It started because I was going through a really bad depressive episode and didn't want to talk. She told me "you used to be so much fun to hang out with" and it really sucks that I lost someone I thought was my friend because she didn't like the fact that I was struggling and that made me different than I used to be

My mom once told me (I'm nonbinary btw) "I liked [deadname] better, and I don't mean the name I mean the person" I don't know what's wrong with me changing into the person I want to be, but it's caused many night of me thinking I should just go back to my old name and be more girly just so she would be happy. But it's songs like this that remind me that it's okay to be me, no matter what she liked better.

i think this songs perfectly expresses what it feels like to always be trying to be perfect because everyone expects you to and then ending up disappointing those people because sometimes it just gets too much. i don’t know if that’s what the song is really about but this is just my opinion. thats why i love this song so much. also the line “you say i’m changing, sorry i didn’t know i’d stay the same” gets me everytime

The way his voice cracks on some lines is just so good

no one says this but the line "don't worry you don't havt to stay the same" makes me cry. like- change is welcome and it's not frowned upon, that's very comforting to me

it's been too long since i last listened to this song

But, as of four months ago actually, I am finally on medication, and I feel okay for the first time in 15 years. Thank you for checking in, I hope you're doing well too :)
