The completely-renewed level crossing next to Cuxton Station within Cuxton, Kent as seen on a chilly Thursday Evening only a couple of days after it was commissioned by Atkins Rail Contractors and opened to the public. The crossing was completely converted from two manually-operated swing gates to this current layout throughout the mid part of November 2019, and the current equipment consists of 5 LED wigwags (one of which is thin), two full-road-width SPX barriers made in 2019, two rather quiet yodalarms, and two LED pedestrian lights, neither of which have any hoods or shades. One of the alarms is also on the same pole as one of the pedestrian lights, which is completely separate to one of the wigwags. The adjacent signal box also retains control of this crossing, although the signaller has to get out and operate the pedestal at the bottom of the stairs, very much like at East Farleigh. A lot of work has gone on, and still is going on, to adapt the surroundings and station access routes to the new crossing.
