I am not surprised in the least that the only person who stayed in the pacer running test (11:17) the longest is the American, Lim. It's required for us in American middle and high school physical education classes to do pacer tests and mile runs every week.

my son is in calvi, corsica continuing his training with 2 rep. he left the paras in the uk and loves being in the legion. he spends more time training now than in the paras where he was sitting about. legion , best of the best.

@@jmr5792 left paras about 2 & a half years ago now and he been in para regiment of legion for a year. There is a few Brits but they come from all countrys. It not necessary to speak French as the instructors speak pretty good English anyway.

Content pour le petit Vafaina qui méritait ce képi blanc car il a un courage de fou. Ça aurait été dommage de ne pas y arriver juste à la fin alors qu'il a montré une force de caractère énorme !!! Pour Lim, quel gâchis car il aurait pu intégrer la légion étrangère sans problème, si simplement il n'était pas si bagarreur. Bref, moi je rêvai de faire parti de la légion étrangère mais je n'ai jamais eu le courage de sauter le pas, bien joué pour tous ceux qui l'ont fait et qui aujourd'hui sont légionnaires !!!

My uncle served in Indo-China (Vietnam). He came back with heavy malaria and his body full with shell fragments.. But he was proud to be a legionair and the Legion did never forget him, for medical care and a good pension. At the end he died because of the malaria infection.

Des hommes d'honneur tout simplement, j'ai connu un ancien d'indo (sud Annam), il est resté légionnaire jusqu'au bout.

But they did'nt have shown us all more brutal details of basic training (the FFL is one of the few militaries where the recruits are allowed to be beaten by the instructors) or a look inside the 2eme REP.

quelqu'un qui prend un fusil et prêt à mourir pour toi est un homme de valeur?! à la télé, ils les nomment des kamikazes, islamistes, terroristes... venus de partout dans le monde pour porter des armes en échange de nourriture. I really feel for Lim (not finished with docu yet). Not every soldier needs to be a genius but learning a language is hard. Just from listening to him speak his own language he seems either super nervous or just not too bright

pour apprendre le francais pas besoin d entrer dans la legion dans ma banlieue il ya des cours de francais et ils sont gratuits il ya des endroits gratuit pour dormir et le pour manger l assistante sociale va s occuper des papiers pour que tu reste en France l etat francais va te donner des euros on appelle ca des lol lol lol DUR DUR LE 93

Bravo au Caporal Chef en 3 ans d'école militaire et tout paticulièrement de sous oficiers j'ai rencontré beaucoup de chefs qui lui ressemblait avant d'etre moi meme sous officiers.Un bémol le manque de cohésion et la compétition au maximum entre les différents soldats tout grades confondus.Sergent Yves BONNARD.

I was in the usmc and we still used radios from the early 90s. Nothing really surprising knowing budgets go mostly towards SF in most militaries if not all.

Hello from Serbia. This country really corrupt, hope we can progress to the west and NATO, and not to those eastern commie fucks.

Some of the greatest soldiers that ever took up arms. Outnumbered 10-1, at Bir Hakim, and running desperately short of everything but air and heat, they slaughtered the Germans--Rommel's best--at a rate of nearly 21-1. I am continually astonished that no one has ever made a film about that epic engagement. A Paris Metro Station proudly bears the name "Bir Hakim" The Germans should've stayed home that day. One more reason why Hitler feared the French as much as he did. "Vive la mort,vive la guerre,vive le sacre legionnaire"!

@Olwen Dolphin Hitler had drawn up plans to control France and the French after WW ll. He knew they would never stop until they'd won. He may have despised them,but he rightly feared them. France has fielded some of the greatest armies that ever marched. He should've stayed the Hell out of France. He didn't strut for long,did he?

1:22:54 ...I think that a good officer and above all a good soldier should help his wounded comrade instead of continuing to keep his hands smiling in his pocket avoiding and dodging any physical contact with the wounded soldier (as we can see in this movie) ... Personally I would never have an officer like that as a commander ... you have to be good soldiers but sometimes human too ... This is my opinion.

He's not a medic. He's not trained to treat patients. When you don't now what you're doing, it's better to do nothing at all rather than risk doing more damage. If someone had frostbite and couldn't feel their limbs, the last thing I'd want to do it move them around and touch them a lot when I'm not trained to do so. That officer did what he could
