The Panhandle is the far north of Texas near the Oklahoma border. If Texas as a pan it would be the handle north of Amarillo.

To imply that this song originates or is reminiscent of Floridas panhandle is a stretch. Think Lubbock, or Amarillo. Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys original stomping grounds. The epicenter of Western swing. If you make it up there, be prepared for flat. I mean really flat. So flat that a man saw his dog run off & watched him run for three days. That flat. And be prepared to get some cowboy boots. West Texas, which includes THE Panhandle is home to the best cowboy boot manufacturers in the world. There’s your geography/music lesson. Merry Christmas!

There are numerous panhandles in the United States: the Florida panhandle, the Texas panhandle and its first-cousin the Oklahoma panhandle; and the Idaho panhandle as well. Any state that has a long sliver or "handle" of land as part of its shape.....

Hey folks the Panhandle is the upper northwestern portion of Florida. Also the upper portion of Texas is referred as the Panhandle. That's correct. The singing and playing is incredible! I'm a drummer, but always wished I could play like that. Beautiful Happy Holidays! Love the French Family Band!

Oklahoma and Idaho are two other states that also have “panhandles”. Just look them up on a map. Although this song is clearly about the Texas panhandle.

Panhandle is a narrow strip of land attached to a larger area. So Florida has a panhandle, the strip of land just south of Alabama. Alaska has a panhandle, the strip of land running south of the main state body along the Pacific and beside BC. Both of these are obvious when you look at a state map. The Texas panhandle is less obvious but is North Texas with Amarillo centering it.

Panhandle describes part of a state that looks like it could be used to pick it up like you would pick up a pan. Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas have them. However, the panhandle here in Texas is the big square part that sticks way up. It doesn't look so much like a panhandle. Amarillo is in the Texas panhandle. Florida and Oklahoma have more easily identifiable panhandles. Some other states may have something that could be called a panhandle, but the people of that state may not have ever given it the name.

A panhandle is a part of a state that has a section that sort of stands alone away from the main part of the state. Think of northwest Florida the part that is next to south Alabama, Oklahoma the long narrow part that is above the north west section of the Texas panhandle.

Florida Panhandle or Texas Panhandle......

Texas and Oklahoma have panhndles like our 🍳 🇨🇰 👨‍🍳 🍳 🇨🇰 👩‍🍳 pots and pans. Other places have pan handles. Don't handle the hot pans without a pot holder. When yiu play a gig there make certain you want chili with hall yo peen yos in yo taxes. 😋
