Sangeeth The British hand-picked some (freedom fighters) for this type pf torture, depending upon their spirit of rebellion, to break their spirit. In that the tribals scored the highest & faced extreme torture. This one (Komuram Bhimudu)& Alluri Seetharama Raju (he led the tribals, though he wasn't one) who couldn't survive the torture & died, are two shining examples. Mostly we get to hear stories about our city-bred Indians, not from tribals of remote areas. We Indians need to know more about our own tribals. Komuram Bhim belonged to "Gond" tribe that inhabit "Gondwana" region (Gondu wana = forest of Gonds) that gave its name to a super-continent Gondwana`land, from which Indian subcontinent (mostly Deccan=Dakshin), separated to join the Eurasian landmass.
