Trees could save the planet by restoring degraded soil. However most planting is in vain, as the roots can not grow in dry zones. Now a method has been found to make forests without planting by activating the underground root systems of former vegetation.
Documentary by Academy Award winner Volker Schloendorff about Tony Rinaudo's method FMNR, alternative Nobel award 2018.
