The narrative of the anime is explained through Bam's eyes. We only learn as much about the tower as he does. That said the world has a lot of depth to it and everything worth knowing will be explained in this first arc or so.

@@miguelbarrios6732 I did not expect them to just explain literally everything about the world, but they left me with so much questions that I see it now as flaw. They said something about tower which I agree they said as much as they should, but later they introduced that princess (I don't have memory to remember names) of unknown country with her servant, magical sword, that talking cube which was able to translate their different language and said something about world being dark place. Not to mention that pace of this episode was faster than Barry Allen and other small things were left unanswered like fact that there are multiple races or guy who looks like scientist who from my observations is supervising their "hunter games". Just too much questions for first episode. They probably should have made second test in second episode, but I can't say it for sure as my knowladge about this show solely comes from this episode. I need to watch more this show to see if I am right.

As a webtoon reader, I really liked this first episode. Any anime only's: if you're worried about the lack of exposition, dont worry. Everything will be explained in the next 2 episodes or so. It only gets better from here. Starts off weak, but gets amazing real quick.

Yeah that was my biggest gripe with the episode. Was hard to get into when it’s like what’s life like outside of the tower, who tf was Rachel, why didn’t Rachel and the main character enter the tower together? Like idk it seems cool so I’ll keep watching but it kinda bothered me 😅

Test 2 is literally what got me hype.. Didn't think we would get that, thought the anime might censor it...Anyway the most epic scene was when the bow guy got shot by the sniper dude.. damn...that scene was so damn epic..

Having read all of both, overall i think TOG is better. God of Highschool kinda fell of the track for me as it progressed. My least favorite arc was when they were trying to get Mori's memories. I dont know chinese mythology and it was just so hard not to lose interest

@@RandomPerson-ok9mt it's true it starts off really confusing and I wasn't really invested in it but when you keep reading it starts feeling like the old days because the creator starts taking plot points from the beginning and finishing them off or expanding which I really loved which is why the time skip is close to being my favorite arc

OST IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL. Music is insane from the 1st episode and I can’t wait to hear the other tracks how it’s implemented in the show. I’m a music kind of guy, having good ost isn’t really essential in anime sometimes while I view it but sometimes, you need a good ost every now and then. Some of the most memorable Anime’s people really remember are also the ones with not only good animation and overall story, but a good ost as well. Hyped to hear more

They actually remixed the blood rave song from Blade at 1:34 (search New Order - confusion for reference). I was surprised to hear this! I guess someone at crunchyroll loves New Order.

If they were allowed to slow it a little bit, they would. Unfortunately, they can only make 13 episodes, and if they paced it any slower, they wouldn’t be able to reach the end of Part 1 of the Manhwa

Only reason the dwarf knows the answer is because he is a Guide (dwarven race). Guides are people who can see the path that will lead to their destined direction and can also navigate through floors without needed to pass the tests.

Headon is the voice actor for Jiraiya

If this does well I hope they do "The Gamer" next because at least until I stopped reading it a few years ago, it was pretty good.

Having an anime is great but there gonna need a lot of seasons cuz the story is pretty slow and I don't know how I feel about the animation either. But it's still nice to see an anime of one of my favorite webtoons to be out.

The author just managed to create such unique and amazing characters to follow, even side charters have amazing value to them and the story woven is incredibly thought out. And the boy you see here has incredible development as he journeys the tower looking for Rachel. Not to mention the action. Basically it’s extremely well rounded and if the anime follows through I believe it will stand up there with animes like Fullmetal alchemist

After watching the 1st episode i went ahead and read some of the season 1 (like first 60). And this is spoilers: Rachael is way too obsessed with stars that she left someone who only had her. I might not know the full context yet but that seems quite selfish. I really liked Endorsi’s character tho

For new comers to the series you will have Rachel so much in the future
