Poor sound quality, but excellent explanation. Thanks!

This is a good initiative. The explanations are accurate. However, as this is a video explaining speech sounds, your recording should be of such high quality that the sounds are actually clear and distinguishable.

I can make the alveolar click without having to do the little suck on the top of the roof of the mouth. Thus, only the sound of my tongue slapping the bottom. Does it have a name too?

all sounds are in the IPA, if a sound isn't in IPA than it doesn't have a letter to be represented with

@CoreyL11 Really? You're this upset because he complained about the sound quality? I'd hate to see you upset about something actually important. He shouldn't have complained, or used "ahole" but still.. calm down. :) It'll do you good.

Eish! Your clicking seemed to be coming out wrong, but maybe i am judging too harshly i speak a click language but not one of those. Its just that you seemed to go (click)...(rest of word) instead of saying the whole thing as one word. If i say cat i dont go: C-at, i say cat

Kai McKenzie Most foreign speakers don't know how to do it except when it's by a vowel or n/ng/m sound for some reason. Yes, I am one of those speakers. So how do you do it then? I want to learn.

  • @kkerakkii1147

@@EpicBzzBoy3 it was same for me, i used to put nasal sound before click, i always pronounced n/ng before click, and in order not to do that i started pronouncing the click then i made a pause and then i said rest of the word. it is important to know that a click is just a part of a consonant, and what we call plain aka tenius click is actually prestopped, so when you think of postalveolar click don't think of !, but k! - aka try to pronounce a stop before a click to not allow the nasal sound to come out.

Such as the alveolar click mentioned here is not a pure alveolar click it has a lower alveolar percussive release as well(It might also be post alveolar not alveolar as it is more common that an alveolar click is actually post alveolar)

Interesting topic, but using a toaster to record extremely poor quality sound for what should be an audibly rich video makes the whole thing totally pointless, almost funny like a Monty python skit lol!
