To be honest, the Space Race ended in peace as the Apollo-Soyuz Mission occurred and ended the Space Race.

Thank you for this video! Yuri has been my hero since I was 5, im roughly his same height(a cm or 2 taller) and if i ever feel down, held back about it or if people annoy me for it, I look to his poster on my wall ive had for 13 years, it makes me think I can do and be anything no matter who I am or what i was born like and it really helped me in my teen years with coming out my shell and pushing for the thrives of life. He didnt care for his height, he was a womanizer, partygoer, bright, humorous, confident and brave..a real man and hero( also had a really lifting smile). I only wish more people would hear and learn of his Achievement that set mankind on ita way to the stars. They only care about the Apollo :(. But at least your video will be here to show and tell his great story.

This is a part of history I wish they taught more in American schools. Gagarin is just a footnote and I never knew Armstrong and Aldrin left tributes to him on the moon until today. We also never talk about the first woman in space who was American... Oh wait no she wasn't she was from the USSR. But in school we are taught the first woman in space was from the USA. I was shocked in college to learn the truth. I think all space agencies need to unite and we should just have a human space agency.

Seriously man, you nailed it !!! I love your style of presenting animations.....
Thank you very much for this video! He was a real hero - calm and humble, he truly believed in what he was doing. You'll forever stay in our hearts and memories, the Man with a bright smile - Юрий Алексеевич Гагарин... PS The cosmonaut Komarov's life end was also tragic. His space capsule lost its parachutes and crushed into the ground. His favorite song was "The earth is empty without you" of Maya Kristalinskaya... Can't listen it without tears knowing this fact.
