Okay, so this is a pretty consistent thing if you look into comic lore. Weapon X is the name given to Wolverine as the magnum opus of the Weapon X program. The Weapon X program is a department that was tasked with creating mutant/mutate weapons to hunt down mutants and was later transferred to Canada's Department K - Deadpool, Sabertooth, Lady Deathstrike, Maverick, and of course Wolverine, are all products of this firm. Weapon Plus is the all-encompassing program created by the US Government tasked with developing biological weapons to secure America from threats outside of conventional tactics - with Captain America being the very first of these experiments. It's a long and complicated history. Also, Omega Red is a Wolverine rival. So the issue with Lady Deathstrike is that the process and the materials used to give Wolverine his adamantium were stolen from her father, who was a head of a crime syndicate. Lady Deathstrike, thinking that Wolverine was the thief, has been after the mutant for decades. Funny enough, she had once been a more stable woman who teamed up with Daredevil to save her boyfriend from said father and to act on revenge for him killing her brothers. Oh, and just to add, she's a cyborg who also has adamantium laced claws and a skeleton. She likely survived.

It was an ongoing experiment in the comics....called the weapon plus project...also wolverine can absolutely sneak around he is a trained ninja he has stealth skills

So what you're saying is that a Joker-voiced Wolverine got to meet with a Batman-voiced Spider-man in this game. And the devs never made a crossover sequel. Or a sequel of the crossover where Wolverine and Spider-man teamed up with the Batman to take down the Joker and all four had these two voice-actors. Unreal.

My favorite game. I beat this game many times in different costumes . A sequel was needed.

Ah, good old "Thoughts and prayers", greatest superpower ever as it always solves every problem.

Looking at this today in 2021 and suddenly their 2-part Virus Cure makes a lot more sense. I say this game was AHEAD OF ITS TIME!!!

Love this game. But it was bloody difficult. What I really love this game for is the atmosphere, and the fact that the developers took Wolverine, who'd you imagine as being just an indestructible killing machine with automatic healing that makes for an easy gameplay, and made playing him more stressful than you can imagine. I also think that's why the checkpoints weren't used in the game. Wolverine has his healing factor for most of the game. Add to that checkpoints, and you have a less stressful game.

My problem with this game is it’s difficulty. A lot of the missions are really long and you have no checkpoints. I had so much trouble with the game I looked up an invincibility code.
