As a kid growing up in the 70s and 80s watching 'the boys' re-runs on BBC2 and BBC1 in school holidays with my brothers was magical...... I'm now 55 and still watch them Genius gets used a lot when it comes to these 2....and quite rightly so.....
After all these years why are these two wonderful comedians still so funny and appealing? They never fail to make me laugh. Must be some kind of genius I suppose, that still glows down the decades, through the magic of cinema.

Funny to us but common to the period, while the interior is a crude mock-up, the 1928 Travel Air 6000 that is the stunt plane here had dual auto-style wheels, though connected to a common yoke, as the cockpit was tiny. The more familiar aircraft style wheels appeared in the 1930s but some manufacturers stuck with the round ones for a while in setups like the one in this movie!

Laurel and hardy ! How many years have gone watching their movies in full screen. You go like a children laughing and laughing forgetting the age and situation. Now in my 80 s still watching thie film with same sprit and laughing heartily. Especially Laurael is looks so pathetic in face and look and hardy with his facial moment brings stories..A special pat to him for the way he waves his tie in joy and anger. The two inseparable died in frequent intervals. Passing of time cannot wane their fame. Still ever green in our memories. With love failure he takes his photo flower bokey walks to his room , what a scene. Whatever silky mistake Laurel do Hardy forgives him just like that ..

The white hairnet the girl has on was all the rage. My Mom got one It cost ten cents. We were traveling somewhere. I was playing with Mom's hair net, letting it fly in the breeze from the car window. Of course it slipped out of my hand. I memorized what the fence along the road looked like. So if we ever came this way again, we could stop and get Mom's hairnet. I can describe this fence today, 80 years later.
