The first album I listened to by Scarface was The Last of a Dying Breed. I had never heard an album like that before. The production, structure, and ambience is amazing! Incredible bass lines, drums, guitars, and lyrics that are over the top. I also thought Scarface lyrics really brought the best out of the features on there. It also has a compelling mafia theme that adds a unique and captivating narrative, grittier than the mafia themes coming out of the East Coast at the time. I purposely lay off the album from time to time so it remains refreshing each time I listen to it. His whole discography is amazing, but I never got a chance to listen to Deeply Rooted the last one he released.

When the album The Fix came out, I was in Stateville penitentiary sitting on the dock in the chow hall and looking at the housing unit and F,I,and the X- house was next to each other spelling Fix me and the other inmates started tripping like man this shit a set up.
