Please read the manga. The anime did everyone there dirty. The anime also skipped almost every emotional moment which is the reason why tokyo ghoul is a masterpiece. By the way season two isn't cannon to the main storyline and they didn't add the original storyline

How representitive of the manga was season 1, because I can certainly see Tokyo Ghouls quality shine through there?

@@GehenenTheFool I also want to complain about the rushing. 12 episode for 79 chapters is insane

@@GehenenTheFool the first 79 chapters are covering season one. The other 64 chapters are covering season two (even though the anime version doesn't follow the manga). And tokyo ghoul re pushed 179 chapters into 26 episodes

Wow, it really was rushed. If you don't mind my asking, how closely does season 3 follow the manga? I thought it was an absolute disaster.
as you already know read the manga, it's like season 1 but better and continues to get better as it goes on

I thought it might. Thank you for the comment :)
The anime isn't as bad but the story was so rushed and altered that nothing really makes sense anymore, especially on season 2 most of the events happen in the manga but they made it in a way it's so confusing and that makes season 3 even more confusing since season 2 didn't follow the manga and season 3 did, but still season 3 skips a lot of important things. By reading the manga i believe you'll be able to understand tokyo ghoul and love it.
Please try the manga, im not a big anime or manga fan in general but this is a must, Tokyo Ghoul and Re are the only manga i have read and finished, currently giving choujin x (also by Sui Ishida)a shot now as i only found out about this recently. Root A the second season is a anime original and strays from the story in the manga in some complex ways whilst still trying to include some fights and events that do happen in the manga. I caved in and read the manga after the third episode of RE came out because I was beyond confused years ago. Also the re anime is incredibly rushed and the amount of content they rushed, skipped, changed and crammed is ridiculous so it's not fun to follow. The anime is very frustrating and Tokyo Ghoul deserves a better adaptation

I agree with you, Tokyo Ghould did get a rough go of it, especially season 3. I appreciate your comment, I hope you enjoyed the video. I will be sure to check the manga out.
The manga is so much better Crazy Crazy how much they cut or just trash
Tokyo Ghoul Re, in the manga, made me fall in love with the ghoul/human inspectors. Their stories were well thought out, and I could feel their pain and frustrations while reading. In the anime their back stories, and character arcs aren’t even included or so rushed that you don’t care about them. It was a disappointment. Really good video btw!

It really is a shame. It is obvious from the anime that there is something there, buried deep inside Tokyo Ghoul:Re. But, unfortunately, it never gets brought to the surface. I appreciate the comment. I am glad you liked the video :)
The Anime of Tokyo Ghoul Root A and Tokyo Ghoul Re: is were things went downhill for the series as both anime had a massive downgrade in animation in terms of character design and fight choreography, a lot of scenes and moments in Tokyo Ghoul Re: were rushed, Root A was more of an adaptation of the first draft that Ishida pitched for the first Tokyo Ghoul Manga, characters in Root A suffering from bad writing as Kaneki joined Aogiri for no reason while Touka spent most of her time running around the city, and worst of all, both anime were failed adaptations of the manga. Both of them ignored the emotions and themes of both manga series as Peridot thought that Tokyo Ghoul is more of an action series instead of a psychological horror series that’s sometimes depressing. At least Chainsaw Man had more of a faithful anime adaptation of the manga than Tokyo Ghoul. Same goes for Jujutsu Kaisen, Hell’s Paradisw, Spy x Family, Zom 100 Bucket List of the Dead, Demon Slayer, Delicious in Dungeon and Loser Ranger. I hope that probably in the year 2025, 2026, 2027 or 2028, Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul Re have an anime reboot from a much more competent anime studio that fully adapts the manga.

It would be great to see Tokyo Ghoul as it should have been. With that said, can I ask a question. Do you think an anime needs to be faithful to its spurce material in order to succed? I am curious to see whst you think.
havent watched the whole vid yet but, read the manga, its 10x better. I never really liked a lot of things in the anime and most of these problems just never existed in the manga

About your view of kaneki, reading de manga may give you a diferent view of sasaki, since the whole season 2 of the anime does not exist in the manga thus leading to a diferent interpretation of the story, i highly recomend you to try it

I appreciate your comment and no offense taken. That said, I disagree. I was criticising and discussing the anime, not the manga (or the quality of its adaptation). It is a stand alone product and so can be criticiced as a stand alone product (hence why I stirred clear of attributing the anime's flaws to the manga. In anycase, I appreciate your comment, and the good willed expression of your view. I hope you enjoyed the video, even if you may have dissagreed.

Thank you. I am not a huge manga guy myself. If I am honest, I prefer anime. I read alot of books so I like to relax by watching anime. That all said, I have heard only good things about Tokyo Ghouls manga and I really liked the story. As that is the case, I indend to check it out.

You need not worry about your english, I understand what you are saying. It is interesting to see someone dissagree, regarding the quality of the manga. So far people have been in unanimous agreement that it is better than the anime. I suppose I will just have to look and see for myself. Thank you for your comment, it is greatly appreciated.

If u read the manga how can u say this, the manga is 10x better hell it’s infinitely better. The themes, characters, tone, world, art I can go on the anime was rushed, poorly done and altered to mke zero sense they made it into more of a battle shounen with slight horror elements instead of a psychological horror, and supernatural thriller. Mybe u should watch the show an read the manga again 2 see how poorly adapted it was.
