New games still are. It's usually AAA games that have become factory assembly line products. AA or indie games still have many, many passion projects.

Been replaying the games and it’s curious to consider that many of the forgotten may have been GDI/NOD veterans. I remember in one of the cutscenes Carter talks about how he and all his men are suffering from T poisoning. Not to mention how many men you may command to move through Tib field. I always had a soft spot for the forgotten, imagining they were not just mad about being left behind by the world but by the flags they fought for. Men and women truly forgotten.

Such a underrated and "forgetten" faction. Kinda shame Forgotten haven't been given more screen action during Tib War III (God bless the community and Carnius for "Tiberium Essence" though). Their lifes are hard, land is unforgiving, but they survive. They ALWAYS survive. That's commendable and worth respect. Also they have other badasses outside Ghost Stalker and Hijacker. (20:12) 😎

Mods are a blessing here.

I’m mostly impressed by the storytelling in the Skirmish maps. The Forgotten forging their own spots across the maps and attacking anyone who gets close was not at all necessary but they added it in.

And here I thought you were done with the lore. The Forgotten truly got done dirty. From Tratos, the Ghost Stalker and Umagon playing major roles in the GDI and NOD campaigns to a single unit type in CnC 3 to completely absent in the game that we shouldn't talk about that came after Kane's Wrath.

The atmosphere and setting in Tiberian Sun is so haunting that Tib Wars 3 felt like a downgrade but a great game still along with it's expansion

C&C3 was a valiant effort and more than I expected from the post-Westwood era. But it still doesn't live up to Tiberian Sun as a sequel, despite having some interesting ideas for the lore. Ideally I'd have a fresh start after Tiberian Sun that follows it more logically and stylistically.

Telling of the firestorm crisis and how the 'unnamed' Nod commander recovered the tactitus, u are describing your own tactics which is quite funny to me. I love how u incorporate the campaigns that have brought me so much join in my childhood. I always look forward to your uploads, thank you Jethild

In Tiberium Wars Advanced mod, there are very nice Mutant units Like Marauder (gatling guns), Sentinels (rocket launchers) and Vigilantes (laser cannons)

There's also completly separate mod for Forgotten called Tiberium Wars The Forgotten mod! In my personal opinion the best The Forgotten mod there is! Still waiting for Kane's Wrath expansion port!

It’s amazing how adaptable and universal Tiberium is. Can be used as biological mutator, fuel, armor, etc.

If they ever remaster tiberium sun, they should add a forgotten campaign.

They seem pretty cool , I've often wondered how a full faction of forgotten would work in cnc tib wars three and Kane's wraith. While I love the scrin, even if their slightly under developed. I would have loved to see a more individualistic forgotten faction included as well.

EA may have forgotten these guys, but we haven't. These guys are some of the best lore in Tiberium series. I wish the Forgotten were given more light in recent CnC games and content, but videos like this are sufficient enough so the Forgotten aren't as their name implies in our eyes. Thank Jethild, you are a credit to your work and a blessing to the community.

Frankly, if the Scrin were more uniquely designed _(gameplay wise, aesthetically they look great),_ it would've been cool to recquire *the Mastermind* (or the Prodigy and the Cultists for Traveler-59) in order to control and recruit the Forgotten. Would've made more sense, since they otherwise would NEVER even consider working with alien invaders.

I think my head cannon of their arsenal is that they use variety of old tech weapons from Tiberium Dawn and the Red Alert 1 Weapons modified to suit their needs.

I love the choice of "The Spice Must Flow" track from Emperor Battle for Dune. It fits the desolate landscape of TibWar II and is indirectly referencing the Fremen, which the Forgotten can be argued to be the C&C version of.

Imagine if The Forgotten was the main focus of the story for the 4th Tiberium War. GDI would just be a small resistance faction. I think that would be an awesome idea for a game.

Sad that the non-canon C&C 3 mod The Forgotten didn't make it in the video as some thrown breadcrumbs, like "rumors say that some forgotten fought against the brotherhood and helped destroy a hidden scrin control node captured and protected by Nod." The add-on story from C&C Labs is amazing and everyone should play the Forgotten campaign mod.

Tiberian Sun is still the best C&C when it comes to story and atmosphere. A very dark chapter in the Tiberium universe and that's what makes it so exciting. Here the GDI also shows its true face about the forgotten ones. Take the scene where Umagoon asks Mc Neil for help to free the prisoners. In return, the forgotten people support the GDI. General Solomon's response is clear and invalidates the response to the GDI's alleged attack on the Forgotten. The Forgotten would be allies of the GDI xD. What is irony allowed? In Tiberium Wars, only pure humans were allowed into the blue zones, everything else went into the yellow zones. That's why I'm not surprised at all by the hatred against the GDI :D. More for Nod ^^ Great video from you ^^

can't really blame GDI though, considering the stage of tiberium at that time and inviting the forgotten into the blue zone would risk further tiberium spread. GDI's doing their best, but they can't save anyone. At least they are kind enough to build mutant hovels in yellow zones instead of just abandoning them.

There is a mod for TibWars named - The Forgotten, with its own mutants campaign. In this campaign you can see where have been the mutants and what are they did during Third Tiberium war. It can be easily implemented in canon.

They have great mod for tibwars in which the developers themselves made cutscenes (something I very appreciated)

And fittingly, they were forgotten in later C&C parts. Instead, the developers had the "original" idea of adding aliens as a 3rd faction to the game.

I'm cooking up a modification for the Beyond the Gates of Antares tabletop gaming rules for Tiberian Sun. Definitely including the Forgotten as a full faction!

Potentially the assimilator either mind controls like the mastermind or spreads the foreman's control of tiberium based life to the Marauders when capturing the mutant hovel

this made me redownload cnc 3 just to play the essence mod, the older forgotten mod is awesome too and if anyone doesnt know about it they should try it.

I like watching you videos. They are always informative and explain things very good. As someone who was introduced to C&C when I bought Tiberium Wars on a Steam sale a few years ago, I appreciate you videos. I also like how you totally ignored Tiberian Twillight. Terrible game.

This is the fourth longest video on the C&C lore on his channel only by a couple minutes.

Still loving your great videos and for not mentioning what’s happening in this ominous c&c 4.

Perhaps the Vein Hole Monster sees the Mammoth Tank as so big it cannot be food. That’s why lighter vehicles get attacked.

Why is the Tiberian Sun lore so much more intresting than tiberium wars

I would have loved it if they were a playable faction for CnC3.

I really hope another developer gets their hands on the rights to cnc and expands on the lore of the universe. It's fascinating.

It strange how Nod have a strong dislike toward the forgotten when Kane was trying to remake the world which the Forgotten can thrive in.

🤔 true, I never thought about that

....After finishing C&C3 & Kane's wrath, my best headcanon for the forgotten is that they went literally underground. As the tiberium lifeforms did so before them as the final stage of tiberium life cycle reaches maturity mostly on the surface. Also, the marauders might be like the scouting party for the forgotten and are the greatest hand picked people deemed worthy to scour the surface, given their tattoos. Who would have known what kind of new biosphere developed beneath the pits of vein hole monsters.
