Loved this album since I was 19, am 57 now. Played it on cassette from vinyl in a Sentra going uphill to Tahoe going skiing and coming downhill on an Aiwa walkman. Good times! Skiing was affordable and not crowded in those times. I made 6 bucks an hour which was ok since min wage was 3.35! Glad you discovered this LP.

Bought this album on vinyl (highly used) and still love it. Shuttered Room doesn't have a bad song on it, and I was glad to have discovered "Cameras In Paris." This should have been a Top 10 single. Great stuff.

I remember when this album was released back in 1982. I was in my sophomore year in college and it completely blew me away! What really made it special was the fact that no band had made such an album back then and its tracks were an awesome and welcome relief to the music that was being played on the radio at the time. Now, 40 years later, I can truly appreciate it and enjoy it much more than ever before.

If this killer tune doesn't make you want to get up & dance (or at least tap your feet), then there's something inherently wrong with you, or you just simply don't dig '80s music.

The instrumentals on this song remind me of those of the Stranglers, especially from songs on the Feline (1982) and Aurul Sculpture (1984) albums. Likewise, as others have mentioned, the instrumentals and vocals on 'Some People' (same album) can easily be mistaken for those of the Talking Heads, especially from the 'Fear of Music' (1979) and 'Remain in Light' (1980) albums.
