Great and detailed review as usual guys! Thank you! 🙂 I wonder if you had a chance to see their sport area with the tennis courts? Wonder if they have older and beat up court surfaces or they resurfaced them and they are like brand new? 🙂

Hola Artem! Thank you so much for your support 🙂 the Dreams Onyx doesn’t have a tennis court, but the Breathless is right next to it, they have a tennis court and you can use all amenities inside the breathless if you’re staying at the Dreams Onyx. Unfortunately we didn’t go to the tennis court of the Breathless resort 🙂

It’s all the same complex really… imagine one big hotel split into two parts but there are no divisions. They also have electric cars to move you around if you request it 🙂

Thank you for the detailed video! Are the preferred club bars area conditioned ? Do they have anywhere for late night drinks and dancing ?

The preferred club bar seemed air conditioned since it’s enclosed. There’s no disco at the Dreams Onyx (there are bars open) but you can go next door to the Breathless resort (adults only) for more of a night vibe.

Hey! Do you know if this Resort has a basketball court?

Did they have sushi? Or a seafood restaurant couldn’t find menus on there site

I’m going there in September

We're a family of four with two kids ages 6 & 8. We're deciding between the Lopesan and Dreams Onyx. What do you guys think is the better choice? Are there any other resorts we should consider? We are going in July. Really like all your videos. Very honest and detailed.

Hi, Andy 😃 thanks for watching! Considering the age of your kids, I would suggest the Lopesan over the Dreams Onyx since there are more things to do, and the waterpark at the Lopesan is more age-appropriate since at the Dreams Onyx they'll have slides they won0t be able to use due to their age. From the resorts we've visited, the only other option I would look at with kids is the Royalton Bavaro, but between that one and the Lopesan, we pick the Lopesan. Hola Eddie! The night life in this resort is not very active, they don’t have a club and this hotel seems to be a bit family oriented. However, if you’re staying at the Dreams Onyx you’ll have access to the Breathless resort which is right next to it (within walking distance) and all the amenities, the breathless is a full party resort.

There are a couple of gift shops inside the hotel but the hotel itself is located in UVERO ALTO which is far from any shopping areas (you would need to go by car)

From the airport to the Dreams Onyx around 45 I believe. From the Dreams Onyx to Bavaro around 25. Taxis can be expensive :S If you're planning to get out much I would advise you to rent a car... We don't really know about the prices though but it would definitely be cheaper than a couple of taxis per day!

There is a small shopping village right next to the resort. 4 or five minute walk and the hotel is in sight the whole time

We didn’t ask for it so we’re not sure but we highly doubt it would be included since it’s expensive and easy to drink. The preferred bars might though…

Hola Paola! We didn't pay for it and didn't feel like we need it because the regular experience at this resort is just great =) Hope this helps.
