Aloha can be used in a few different ways. It can be used as a greeting, as a farewell, as a conveyance of love, or to give someone a form of respect. Overall, Aloha is a lifestyle that most native Hawaiians, non Hawaiians born and raised in Hawai'i, or those who have chosen to move to Hawai'i and respect and embrace its culture, live. There is a well know phrase in Hawai'i...LIVE ALOHA! As a native Hawaiian, I am telling you that you DO NOT need any permission to use the word Aloha...USE IT, MEAN IT, LIVE IT! Aloha!

Growing up in Hawaii, saying Aloha to someone was never considered Culturally Insensitive. It was an expression of caring about someone when they came home or were leaving to go somewhere. When liberals say they're offended, the biggest mistake people make is to start off by saying, "im sorry you're offended but..." Never apologize. Just say, "Be offended." If you want to stop this woke cancel culture madness, we need to stop playing by their terms.

You can come here to Hawaii and say Aloha if you want. If you have questions about Aloha just ask. Aloha is used for Love, “ You are filled with the Aloha spirit “ you can use it for farewell or goodby. If it is heartfelt then use it. It’s not really used casually as a replacement for hello. I rarely use it in text or writing unless I am communicating with someone special to me. You can be Hawaiian at heart here in Hawaii. Some people need to stop speaking for trying to control everyone else because that’s what it is really about, not inclusion but the opposite.

The word aloha is a Hawaiian polynesian word. In New Zealand the resident polynesians, the New Zealand Maori people have a similar word with similar meaning, aroha. Bearing in mind the Asian origins of the Polynesian people we should not be too surprised about the transposition L and R, indeed a regional variation in NZ gives us the place name Little Akaloa, at Akaroa on the Banks Peninsular even though there is no letter L in the standardised transcribed Maori language. Likewise we have Otago even though the language has no g. Far from forbidding non-Maori to use the language it is being fostered upon us, without benefit of consultation or legislation and used by our socialist government to provide an alternative name for the country, Aotearoa, a fictional historic Maori name for the land, where no singular name existed for the individually named group of islands. The implication here is that the government is using a fictional name to reinforce the fiction that a nation existed before the arrival of European settlers.

Hawaiians were conquered by MILITARY DICTATOR Kamehameha in 1782-1810. As a dictator, his was an ABSOLUTE monarchy. His son Kamehameha II destroyed the Hawaiian religion, gods, temples, and tabu system, in 1819-1820, but died on a trip to England. Kamehameha III, due to the influence of Christian American advisers, transitioned to a CONSTITUTIONAL monarchy in 1840. It was overthrown by HAWAII CITIZENS, not "foreigners", in 1893.

See, context is everything, just like the "n word". It's ok if you call another Hawaiian Haole, meaning "not from the islands", but if you refer to a "white person" as Haole (which is how it's used 99% of the time) it is racist. Context people.
