Please let me know if I should do these when more characters return in strive! Also, let me know if I missed anything. There's alot of games and alot of moves and I wanted to get this video out on baikens release day, so I totally could've missed a move.

When looked at in series like this, it feels like Baiken grew from a scrawny teen to a meaty woman. Even her voice got deeper over time.

Baiken's presentation in Strive I like the most out of all the versions that exist of her. But I miss all her counter options in that game and it's kinda disappointing her movelist's so much smaller than in previous games. Still a great character though, I guess I'll just have to accept she's completely different...

Their decision with this character has me torn. On one hand, all the hardcore baiken players aren't gonna like baiken because she doesn't have the elements that made those people play baiken in the first place. On the other hand, she's doing cooler and more fun stuff than she ever had before.

Tbh same. Presentation wise, Strive Baiken is easily the best but man Xrd Baiken seems to have the coolest kit imo. That said, I've only played Strive and a bit of +R, but man I wish they give Baiken her Xrd stuff back in the next few updates or so

I tried and tried and couldn't quite get into fighting games until Strive, the smaller move list didn't overwhelmed me, eve. Sfv was too much, with Strives missions, I was comfortable enough to go fight people online, guess for better or for worse

the in-depth breakdown is very commendable compared to other evolution videos on youtube who just showcase a random match and call it a day great work, really!

Just imagine if she had both arms... She could very well level off cities. With the both franchises she goes back n forth, they can very well give her a it in which she volunteers for an artificial prostetic arm or something, there's plenty of high tech or impossibly advanced machinery around, an arm would help quite s bit

Her pride and all that past behind her probably keeps her from outright asking. I imagine she knows with technology there nowadays its possible, but she'd rather stick to her guns and fight on her own terms. If I were to make a wild guess, someone in the canon would quite literally have to force a new arm onto Baiken, and well.... Good luck with that.

@@guardian8926 Anji convinces her to get a modified prosthetic and she only uses it for stuff like the grapple and the firecracker gun, making it almost pointless without rendering it unnecessary.

I wouldn't really say cities. She's really strong, but when compared to ppl like Ky and Sol. She's kinda weak. Tho she would deffo be much stronger if she had depth perception and two hands, I'm just not sure she'd be at the same level as the flame of corruption and the king of Illyria.

One of the only things I think you missed was Kenjyu (Firework gun) that can be performed in the air

They made her design completely different. The original and new one are basically different characters that they tell us are the same.

I know I’m late to the party but why’d they remove the insta kills from GG Strive? I want to buy it but I just know they’re gonna release multiple versions with more characters to piss me off

the game was delayed multiple times so I'm just gonna assume covid and the implementation of rollback mid development is the reason why insta kills are not in the game. I believe they stated a bit before the game came out that they were looking into adding insta kills, but I'm not sure if they're gonna follow up on that. As for multiple versions, I don't think this game will have multiple versions. I think the age of fighting games releasing new versions are over. I literally can't remember the last game that did it besides Guilty Gear Xrd. I get the feeling that this game will be doing yearly season passes like DBFZ and BBTAG instead of the Xrd way of doing things. Overall I really enjoy the game, and as someone that plays Xrd, ACR, and strive, I don't think any of them are better than eachother. I think they all are very different games with very different reasons to enjoy them. If you're interested in the game, I recommend buying it when it's on sale or something because the longer you wait, the bigger the skill gap becomes. And like I said, I don't think they're gonna release multiple versions

@@vantheman325 I honestly think Strive doesn't need it, this game's RC is so good that IK's would be broken unless it had a massive overhaul on how it works such as not being able to do it whenever in Xrd. Besides, rounds end in 25 seconds maximum. It's just gonna be a lot of wasted effort because nobody really uses it or can.. Here's an odd idea to make it used indefinitely, make it restricted to 30% health and have it be as fast as a regular super for 50% meter and can be comboed into Also yeah, there won't be more versions. They said this game will have massive support I believe and they will try to end the game with a large roster so more seasons are confirmed without saying it and we already expected more right?

I've definitely considered doing the whole roster and other fighting game rosters, but I don't think Anji is in enough games, and nobody would watch it. The only reason this video did well is because I timed it with the release of baiken. I don't think an Anji video or any character would be worth making because of the algorithm. Maybe one day, but as of now, I think I'm just gonna stick to the returning dlc characters. If my channel ever gets big though, I gotchu with that Anji video 👀👀👀👀👀

The best version was in GGAC and also GGXRD. ARC butchered Baiken in GGST in favor of making the character much simpler and accessable to more audience.

She is definitely simpler, with alot less tools. However she is better looking, better animated, more satisfying, and more fun than she ever has been. Less tools does not always equal less fun. In some cases it does. It's not just "game simple so it must be boring". It just depends on a case by case basis. In my opinion, a game like mortal kombat 11 is just all around more boring than any NRS game before it. However with strives case, I just think it depends on the character. For example, I practically fall asleep when I play a character like giovanna. When I play sol, nago, leo, or baiken though, I can enjoy the game as much as any other guilty gear, maybe even more. I'd recommend playing the game if you haven't, because it might be something you enjoy, if you don't enjoy it, then it be like that. But just assuming something is inferior because it's not the same as the previous version or more complicated than the previous version is just incorrect almost all the time.
