Hey, so first off thank you all for the shocking amount of support on this video, I was NOT expecting it to do so well, so thank you all! Any comments I find helpful and good to know will be given a heart, that way people who may also be new to the game can use those as good advice. I recorded this video last week, and as of today, the wait is over and I have Garuda! But for everyone who was wondering why I would choose to grind for Garuda when there were better ways of getting her or even just better frames, it was to teach myself how the game works by giving myself a goal to learn *how* the game works. I love this game, and I’m enjoying it even more with a lot of things even brought up in the comments here. Thank you all for the positivity and support, y’all epic!

Never shy away from asking, here in YT, Twitch or the game Q&A chat. If you want your Warframe experience to be intact, I recommend activating the "no gifts from other players" in the game options. As loooooooonh time vet, i will offer a tip for future hunts, Ratka Dark Dagger (from the syndicate) has a hidden passive, it reduces the range at which your warframe can be detected by 25% Happy Hunting

There's no way to bypass the daily standing cap using money, so it's literally just there to avoid people burning out by doing the same thing over and over again. It's there because the game wants you to grind towards multiple things at the same time, not just one. So you finish your Fortuna standing for the day and move on to the next thing you wanna get done that day

You mentioned getting new warframes. The easiest way to get new warframes as a beginner is to do boss fights. Each boss drops a specific warframes parts. Every time you beat the boss, it will drop one of the three components needed to make the warframe, so you need to fight the boss until you get all three of the components. You do need to progress through the star chart so that you will be able to unlock all of the boss fights. The blueprints for the war frames can be purchased for credits in the market on your orbiter. There are also a few quests that will allow you to unlock a warframe. Additionally, a great way to gain mastery rank to increase your maximum daily standing at the beginning of the game is to go into the market and purchase all of the weapons you can buy with credits and level them and then sell them if you dont want to continue using them. Hope this helped!

one of the best parts about warframe is that the community is pretty friendly and willing to help but there is definitely a need for mentors or a better new game experience lol

Warframe is, I would argue, in the category of "The grindiest games of all time". I have 815 hours put into Warframe, Mastery Rank 18. I would also argue that Warframe is NOT kind to new players at all. New players DEFINITELY need a sherpa at almost all times, and there are people who will answer any questions you have if you ask. I have also learned that not all Fandom wikis can be trusted with information, but Warframes wiki is helpful, at times. The grind for Warframe can and will burn you out if you're not careful. I know that from experience on several occasions, but I still come back to the game to grind out Mastery 30. Fluff, you grind the Ropalolyst out, you'll get another Frame. She is a damn good Frame, Wisp. I main her, I enjoy her, she's a good all around Frame. Crowd control and ally support. Good luck with your Garuda drops. I know those tables are a pain in the ass, a lot.

I’ve been watching an insane amount of yt videos because of how vague the explanation is to play the game.

The funniest thing for me was that when Fortuna launched, I was sooo enamored by the floofs you could get for capturing animals that I grinded the shit outta of Fortuna just to be able to get more and more, so I can build my ideal plush world in my orbiter and because of that and how much standing you get for Solaris because of it I ended up getting max standing super quickly and all my friends are just barely getting to like 3rd level even though they've played longer than me.

It's scary to think that so many players focused on sht like Fortuna and Plains of eidolon grinds and completely ignored their star chart and story progress. Practically burning themselves out grinding stuff they could get way faster later, and quitting the game before properly experiencing what makes it so good in the first place.

Those 2 places are the most shiny and beatiful places in the game and is more enjoyable to be lost there than in the claustrophobic tilesets of the star chart.

If you go to the duviri on your navigation and click the circuit every week you can choose 1 out of the 3 Warframe they offer

I played warframe years ago and pretty much the only thing i can remember is hearing general vor's name and bursting out laughing

You can see where to get a frame when you go to their page in the market and hover over the blueprint. Most of the frames, if not all, tell you where to get the BP and the parts for it. You can also get a TON of info by hovering over things here and there, like arsenal, melee combos, abilities etc. And don’t forget about the “i” icon in the bottom right of the menus. Warframe gives you the information you want to know, but only if you’re actively seeking it. You just have to, well, read. And pay attention. Which most of the player base doesn’t like to do, according to the dev team…

The only thing I'm burnt out on it the damn mining... please stop the mining, I don't mind argon expiring please STOP THE MINING GRIND!!!

There is an entire chat tab for asking questions, and there is an automatic programmed reponse if you ask where to get certain resources and warframe parts.

Always great to see new people get into the game, there is so many systems and activities, it is insane how much it opens up when you get the main story done

So one of the ways to tell what mission you have to play to get a Warframe is to go to the market and search up a Warframe you want then hover over the blueprint and it should tell you what mission drops the parts or where to get them

Also debt bonds are fortuna ONLY

Good luck young tenno, before you know it you'll be spending way more time than needed to make your warframe absolutely GORGEOUS

While it is a confusing quest. Finishing the Duvii paradox questline unlocks the circuit which is a nice way to try new frame and weapon while slowly unlocking a new frame for free with an extra augment for more testing. It's also very good to get very annoying to farm warframe an easier alternative.

Mag gets extremely good in late game. Getting lots of area control and the ability to dump out crazy amounts of damage using only a few abilities.

Mag is the first and only frame I've played (I'm new) but I can already feel how strong she has potential to be. Working on her mod-set now and it's incredible what she can do even with just a few of the "correct" mods! o:

The duviri circuit gives you a weekly selection of three base warrrames. You can only choose one, and only warframes that have prime variants can show up in this selection. It's great for all kinds of players, because newer players can get warframes before they meet the boss who drops them, and mid-game players can guarantee they get all the parts of harder-to-get frames. I am a pussy and will NOT be touching the Zenith Granum Void, I will be waiting for Protea to get on the rotation :3

the circuit in the duviri gives you all the parts for a new warframe once a week and its pretty easy to do

incredibly useful for mastery ranking too! if you pick a new frame you have thats really low level and use them in the circuit youll max em in a few rounds

Want more Warframes? Go to the warframe equip screen and click on a warframe that you want to get, then go to the bottom and click purchase. It will then open up a screen that shows you EXACTLY what you need to do to get that warframe, where you need to farm to acquire it, and sometimes, just allows you to buy the blueprint needed for that warframe, for credits (the blue things you get)! After that, it's just about gathering the components from boss fights and then crafting it on your Orbiter. Personally, I would recommend revisiting old boss fights and getting all the warframes that you missed, the game is a whole lot more fun when you are playing with a full roster and can swap out builds for each mission. Favorite way to go out into the open world? Use Ivara and go invisible everywhere. No enemies can aggro onto you and you can hunt animals for standing without disruption.

Love to see new tenno's doing the star chart first, its pretty much the most important thing to as a newbie, just want to add that your MR is tied to your mod capacity, for example, if you build something at mr 7 you will have 7 base capacity when you go and mod, having MR 15 will give you 15 base and so on, figured this out too late for my own haha. Keep the content up! ❤

Been playing this game for 5 years on and off, about 600 hours in right now. There are so many things to do in Warframe, the more you progress the more you unlock. Everything does change and feel a lot different once you get to mid and late game. Have fun with it and take your time! Also, I agree with your problems with the Wiki and the new player experience. It used to be even worse.. Watching other Warframe youtubers for guides can help as the alternative for using the wiki. If you need build guides for doing more damage they do tend to use op late game mods and items that are hard to obtain, or end up spoiling parts of the game you haven't gotten to yet. But whether you feel the need to do that, it's up to you :)

reached 1k hours mark a few days ago and im still comepletely addicted, even in the late game the weekly grind does NOT end

it's good to see new Player enjoying this game it is very nostalgic for me to see the early game :) it is also weird for me to se people take a lot of time understanding the gameplay of warframe. if you need lots of reasources some warframe and dark serctors can help with the grind.

To anyone reading: equinox prime set is going for less than 50 plat right now, it is easier to get than her normal version. You can slot a lot of range in her day form and just run around spamming her sleep ability to farm reputation, this is specially faster once you unlock the archwing launcher and become able to fly.

Sniper theme got me hooked, continue making videos funny man.

Use a stance with melee, it's triples damages and unlock combos, and adds mods capacity. for swords there is stance mod from one of early junctions

I can relate. The first frame I ever got/farmed was xaku. Had to start from 0 to rank 5 fortuna. Took me about 1 and a half weeks of playing everyday

Tbh I love how many things game doesn't learn you.. I really enjoy that. I have been playing and not playing since 2016 and still finding new stuff... This makes me stay in WF for so long :D

Ahh the fortuna grind, extremely jank when it released but an incredible sense of unity in those days, i still remember all the cheese you can do with a lot of it like using sleep abilities to get animals real fast, or the many hours farming cores with a dedicated team, the hyldryn boss being super jank but auper fun too. Warframe is super deep but it also has so much into it, best way to find stuff you want is to get someone that knows the game a lot and spend 2 hours asking them everything wich is not good but i dont think a tutorial would be able to get that much information into your brain

Honestly I like the daily standing cap, it forces me to interact with a variety of stuff any time I play instead of just grinding one thing. Also the cap raises with MR so as you rank up it speeds things up a fair bit

I have on-off played warframe for awhile, this year i got even more into it and have grinded loads. I'm MR20 now, I own most of the prime frames, "i'm on steelpath now and the end game. I say to focus on completing the planets, and work towards the new war quest. I bypassed the grind just to catch up on quests and opening up everything personally. Now i just have to grind and farm and so on. It's deffs more fun with friends ^^.

once you get done with most the game the true endgame is fashion frame

Circuit is a good way to get frames, a mod for said frame and arcanes and not to mention exp for schools and affinity. Granted you can only select from 3 preset a week but thats how ive gotten some of the harder frames

Brand new Warframe player here, my partner introduced me. I feel very SEEN by this video haha! I play Mag, I am currently rocking the Boltor too... To top it all off? Everything you say in this video, I have said to my partner over the past 2-3 weeks (in which I've racked up 62h of gameplay........) lol. I'm lucky that he is teaching me what he knows, and that his basic knowledge means he can probably figure something out if I feel confused because let's face it even the Wiki can be confusing! It's a great game, but SO vast and complicated that a newbie like myself is easily intimidated or frustrated out of giving it a fair chance.

For catching animals, you can use sleep abilities to put them to sleep. So you can use ivaras sleep arrow and equinoxs sleep ability on night form. Makes catching groups of animals super easy. Still would have to use the rifle to find them roaming. But yea

Warframe is incredibly WAY more rewarding than 100% of mmorpg out there, and definitely 100% of gacha games, both genres I played for YEARS. I'm in day 46 of Warframe and the last time ive been addicted to a game like this was yearrss ago. It's grind-hell but at least you know you'll get something after, not to mention you can earn platinum very easily, as well.

Imo base star chart as a whole is early game.

I'll admit that this game does a bad job telling new players how to get things done but it actually _does_ tell you how to get new frames (granted it's shoved into a corner and itself isn't told to you). If you go into the arsenal, go to the warframe selection, and click on a frame you don't have, you'll see the option to either buy the frame with plat or buy the blueprint with credits (though some blueprints are obtained elsewhere, not bought). If you hover over the blueprint button, it actually tells you where and how to get the parts. Most older frame parts are obtained from bullying a specific boss for an hour or two. Also, the grind for Garuda can be massively cut out by someone who's over rank 4 crafting the gems you need to make her and just trading them to you. No, the game doesn't tell you this, you just figure it out on your own at some point :))) Shoutout to Gauss for requiring being rank 4 with BOTH Cetus and Fortuna, and my boyfriend for being nice enough to give me the gems I needed when I was still stuck at rank 3 with both :)

The new player experience has always been rough. Every update they do little tweaks and improvemnts, and it is miles better than it used to be. But there is still a long ways to go

welcome to the grind together we sing our anthem Cold the air and water flowing.

I remember trying to get garuda on launch while being MR10 and my daily standing cap was trash and took me like a week to get to rank 3 until i realized i could ask someone to trade me the refined gems (I got them from a clan mate for free but you could get them from someone in trade chat for basically nothing or free) and also something that many new players tend to forget is the importance of MR it not only unlocks new weapons but it raises daily standing caps and makes grinding syndicates much faster but i can agree that the game isn't very informative in where you can get new warframes and mods or even what you can do and not to even start on mods that can be really easy for experienced players and it kinda becomes second nature but it's a horrible experience to begin with and yeah i know that most drop locations and many things are explained in the codex and by clicking on the tutorial button but that's not an excuse PS: i really hope that you continue on your journey in this game it can be confusing at first but once you get the hang of things it becomes so much fun and you still have lots to learn and experience with this amazing game

My reccomendation is to literally just sit in the orbiter and try to uderstand as many features as you can. Also use the quest as anchor points between your sessions. Thats how I did it, lastly dont be scared of fuckin up I did it too many times to count

This game is the perfect time management and way to spend your spare time when crafting materials. Set your goals, thats what got me through a lot of this game, mediocre advice but hey its true and simple

I feel like new player experience would really benefit from the daily standing being increased, or blueprints for components to be available at any rank. The bounty + recource grind is already what, 2 days? and with the wait times, you need a working-week to unlock a new frame.

I'll say this up front, the only open world frame that is 100% not worth the grind to get is Revenant. Genuinely save yourself the headache and just buy his prime parts off someone. Garuda I personally skipped the grind myself and traded for her prime blueprints, saved myself so much headache.

I got stuck on Jupiter with unmodded weapons and an unmodded Loki (a starter at the time) I don't even remember who taught me how to rank up mods and farm warframes. Sure as hell it wasn't the game. I feel like there's a lot on info on the codex but the game doesn't tell you to use it either.

you could use ivara than the tranq gun too, her sleeping arrows and invisibility makes it easier and always perfect capture for creatures.

Do not let the side content like warframe grinds take up too much of your time early on. It's fine to do but def focus on the story.

youtube recommended this a week late, but you have access to at least 10 warframes by Uranus. they are boss mission drops for each planet. half the quests reward warframes as well once you have access. good luck and good hunting

So Warframe skills also count for knocking out stuff not just the Tranquilizer rifle skills like Ivara’s sleep arrow and equinox’s rest/rage put targets to sleep. One thing I’ve been meaning to do for a while is subsume (if you don’t know what that is just carry on playing the story you will learn at some point) rest/rage onto Titania that will let me fly around fast and put stuff to sleep and pick them up for max standing with the best catch modifier.

Farm every regular warframe and regular weapon you'll gain more mastery rank when you upgrade weapons and warframes i always level my stuff up in senda hydron. and you gained more standing cap and. i also played a lot of public random relic missions with people and got prime stuff before .

The Uranus quest locking half the game was true about 5 years ago Nowdays, around 80% of the game is locked behind it 😅

Another good way is to multitask. Say for example you're after Garuda, doing the bounties that have a chance to drop her parts, will give a fair amount of standing. Not the fastest, true, but it's more about the whole two birds, one stone, kinda thing. Also from one furry to another, heya! ❤

Just a little info. Im close to 1000 hours in , and I'm just at mastery rank 14 out of 30. Just cause my focus was farming too.

Funny part is that they did the ranking up requirements for cetus and orvalis less demanding like 3 or 4 months ago even a lil more, now you just need to get aya, same with the other syndicates from the relays, you dont need a lot of specific materials or prime parts anymore, i do understand the problem tho, i think the community is well aware of it, that's why we get those quality updates. you know what is crazy? DE just keeps making voidrig easier to farm as time goes on, this is like the second or third time they make it less than a chore, that tells how fucked up that shit was before

To ignore the very real issues with fortuna and just deal with Garuda, this is probably a situation where grinding fissures to get platinum for Garuda Prime is easier.

I racked up about 2000 hours between 2015-2017, gave it a rest because i had done everything in the game up to that point, and came back a couple months ago with a BUNCH of new content to run through, and after another few hundered hours in I still havent finished it. I saw the release of the open worlds into the game with Plains and Fortuna, and they "tried" to improve the new player experience, but the problem is all they did was make a cinematic intro and an shinier tutorial level. The BIG problems that turn new players away, they still didnt expand on. They do not explain the modding system at all, in how you acquire new mods, how to up rank them, what upranking them does, and how they affect your warframe nor how they affect capacity. They didnt explain much of any of the other modules in the orbiter, they dnt explain how to progress through the star chart and therefore the game, they dont explain when or how quests are involved should you want to play the story, they dont expain the Platinum system at all, so there are a LOT of players that see that and think its a heavly monetized game, when in fact its the most user friendly monetization in ANY game since it can be earned just y playing and traded amongst players (seriously name another MMO that has a largely player driven premium economy that does it this well) so on and so forth. The unfortunate thing is, they still leave the game as this "you gotta figure it out" type of deal on top of the level and time gating. Its pretty much a neccessity for you to either have a friend who has already played the game long enough to help and answer your questions for you, or better yet play WITH you, but let YOU do the work so you can learn instead of just carrying you. Or you need to have the game wiki up in the background that you can refer to if you get stuck and need to figure out how to do certain things. Everything from where you can farm warframe or weapon parts, where you can find certain mods, how you can effectively farm relics to then get Prime frames and weapons, etc etcetera. Shit if i could do game design, id honestly offer them my free service to just tidy it up and put these things into the game for them.

Also, a bit of advice that help keep me going through ll these hours of constant grinding, is never, and i mean NEVER doing the same thing for longer than an hour a day. Mix it up, grind different things, play different modes. Go farm gems and minerals for a while, then do a few bounties, jump back to orbiter and go do a Sanctuary run for focus grind and relic farming, do a few Syndicate missions searching for their tokens to trade in, do a couple Hydron runs to level some items whether they be new or recently been Forma'd, run a few Fissure missions and get some Prime parts and so on. Shaking it up all the time might have made certain grinds take a bit longer in the grand scheme of things, but it helped keep my sanity and willingness to keep playing. Nothing worse than doing the same thing over and over and over and running into burnout, which has long been a big complaint by "veterans" f this game because they grind everything to the Nth degree that they get no joy out of doing that thing anymore, end up hitting the "end game wall" again and again, then complain for weeks or months that they have nothing left to do, until DE adds in something new, then they immediately jump on it and grind, grind, grind til theyre bored of it and go straight back to whinging. Do yourself the favour of shaking it up from time to time. Trust me, youll have a much better time in the long run.
