Something not often discussed: Gorgug is actually pretty important to solving thier biggest mysteries. Dispute his low int, he cares, and so methodically plods back over info that the others have passed on as unimportant, or decided they already had figured out. Most of the fine detail stuff that becomes important later is discovered by Gorgug going “Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but wasn’t that one thing…?” Either that or him making a friend off to the side while he’s chilling. Slow, methodical, wise. He and Christin sort of catches everything that slips past Riz and Adiane in thier rush to the finish line. With Fabian and Fig stabbing wildly off to either side to catch the occasional stray clue 😂 I think that’s lovely 🥰

Theres a clip of Brennan talkng about Ayda's creation. For those who dont know, she was originally meant to be a very minor character! He based her personality on the "sherlock" type (brilliant but intense and socially awkward) as well as some "academic" friends of his. When people started asking if shes autistic he realised wait a minute...she is!! And he did a bunch of research to do her justice :) he also says playing Ayda is very "freeing" 👀👀

I don’t want to be rude but someone playing DND for over twenty years, turning it into their job, and still wanting to play it off-screen (to the bafflement of their friends who also do this for a living) absolutely qualifies it as a special interest. ayda is without a doubt my favorite character of all time in any piece of media. she's a pirate librarian. she's half-phoenix. she's a wizard. she's autistic. she hatched from an egg. she's an astronomer. she's constantly on fire. she has an undercut that is also on fire. what more could you possibly want (spoilers) other things I wanted to include that we learn later she's queer. she raised a child who then went on to raise her after she died and reincarnated in a burst of flame. both of them have sick ass wings and glowy tattoos. her dad pulled the sun out of the sky and broken into heaven by hiding in someone's backpack. i just. she is the most character ever.

It is amazing how they manage to turn complete curveballs and unexpected choices and circumstances into great character arcs - like how Kristen dying in the second episode went on to inform her entire character arc of searching for a new deity, or how Emily and Murph having to be away for a session turned into some of the most important plot points of the start of the season, and now how Fabian's terrible horrible no good very bad day becomes about facing his relationship with his father (and with his almost step father). Shoutout to the players who make and face these choices and to Brennan for weaving the narrative threads so brilliantly. Amazing collaborative storytelling. I love this show.

Situational Depression can be extremely acute for that brief (can still persist many months but not years) and not develop into chronic depression. It is just as valid and often needs the same kind of evaluations and medical intervention.

They love him, but have any of them considered telling him, you know, if you wanted you could change your major and be a wizard? I think you’d be good at it? Cathilda is AMAZING!!! The more she opens up about her past life the more I ADORE her!!! Tragic and adventurous, kind but ruthless❤❤❤ --- Oh Fabian buddy, you need some help... after failing at the one thing he thought he had mastered (fighting) and having to flee in defeat while watching the people who trusted and looked up to him die, then that night finally getting some rest, only to be possessed and murdering his friend and stead with his fathers sword, followed by being hurled into the ocean and contracting pneumonia. Now huddled in the backseat of the Hangvan wrapped in blankets surrounded by his found family grappling at the straws of what he did, who his father was, who Fabian wants to be and who he really is... Lou has played Fabian so realistically and breathtakingly well this season. There is so much depth in his words and heartache in his soul.

There is something poetic about Fabian rolling so badly during his recovery period. It fits the character and really emphasizes the exhaustion and emotional weakness to roll so low so often while he is recovering.

this episode really resounded with me, from Ayda's hard exterior and seemingly hard time at reading people and situations well, to Tracker talking about depression. no flack to the cast, but depressive episodes often seem to come out of nowhere and people do say to cheer up and that its probably just a bad day even though its not and someone has just been living with and hiding it for so long so well- someone CAN have a depressive episode and not have a depressive disorder, may people do. i am projecting my own experiences and im aware of that, but fabian could have very much had a form of depression without "knowing" it because he wanted to hide it from himself and grief/loss often make the pressures and perceived expectations even more deep, so i think it was right for Tracker to acknowledge there was something deeper than just "a bad day" going on because truly having someone validate that experience is what helps actual people seek help. its also wonderful to feel seen with a character who isnt an antagonist because of their "cold exterior" and im glad there wasnt a dance of questionable morals and "is she evil or is she misunderstood?" like movie/tv autism is often portrayed. i love the show and i wouldnt change any of the reactions because they were so real, too, i love this realistic representation and this moment, even if it never is mentioned again in the story. it was solid.
