Girard is featured in a "sequel", called US Marshalls. It doesn't involve Richard Kimble at all, it's about another escaped person, and is a ton of fun also. It also stars Robert Downey, Jr and Wesley Snipes.

It is one of Robert Downey Jr movies that he made when he was dealing with drug addiction and had been dealing with previously serving time in prison for drug convictions. Downey Jr said he didn’t enjoy working on the film.

Also, while not a direct sequel like "U.S. Marshals", "Double Jeopardy (1999)" is another 90's movie starring Tommy Lee Jones chasing some suspect. And if that's still not enough, I'd also add "Hunted (2003)", a bit more darker than those other titles, and it has that Sicario dude, Benicio Del Toro as the perp.

TLJ gave a great performance but the Oscar should have went to Ralph Fiennes for Schindler's List. Of course, the Academy then would never give an Oscar to a performer who portrayed a Nazi war criminal, no matter how kind and professional is the actor.

I got into the show within the last two years or so. It's insanely good and became a new favorite and this is a very worthy version but I hope it wouldn't persuade people to think they've seen the best and don't need to watch the show, it's very clear it was a pioneer of realism and plain old good storytelling on TV and totally refutes the idea TV just suddenly became good decades later.

Especially tommy Lee Jones, I think he's a better Marshal Gerard than the original guy.

One of the neat things the film-makers did was put us, the audience, in Gerard's place. Kimball shares his discoveries with the Marshal's so we get to work on solving the under-lying murder along with the police. It adds to the audience involvement. We aren't just watching a movie, we get intellectually involved in trying to put the pieces together throughout the film.

The trope of dying your hair to change your look goes back to the original tv series in the '60's. David Jansen is gray in the beginning and later dyed his hair. The woman picking him up hitching comes from the TV show as well . Kimble was the James Bond of fugitives!!! Women always fell for him and helped him. Ford even put the Kimble limp into his character an homage to the original show. A lot of fun for fans of the show and a great movie for newcomers!

16:06 - This movie is based upon the 1960s TV series by the same name. 120 episodes would see Dr. Richard Kimble (David Janssen), while being pursued by U.S. Marshalls, arrive in a different town each week. He would either get caught up in or help resolve a situation (at risk of getting caught) and leave town just in time as U.S. Marshall Gerard (Barry Morse) arrived.

And Gerard picked up on that. How can this guy be so sure, if he doesn't know Kimble, does he remember all the doctors in some random photos by heart. He does, because they were the doctors in on the conspiracy (15 people verified his alibi).

Hello fellow Buckeyes. You probably don't know the origin of this story is based on a true story from the 1950s of a doctor from Ohio, Bay Village near Cleveland who claimed his wife was murdered by a one-armed man. The media feasted on the story and the fervor led to a TV series from the 1960s and eventually to this movie from 1993 that I think will go down as a classic.

You guys saw this and understood better than so many others reacting one. Our man killed his wife and she called out for him to save her but there are so many reactors that question is innocence???

I used to watch this a lot as a kid. US Marshals is a loosely affiliated sequel to this.

The train wreck was real, obviously only one take, so they had 13 cameras. The scene cost 1.5 M. The wreck is still there and you can take a short hike and go see it.
