The Forbidden Love Of Queen Victoria

The Forbidden love of Queen Victoria
In British history, one of the most famous royal couples to note are Victoria and Albert. A love story that transcends time. Victoria adores Albert. He was her lover, her friend and her confidant. But there were other men before him who tried to win the hand of Victoria, one man even came close to taking her as his bride. But who are the other suitors ad romances before she Became a wife?
In 1837, Victoria ascended to the throne. Her reign ended a 120 Hanoverian rule that brought years of dissolute male ordinance. Victoria was 18 years old and she was as a by product young and untainted. She would bring a sense of goodness and wisdom and she was full of beauty and hope for her nation. As such, Victoria would recieve a mass of letters. These were a rain storm of self possessed love for the queen. The suitors would profess their love for her and a steady flow of stalkers and admirers would be known by the press as the queen lovers.

🤔 idk. Those Hanoverian eyes seemed to be pretty dominant. But, I know what what you’re saying. Most of their children were perfectly nice looking. Louisa was VERY pretty. Alfred was handsome. Etc. But it seems very strong, I even see it in Prince George. And I don’t agree with Gwae at all. Some did, some didn’t. Albert WAS very good looking gotta agree with that! Heck yeah.

Thanks for this video! In one of the Queen Victoria documentaries (I think it was the BBC but I'm not certain) the Grand Duke is portrayed as saying he did not want to marry Victoria because she was a "dwarf." Not in front of her, of course.

Never would've thought that Victoria had stalkers like so many of today's celebrities do, lol. 12:30 is that a hint of a smile on Victoria's face? 😲 Perhaps this video can be edited to remove the images of Grand Duke Sandro, who was born in 1866.

Why did the English royal family always seem to marry their cousins from Germany starting from George the 1st and continuing with Elisabeth the II ? Also, didn't one of Victoria's sons marry Alexander's daughter mush later on?

Queen Victoria's second son, Prince Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (as well as Duke of Edinburgh, Earl of Ulster, and Earl of Kent) married *Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia* in 1874 (She was the daughter of Alexander ii of Russia and Marie of Hesse and by Rhine; as well as Alexander iii of Russia's sister)[1] Alfred was a career naval officer in the British Royal Navy. Alfred and Maria had six children. His wife went with him to his overseas postings. When off-duty the family owned and lived in Clarence House, London (Where King Charles lives when in London ... Buckingham Palace is under renovation/utility upgrades) After the death of Alfred's uncle, Ernest ii, in 1893; [Alfred's father (Prince Albert's) older brother] Alfred became the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Alfred resigned from the Royal Navy and the British House of Lords; then moved with his family to Coburg, Germany. The family lived at Schloss Rosenau/Rosenau Palace (near the modern village of Rödental, Bavaria, Germany) Schloos Rosenau was a 13th century castle that got renovated into a country home. The castle and gardens are open to the public (I haven't been there ... Yet, if I ever vacation in Germany again I will check it out). I just absolutely love Bavaria! .... So beautiful! ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 1.) Most, if not all ,of the Russian Tsars, after Peter the Great, were descended from Germans.

I have been a long time follower of yours. I enjoy your topics and videos. Am confused as to why you didn't include actual photos of Alexander II as Victoria's visitor? I believe you included the husband of Xenia, Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich of Russia. I now see someone else has spotted this as well.

Her father, and his brothers were the same They had oodles of illegitimate kids The only reason George iv got married was for the money. After George iv s only (legitimate) child (a daughter) died the brothers rushed to get (legal) wives to produce legitimate children. By then all of them were pretty much over the hill; the only one who had a child was Victoria's father..

On the contrary, they both worked tirelessly to advance science, technology, and political interests of England and were *actively* concerned with the plight of the poor. Victoria's reign saw a golden age of peace and an industrial revolution.
