Syke Faya so cute when she hops like she's spring-loaded!

The fastest horse we ever raised moved like Sike Faya! He was also a bit "over at the knees" when he was young. One day I asked my grandfather why he was like that, and he said, "Because he is going to be FAST!" IDK if that is a real thing or only folk wisdom, but he WAS fast. He was colored more like Rising Star, with a blaze face and high stockings, except he was dark, bright, copper red. When he was little he ran everywhere with his head up and his legs far out in front of him, just like SF. Silke Faya may want to run with the Thoroughbreds when she is grown! ;-)

The foal has a beautiful head carriage, (that sweet mane is very endearing too!) She is a real character.

Sylke Faya is indeed a beautiful foal. Pjirkje has such a strong elegant trot. The new owners in Denmark should be thrilled with this pair. I love watching the foals with their mothers. 💜🥰🐴🥰💜

It's fortunate that Sylka Faya has "good brakes", as fast as she loves to run! We in the States would call her a "speed demon"! She is precious.

Oh my baby girl Sylke Faya is VERY bright eyed and bushy tailed so curious with an independent spirit that brought joy to Goengamieden,I miss this special little Miesekind(girl child)Now her new owners are no doubt having plenty of smiles and laughs from our little Fairy they got 2 very beautiful gems indeed.❤️❤️🧚‍♀️🌈🌈

Good lord, that's some drastic weather change! Nice to see the little race monster can have some quieter moments 😊 Love the way she almost attaches herself to Pjirkje's side as they trot together 🤗 Watching Friesians, adults and babies, trot in that beautiful floating way is pure poetry in motion, could watch them all day ❤️

SO love the way your beautiful Friesians greet each other, enthusiastically...even after a short absence! Such community in a herd....

April showers bring May flowers, as we say in the US. Sylke Faya's head carriage is so special. I wish we could watch her go through the Star ratings in her future! So Beautiful!!

Just as we get to know Sylke "race monster" Faya...she is off to her new home in Denmark. Yes, Sylke is a very fine filly.💙 I could watch the foals run and play all day...and sometimes do with over 800+ videos in your library. 👍

@@LindaEll89 I’m in Ohio in Columbus the capital. The last snow we see is most often the first or second week in April. It was up to almost 90 for a week but now down to 80. We never see snow in May You must really be DONE with winter when it lasts that long lol. Such a beautiful place you have there!

Sylke got herself all sweated up :)) and then it's time to eat and sleep. She is precious. I'm so sad to see them go but like you said it is what you do. I would have kept those two though. Yep. Keepers. Oh well, may they have a great life!

You bring up excellent point. Yvonne has stated they do not "food treat" with the horses very often. Mostly after work, under saddle or in front of the cart. rewarding the work. Aside from the small group of mares they will keep for breeding, the rest will end up in new homes with new owners. They will not be obnoxious to beg for food. Of course, the new owner may pamper and customize treat and training rewards to their own personal liking. 👍

@@pakejeffje6238 I agree. I never trained my dogs OR loved them with food. Training with food makes them obnoxious (like you say) and loving them with food only makes them fat! 😁

This is refreshing after seeing videos about foal "imprinting." They literally swat broodmares away from their newborns, so they bond first with humans petting them and toweling them dry. They give them apple juice--which we know now is nothing but sugar water, nutritionally. After only days of this, the foals won't follow or obey their mothers, and the mothers often give up caring for the foals---and get the blame! Teaching them to accept a halter and tie-up is one thing. Teaching them to follow humans, not their mothers, is quite another!

Yes! Yvonne is an amazing, smart Trainer and caregiver to Horses. So kind and respectful and just firm enough to GOD'S amazing creatures called Horses! ( She also has a great Boss and co-workers!)( Great environment too!)

Fresians are beautiful horses and watching their gaits are like seeing them almost float. Sylke Faya and her mamma are my 2 favourites. It will be sad not to see Sylke grow up, but her owners are getting a superb filly and who knows if they will do some kind of competing with her. She has some speed in her!

Sylke Faya has a lot of personality, you can really see it. Everything is a cute little game for her like a small child. I loved watching her run all over the pasture like she was being chased or something. I noticed every time Pjirke would begin to graze, Sylke Faya would step in front of her like a child saying “mom” over and over. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😍😍

To whomever has purchased Sylke Faya & Pjirkje; I hope you see the inherent fire of this little filly and work with her, rather than fight her to form a bond of trust and a relationship; not break her as so many in the horse industry still feel is necessary to "make a horse" rideable. She has something special in her and will be a spectacular mare if the right person takes the time to bring her along the right way. The wrong way could lead to battles no one will win.

Sylke Faya is such a little fireball. Her new owners must be over the moon! What a beauty.

Yes , I will also miss Pjirkye, Sjirkje , and their foals. 🙋‍♀️🐴🐴🐴🐴😢 . I hope their new owners treat them as good as you guys do. I’ll pray for them. 🙏🙌.

At the end of the video, Pjirkje has a heart on her right hip! It’s like she’s saying, “Goodbye everyone; love you”. So sweet! We will miss you and Sylke Faya as you go to your new home in Denmark.

It's always a joy to see the babies dancing tip-toe on their tiny hoves! Watching Silka-Faya run is like watching her glide on air! Yes, she IS a beautiful little filly and I'm sure her new owners were very pleased! I wish you could keep them all!!!

April in New England is the same. We say: “If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes” (because it changes so fast). We had snowfalls through late April this year.

We had snow in may in ny this year...lol our weather is crazy these past ten yrs one week it's in the high 88 Fahrenheit (32c)then next week it dip as low as the 50s(10c) so every one needs to know why we have big closets in america it's due to really extremes in weather we need many different types clothes you never know what to wear for your feet to pajamas in any given week...but I agree with Yvonne the other day when she commented on the heat I dont care for the heat I like the cooler weather of ny,....like snow..lol..blessed day everyone....🐎🤓👋

Wow! What a beautiful baby horse! The way it walks, trots and runs! Such majesty! The way it's body fits together and it's beautiful thick fur! I couldn't take my eyes off of it! To an amateur eye that is one very special baby horse!

April showers... we had some here in Norway too. Thank you Yvonne, after getting a suggestion from YT I started watching this channel and I am hooked, so nice to see the beautiful horses and I feel I have learned so much, not in a way I think I can, but how to behave and what to look for in body language. I was so unsure (not scared) around horses but watching your videos I decided to ask my landlord if I could learn to ride on her Icelandic horses, so I will start next week with the old mare, she is safe for kids (I am 51, but starting with her will be a safe start) Thank you again.

@@chrishart4707 Hi Chris. Riding went down the drain, everything was muddy and then the horses was moved and then the she was taken "of duty" as she was having a baby. She had a filly, a copy of herself.

I think you have the best stable that I have ever seen.,,and I have seen some very beautiful stables. But yours stands out for me mainly because the stalls all have bars instead of walls so that they can all see each other and feel like a family. Horses get lonely too! I think it is much healthier for them physically and mentally. It's such a well-run and organized establishment. Great job!

I told my mother about this channel yesterday. It turns out she's already watching it. Silly me, thinking she didn't already know it when she grew up on a hobby farm run by her immigrant parents and her name ends with a "-ke".😄

Horses are awake 22 hours a day, only sleeping a bit at a time. So I'd prefer to see them all in a herd together for the mental stimulation and establish pecking order, than locked in stalls. . It's very unnatural. Cows are herd animals too but we don't keep them locked in individual stalls.

Was that hail! Sylke Faya learned an early weather lession. She was so beautiful as a foal! I loved her little sparse mane. It would be so nice to see her again! I wonder if she's still a pistol!

Yep, Friesians are BIG horses. They used to carry knights in full armor in the middle ages, they worked on the fields in later times. They were bred to be strong and big. They are light draft horses.

I can't get over how big Rising Star has gotten. He's several hands taller. He has filled out as well; put on muscle. It's such a joy and a blessing to watch him grow to adult.

He was only around 6 months then....

S Faya has a really nice posture in her head and neck, I think. Will be interesting to see if she always has her head held high, and observing things as she grows a bit more.

Yvonne pls can you talk about their different personalities mum's & foals like when the foals are left in the stable while their mums are being ridden thank you xx you are so lucky
