I love the thought of other life out there. I would meet & give a chance for friendship. As long as they would give me my life back I would lay down & let them look at me the way they do pple. I would even give them some of my reproductive matter, see if they're the type that would want to possibly make a cross. I would not instantly believe its going to turn bad like Hollywood would have you believe it, I would wait & give it a chance.

Is that the case that happened at the Amazon estuary? If so people were supposedly attacked by objects in the sky that zapped them with bright lights which left burn marks. A female doctor treated the villagers but didn't believe the stories of lights coming through walls and ceilings, but she ended up being attacked in exactly the same way after leaving her surgery one day. The Brazilian army then came and investigated, but the interesting thing is that all the paperwork the army created while investigating was then purchased by none other than Bob Bigelow (through NIDS I think). I'm sure it was called operation plate.

1929 Byrd exploration of Antarctica (I think? My English professor had me do a book report on it) ... He had UFOs encounter. They buzzed his boats. He was recommended not to mention in his book, but he did anyway in the first chapter, I think. More recently I saw a TV program in which post- WW2 pilots took a shortcut route in Antarctica ( not supposed to do ) and saw UFOs using an entrance into the continent.

July 22, 1808 a Camden, Maine teacher named Cynthia Everett wrote in her diary: "About 10 o’clock I saw a very strange appearance. It was a light, which proceeded from the East. At the first sight, I thought it was a métier [meteor], but from its motion I soon perceived it was not. It seemed to dart at first as quickly as light; and appeared to be in the Atmosphere, but lowered toward the ground and kept on at an equal distance sometimes ascending and sometimes descending.” And there were sightings long before this Camden one, too, in America.

I sware a couple of years ago I got on to a list of UFO reports that were legit reports on a Australian database.One of the reports was from 1901 where a farmer in New South Wales Australia reported that a couple of hundred metres from his farm house was a object that looked like two plates placed face to face together and metallic looking it landed and little beings came out moved around went back into the object and then the object flew away. I must take the time to refind this report.

Good book to check out, "Wonders In The Sky". A chronology of UFOs before maned flight. I Want To Believe(X-Files die-hard fan), buuut then there's what I've found, that itches my brain too much to ignore... I *KNOW* WHAT AIRCRAFT Kenneth SAW THAT DAY! Believe me or not... But, I feel I am the ONLY person who's connected these super unnoticed historical "dots"? ... I've never heard it talked about, so bare with me, for this book-long comment, its WORTH it: Germany surrendered on May 7, 1945 (Kennith's sighting was June 24, 1947). America seized (two?) aircraft; the Horton Ho-229, and its variant(?). One said to be a bomber and the other, smaller in size, to be its protective support fighter (not 100% sure about the second plane, to be honest)... aaand I'd give the 229 a Google Image search before you read any more... theeen go ahead and look at Kennith's "saucer" drawing again. ...then once seized, were brought back to America for backward engineering... being as they were *nearly* combat ready JET AIRCRAFT... in WW2!!! Witch is suuuper important, because no one would have ever seen maneuvers only jets like that could perform, back then, before jet aircraft were militarized, popularized, commercialized or let alone, even 'a thing' yet. Concept jets had existed at the time, but not in FULL use by any public or army, bla bla blah... Also important, with no vertical, or additional horizontal tail stabilizers, these planes would have greatly reduced maneuverability, even if they were jet powered. Leaving them limited ways of "stearing" the planes. Giving them basically two options, banking left and right aaand up and down. And combos of the two moves. My theory: Kenneth saw a squadron of American built, backward engineered, Nazi Ho 229 aircraft going for a test flight, training mission. And the reason he said it looked like "saucers skipping off water" is because that would be the pilots pushing, and finding the jet powered limits of going up or down(one of technically two moves). And it probably did look, really similar to a rock skipping on water... If I saw a rock on a shore, that looked like a flat crescent moon, I'd whip it and skip it.

There exists a now-famous 8mm or 16mm color motion picture film-made in 1947 or 1948 by a private small plane pilot who, at the time he was making this home-movie, was flying over the Cascade Mountains in Washington state. He noticed a group of shiny, silver-colored spheres that were flying directly in front of him, in close formation. His home-movie shows all of this in very close detail. The film was seen by millions of Americans during the 1970s and 1980s, as there were several documentary TV programs at that time who broadcast this footage as part of their investigative reports on the history of UFO sightings. However, by the year 2000 and beyond, the film had been deleted, inexplicably, from the the U.S. "mediasphere", and no one now talks about the film or even acknowledges that the film-or its creator-ever existed. Spooky. P.S.-Do any of you remember (as I do) ever having seen this film ? 😐

And it seems like ever since those two great ufo pics were taken, we never did get a clear shot of one again. It's just strange. I am seeing and reading about ufo since child hood, and I live in India, and since india is poor country, ufo dont bother india, that much, but apart from that, I read all the incidents the world over, from famous reporters to scientists , to bob lazar ,to governments offical secret programs[ project blue book or something] to unoffical [the real ones] ones, public mass sitings over washinton dc and phoenix, us navy pilots on Nimitz over san deigo, to jeremy corbell who talks too much, to thousands of people who claim to see , meet and have dinner with them, but not one has a real , and I mean a real photo in simple color or black and white, in borad day light. I mean if you understand theory of probability, how is it possible that after like 70 years, we have only two real photos. this subject is incredibly incredible. there must be sooo much brewing under the surface in black us agencies. I think you're a bit crazy :) aliens may be real but we know NOTHING beyond the fact that we see unexplained things sometimes. I'll admit its obvious the government knows more but I see so many people like you making actually insane guesses based on nothing. If you're going to comment on a subject as hotly debated as this you should have actual facts to present and not wild hypotheses.

This isn't the first UFO sighting in America - REPORTED - by a long shot. The first reported UFO sighting was in Aurora, Texas, on April 17, 1897. This story also included a close encounter of the third kind.

I think they meant first modern well documented UFO. Modern as in after the second world war.

To describe a craft traveling at the speed of 1657 Mph which is faster than a bullet, that's mind blowing.

Oddly the shapes look like some of our most modern military jets!

You should do an antiquity UFO sighting episode of the continent. There are registered sightings since Egyptian times. There are weird paintings and stories from Amerindian cultures accross the continent that go back thousands of years before Kenneth Arnold.

The first ufo sitings are documented in the 1700s and 1800s

We've seen the same shape in the middle of the night coming from newport highway to Corvallis Oregon in around about 2002. What we see here is the black knight. In 2002 about, the craft we saw hovered over off to the left above the trees of Siuslaw Forest, between Tidewater and Alsea heading east on 34 - right where you'd at the time come around a bend and see a clearing overhead. It just hovered there not making any sounds. We stopped right in the middle of the road where we were and just watched it, till it lit even brighter then took off and vanished within seconds after takeoff. A "Twinkling of the eye" event.

Yep, there were reports of cigar-shaped crafts or blimps witnessed before 1900. One prominent example was the UFO that apparently crashed in Aurora, Texas in 1897. Whether this was real or a hoax is debatable - just like any other reports of UFOs, even Roswell.

And so it began..... I've always thought about how coincidentally these crafts show up in greater numbers, right after our Planet started setting off nuclear explosions.

The first pilot said he saw seven, the next guy said he saw five. Two missing. The day before the second sighting, one of those split from the group and crashed at Roswell, leaving one unaccounted for.

At that time the Vought V-173 XF5U and Northrop YB-35 and YB-49 were already a thing, and obviously all the Horton flying wings from WWII. But none of them were that fast, the fastest probably the Ho 229 with about 520 kn, which is still really fast for the time.

At this time Jack Northrop was developing the "flying wing", but the way Kenneth Arnold described the UFOs speed & manoeuvrability, there's no way it was a man made aircraft from the 40s. They could not of handled like today's technologically advanced aircraft.

There was a photo of a UFO taken near the Peak of Mt. Washington in NH in the 1890s, so I would call any of these the "First One".

Not the first sighting, not even the first sighting that year.

At 47 years old dad passed. And he was born in 1952. It never ends.

I've always wondered in this ufo story, why the drawing that he's holding around the 3:50 mark looks NOTHING like his own pencil drawing. And then the narrator says that what he saw was more "delta shaped" yet his drawing is hardly delta shaped.

Good point ! Arnold's sketch is "D" shaped, but the "photo" (or whatever it's supposed to be) at 3:50 is actually a "double" crescent.

My father flew A-4 Skyhawks in The United States of America Navy, while stationed at NWS Floyd Bennett Field there was an incident out at sea, east of Atlantic City, New Jersey. He briefly spoke of it at first. Then never again. This was a formation flight to returning from Pine Castle (target on Florida coast). He said that the interceptors could out maneuver a Skyhawk the way as cat could out maneuver a kitten.

There is only one way to deal with something like this ,,, you make a deal with the enemy when you know you can't win,,, that's what we have done all through history

Ken's sighting happened the same year the saucer crashed in Roswell. I wonder if those had any connections

I'd argue the only expert we actually have, who HAS allegedly been inside one and also worked on trying to reverse-engineer its power supply, would still be laughed at by his countrymen and discredited even though everything we know now has basically just verified what he himself has been saying since the 80's. Well on the checks it reads “Office Supplies”. But the money is really going toward research on alien hardware. : ) That is why the military spends $100,000 on screwdrivers. About 20% actually does go toward new screwdriver purchases, while the rest goes toward studying alien technology.

The object in Rhodes' photos looks very similar to photos and descriptions of the TR3B.

I've seen 2 ET craft. One over a substation drawing power into itself--1986. 2002 - Dugway UT. One approached my motor pool as 7 of us army soldiers watched as it came 200 m away, sped off silently at about a mile per second. These babies watch us constantly I now know. Been here centuries too

It's most likely the objects wanted to be seen regarding bright lights.

Kennels Arnold’s sighting Could be connected to the Roswell crash

Before they were called "UFOs" they were known as "flying saucers." The term "flying saucer" comes from a business man named Kenneth Arnold who was piloting his small private airplane. Arnold said to reporters he saw objects in the sky that "flew erratic, like a saucer if you skip it across the water". He never said what he saw resembled an actual saucer. In fact, Arnold said the objects were shaped like birds, with wings and all. To further cast doubt on his story, Arnold did several interviews in 1978 with a reporter named Bob Pratt. In these interviews Arnold talks about "mystery submarines," and he says that his phone line has been tapped, that UFOs may be alive, and they seem to be able to read his mind, and he's spotted UFOs "seven or eight times."

Kenneth Arnold gave several conflicting descriptions of them over the years. Another thing is he claimed that they were a little smaller than a DC4 aircraft, but that he saw them when they were 15 to 25 miles away.

But they coincided with least trustworthy print media and burgeoning sci fi popular culture. Arnold's sighting looked more like conventional black project craft similar to some German WWII designs, rather than flying saucer shape

There are a lot of things that the military brass know and are aware of that they cannot tell the Public. My father was in the military and had knowledge of some of this information, but he would not share much with me. However, he did let me know that SOME (not all) of these UFO reports are of very real phenomenon. And, our Government's Leaders are aware of these types of crafts, but they are not letting the Public know because it would cause mass hysteria. Dad said that we are being visited by things that are not man-made; some even with biologicals on board.

You can find out many more than your father tells you. Today there is a lot of open study and amount of evidence you can read or watch about. Also there are too many military and governments guys who has step forward to tell the truth. One of them is Robert Dean who says we are visited by ETs from another dimensions too.

All of those you mentioned are credible but the latest ones that the pentagon admitted are real with the navy pilot Fravors is to me the best one. The tictac object drops 80,000 feet to one foot over the ocean in less than a second. It's on radar doing this and apart from Fravor there were three additional navy witnesses. It's cought on video, not the best quality but Lue Elizondo said that they do got better pictures that the government hasn't released yet. Hoping the truth comes out in my lifetime. To be honest the fact that the pentagon didn't dismiss this as a balloon or swamp gas is a good step forward

Before Kenneth Arnold there had never ever been a flying saucer report. They were all cigar shaped. Yet KA reported seeing crescent shaped objects (not saucers) that moved up and down like saucers skipping on water. After this people started reporting seeing flying saucers. Surely this has to tell you something? Why did they not see and report crescent shaped objects? The answer is they didn't see anything its all a con. Or the little green men thought saucers were a good idea and quickly redesigned their craft. More recently its triangles. Yawn....

So this is what Hans Kammler took out of Germany on that big Junkers plane he had access to. He flew it to America in exchange for asylum, just like Marko Ramius did 40 years later. And then the US got it to worked and took it for a spin then it got of course and crashed in Roswell.
