Beautiful introduction to Eastern Yogic wisdom and focus on consciousness. Seems about time that Westerners humble ourselves and experience what the world needs now- before it’s too late. Om… Namaste… Peace and lovingcare to all…

In man the emotional brain is the great motivator. The choice of aims, of goals, of “games worth playing” is made in this brain. It alone electrifies a project with that activist glow that makes the difference between a dream and a reality. R. S. De Ropp

Dear Theodore, after 40+ years studying, practising and struggeling in, on and around this way 'to the inside', 'to awakening', I am happily surprised by the beautiful essence in this explanation and the very relevant used quotes. Very well done. Thank you. To read Dennis Waite's book A-U-M, awakening to reality, which also adresses many of the relevant aspects brought to light here, may be very helpfull and deepening.

17:37 ‘self-remembering is awareness of the presence of God’ - “awareness of the presence of God is self-remembering.” Constant lively relation to sacred Word must be a useful complement to the fourth way - moulding the centre from both sides.

Thank you, Mr Nottingham. I used to listening to you, but lost your channel. Today, while searching for Gurdjieff's videos, I found you again. And I know you take this thing called life seriously, and I am pleased that I did find you again.

This introduction was very good, especially when you cited the 4 states os consciousness, and that we are pulled and pushed by the two first ones. Thanks for the good job, this video gives a very clear idea for those who want to get into Gurdjieff´s ways.

I resonate with the core of his teachings, which is essentially the perennial philosophy. Yet, I take issue with gurus and their methods, as they sometimes unintentionally or intentionally create quasi-religions. Over time, followers tend to become rigid and mechanical. Even Gurdjieff himself aimed to cultivate a more flexible mind, but the truth is, when you follow any teachings, no matter how true, your mind can eventually become mechanical. Truth given to you by someone else can transform into untruth, and deeper truths are often unteachable. The true journey to the real world involves going solo, shedding all teachings. Clarity in perceiving the real world arises only when your mind is free from all preconceptions; the real world is indescribable. Gurus aim to eliminate all perspectives, but whether consciously or not, they might end up instilling their own viewpoint in your mind.
