The Fizz at The O2 Indigo (formerly Bucks Fizz)
Музыка
What an amazing night at The O2 Indigo to watch a special show to mark the 40th anniversary of The Fizz, formerly Bucks Fizz (delayed for two years owing to Covid). Here are some clips from a magical night, including Making Your Mind Up, Land of Make Believe, My Camera Never Lies, Piece of the Action, Now Those Days Are Gone, If You Can't Stand The Heat, Amen, Eternity and many more.

Was a fantastic show! I dont suppose you recorded the bit before Run For Your Life where Cherylmentioned me and spoke about the half marathon?! Really took me by surprise and would love to hear properly what she said!

Our pleasure! Glad you liked it! ❤
In this post-autonomy era, there have really only been three groups who have drawn their strength from the team approach and sustained their momentum with an extraordinarily high level of quality over a long period of time: the Dutch supergroup Luv', Japan's thinking outside of the box Perfume and of course the utterly stupendous (Bucks) Fizz. It has been a most disconcerting development on this end having not yet had the pleasure of seeing the Fizz in action (and geography has almost everything to do with that). But this was literally the next best thing to being there. Truncated renditions or not, there was enough evidence herein to reiterate what an extraordinary legacy they have amassed. Cheryl, Mike and Jay, job over the top well done! And thank you for sharing this. Keep up the great, great work!!

@@Choose80s Well I of course think ALL the songs are great, but I must say I also specially love Land of Make Believe! I was working at the B.B.C. a long time ago, and they have a small concert venue in nearby Lower Regent Street, called the Paris Theatre. I was able to get tickets to some of the concerts there, and the following week they were broadcast on the radio! I saw Bucks Fizz there! I saw the lovely Jay Aston , and still haven't recovered!

@@Choose80s thank you so much for appreciating my tale about being able to see The Fizz in an intimate small theatre at the B.B.C.! At the tome I did like it, but they were "just" everybody's band that had sung MAKING YOUR MIND UP. But they sustained those remarkable songs every time since and have become firm favourites for me personally - so I feel privileged that I just SO casually got tickets like that to see them live!

@@nygelmiller5293 amazing 👍 So pleased for you 😊
Your Indigo gag at the start is sooooooo bad 🤦♂️ 🤣. Obviously they’ve had to revise the routines somewhat, but the girls look a bit daft clapping with mid air during Piece of the action. Nice to have the promo vids screening behind them. Who’s saying oh shush 😂 Mike’s “joke” 🙄 😂 Bet they have to be careful with the brollies if there’s limited space on stage. Did they only do Treasure forever from the new album then? I wonder if those who only know Cheryl from her TVs are aware of what an ‘80s pop goddess she is! Land of make believe has a special charm all of its own, I saw them on the Splash Tour in Hanley in 2009 and Mike held out the mic to me in the front row to sing a chorus, so that was kinda special 😮 Don’t mind the ‘80s medley but more of thei own tracks would be nice. What happened during the see some more line, looks like Mike did his trousers off gag and someone went to take a pic then he went nahahahaha instead of singing it! Nice overview and montage, thank you. Still chuckling at Cheryl branding Davey Jones an a-hole on your interview vid 😂

@@Choose80s Funny that this was mentioned. This was the closest I have ever come to decking someone at a concert. Love the group. Seen them many times. I always try my best to respect other people's "space" if in a standing section, but when people turn up late and just push into a tiny gap in front of you, then call to their friends to come and join them (including someone taller than you who then stands directly in front of you at one point) and includes someone who likes to laugh by throwing back their head and frequently almost smacking you in the face, then the options are, put up with it (which I did for half the show) go nuts (came close) or storm off to the bar at the back and watch the rest from there in a bad mood, which is what I eventually did to keep the peace! And I think I spotted some of them because we must have been VERY close to each other at some point, so thank you for showing me what I was SUPPOSED to be able to see if it weren't for these selfish people who show no respect to others trying to enjoy themselves
