The poker game scene makes the nickname "Crazy 8" more ironic. Walter was highly intimidated by the nickname "Crazy 8," but Domingo got that nickname because he was too afraid to win a poker hand against his boss.

Krazy 8 is a great example of a side character in the breaking bad universe that's extremely well written and has a story as interesting as a main character if you pay attention to all their appearances

Thats what makes this show and the writing so freaking good not only did vince allrdy know how the show was gonna end they made sure to flesh out almost every single character no matter how minor they might have been. I havent finished the video yet but i wonder if krazy 8 after being arrested and snitching on Gus's dead drops i wonder if he snitched on his cousin emilo and got him arrested and almost got jesse arrested also

My head canon for Domingo showing up not in uniform after the black eye is that he avoided work so that his dad didn’t see the black eye. He was already stressed leading a double life before then, and when he skipped work, he got into an argument with his dad so he decided to quit and delve deeper into the drug world

This makes a lot of sense. It’s interesting how dramatic Domingo’s story is despite being a side character. A man living a double life learns to stand up to his father and run his own crew in the drug trade. Then he becomes a DEA informant, probably picks up a few kills and a few fights, then meets Walter and Jesse

I love how Krazy 8 acts like Jesse (soft and amateur) in Better Call Saul and is oppressed by Nacho. And in Breaking Bad he acts like Nacho (tough and professional) and oppresses Jesse.

Krazy-8 is a fantastic example of a side character that can be analysed from many different perspectives with enough room for us to speculate when certain events regarding him happened (such as when exactly he stopped working at Tampico). Shoutout to Max Arciniega for being able to perform his role so well! Fun fact: there's a store named "Crazy 8" in Better Call Saul (episode 9 of Season 3) which must be an omage to Krazy-8 himself.

I was really happy to see this in my feed, Krazy-8 has always been a personal sleeper favorite thanks to those first Breaking Bad episodes. What a way to start off the show immediately in a way that hooked me (and apparently nearly everyone). I was happy when they expanded on him in Better Call Saul, which gives those scenes with Walt even more meaning, the way Rogue One was already a good film on its own, but as more is added to the 'Andorverse', the end of his story grows ever more meaningful.

41:13 I'd imagine Emilio cooks the majority of the product, while Krazy-8 funds and manages the operation and people. Jesse seems to be the most adept at procurement, had relationships with smurfs who obtain psuedo, and I guess pushes whatever Emilio cooks. I've been trying to see if there's a ball park of how much product or money they found on Emilio when he was busted but haven't been so lucky. Getting caught cooking meth and released kind of implies either Krazy 8 or Emilio had enough funds to pay what was likely a substantial bail amount on that serious of a charge. If they're pushing 1 or 2 lbs of meth a month, that's a decent amount of money split between a small crew and to operate in a small area or network. Considering Jesse never had to pay rent or had any real expenses at that time, he was probably blowing his money on partying, upgrading his car, paying web hosting fees, etc...not saving any of it.

To answer your question about Walt going to the police instead of killing him or letting him go, it's not an option. Firstly there's almost no chance Krazy 8 would get charged with anything, whereas Walt would definitely get charged with kidnapping and probably murder. The DA would have no real case against Krazy 8. Any evidence or testimony would be from Walt/Jesse, kidnappers who disposed of a body in acid.

19:02 Kiwi,i just realized you're a fellow Canadian!...because of the way you say Sorry (which Canadians say as "So-ree", while Americans say it as "Saw-ree"). Not that it changes anything, you're content is great regardless of nationality; it's just cool to know (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)👍🏻

Tampico is also this drink. It's thick and orange.. it kinda taste like sunny delight but thicker consistency but it's bangin. I thank god there's hella hispanics in my area😂🙏 I can't live without empanadas
