Turks put all blame on EOKA in order to justify ethnic cleansing and stealing of property from Greek Cypriots, and continued unjustified illegal occupation. No one is buying Turkish fake narrative. That's why no one has recognized so-called "TRNC"

I am from Greece and as I see there are completely and utterly two different worlds upon this island and this issue in general! Greek Cypriots say that they did nothing to Turkish Cypriots in 1963 and that the latter started first! The Turkish Cypriots say the opposite. The Greek Cypriots say that this was an invasion resulting to occupation and Turkish people say that this was a Peace Operation. The Greek Cypriots say that a lot of families were decimated and the rest of the people became refugees on their own land, while the Turkish say the same, for the opposite outcome! As long as the two different cultures deny to reconcile with each other on social- religion status (and of course, as a result on an economic basis), the solution is not approachable! What defines a country from others is nationality and religion (for religious people which believe that state and religion come together-Not me.:)). But Cyprus is a big exception! It has two different nations, two different religions and two different cultures far away from each other and hostile one another! Of course then unification and equality can not be on the advantage of one community against the other, but to all people who have the Cyprus Citizenship. Two different cultures but one culture above all which will dictate that everyone has equal rights regardless their ethnicity, religion etc. This case that the citizenship be above the ethnicity, and above the term 'Greek & Turkish Cypriots' be the term 'Cypriots. Like the USA, which is a mosaic of cultures and above all is the Federal State, no matter who is from where! Taking into account that Nicosia is the only divided capital in the world, makes solution to be, more than ever, obligatory! And Greek with Turkish Cypriots will have equal benefits to each other living in a European free country with no barricades and no division!

Doğru söylüyorsun fakat Kıbrıslı Rumlar 63 olaylarından önce anayasayı değiştirmek isteyip Kıbrıslı Türklerin eşit haklara sahip olmadığını,tüm devlet kademelerinden alınmaları gerektiğini,kısacası ya Türkiye’ye göç etmelerini ya da yok olup gitmeleri gerektiğini düşündüler ve akritas planıyla bunu uygulamaya çalıştılar.Daha öncesinde EOKA nın yaptıklarını zaten biliyorsun.Türkler ne yapmalıydı ? Kendilerini savunmayıp ölümü mü beklemeliydi?Türk ordusu ne yapmalıydı? Öldürülmelerine izin mi verseydi ?

The fact that the majority of the island's population is Greek or that the Greeks came to the island before the Turks does not justify the Greeks trying to commit genocide against the Turks. Currently, the majority of the island consists of Turks.

These is a biased representation of the events. There is half truth, the whole story is not told! Atrocities happened to both sides and both suffered. You should be ashamed! I stopped watching .... I am a refuge of this war and haven't seen my home in 49 years and live in a foreign country. We lost everything including family and friends. Both Turkey and England should leave Cyprus and take their armies with them and let the 2 communities live in peace. I cannot believe the cowardice of the British and the arrogance to still occupy almost 100 square miles of land to selfishly use the island... Give us back our land. GO HOME!!Don't use our island as a military base! A country of 85 million attack a country of barely a million and with the support of the US and Britain..You are not brave just bigger!!
