My only hopes and wishes are: 1- SMT IV and IVA to somehow get reworked and ported to PC and consoles 2- SMT V to also get the DQ XI S treatment, a definitive edition with loads of cut content that also releases for every platform 3- My final wish probably the most plausible of them all for SMT 1 and 2 to get a proper english release that won’t vanish out of thin air.

When it comes to SMT IV we know it looks good in HD, all they would have to do for those two is upscale them and make them work on one screen, which overall if you look at it, would be pretty easy, changing the map on the bottom screen to be a mini map and adding a mask screen would be the hardest thing, pause screens would just go over the whole screen, the only one I can't potentially think of something is for the combat menu, but I do know it could work

honestly a remaster of SMT1, SMT2, and SMT if with official english translations would be cool, maybe with a bunch of aesthetic tweaks like being able to choose which version of the graphics you'd prefer (Modern, PSX, GBA, or SFC) as well as what OST you'd prefer

I hope we get an SMT V expanded release, add some more story scenes to help build the characters a bit more, and have all dlc included.

We got SMT Strange Journey Redux for 25th Anniversary and SMT Soul Hackers 3DS port for 20th Anniversary. Japan got also SMT 1 + SMT 2 + SMT If PSX ports for 10th Anniversary.

I think people would have been less negative on the Persona anniversary if it wasn’t dragged out for an entire year. Like you said, 4 ports we all wanted and another concert were all great.

@@xxProjectJxx covid did mess up their schedules, since the p live was originally intended to be on 2021. The multiplatform approach also partly changed their plans to some extent. At least they made a right choice in not revealing the next mainline concepts, considering the original Persona 5 delays.

No one is saying the ports weren't wanted, but when you're hype for the news reveals and 3 of them are all about P4AU coming and the rest are ads for mouthwash and shirts that are only available in japan... yeah it's extremely underwhelming. The ports honestly weren't even that huge of news either, they are literally just that, ports. Yeah P5 holds up well but P3 can be rough to go back to and they also picked P3P instead of P3F and giving it quality of life (controlling party lol). I know they wanted to keep the Femc but like... do a soft remaster where you just add her in? Idk ports are cool and all, but 0 game news about he next game in the franchise is a huge let down for their huge exciting anniversary that they advertised.

I really want them to finally translate the old smt games and rerelease them Smt 1 is already officially translated but unacessible Smt 2 and if were never released in english Though i would really be happy for a smt 4 port

i hope atlus releases a Digital Devil Saga or Devil Summoner Collection

@@joseluiscamacho5168 Go to screen layout and choose side by side, then you can hit f11 and have it fill out the whole monitor screen. It's not completely filled, there's still black bars, but it's pretty close.

I'd love a port of SMTIV & IV:A, with Apocalypse's changes to combat in vanilla SMTIV; even with the 2D sprite based battles. Depending on how well P3P does, I think that could happen but I do still doubt it will. Honestly though, I'll be happy if we only just get a port of SMTV to other platforms; I'd buy Day-One on Xbox!

You know what? This is actually a pretty decent way to start things off. Let’s just hope things get exponentially more exciting as time goes on (can really do without another P25th)

@@friedspacecowboy8760 nah, I saw the 25th. Was pretty satisfied, it also started pretty underwhelming but eventually got good with the SMTV teaser and the decent DSJ, my favorite part of the 25th was the anniversary album with some bangers on it.

Whenever I see the SMT 1 cast I just grin like an idiot. I just love their designs. Especially armored Kazuya (protag) Makes me so tempted to get it. I feel like a dumbass no matter how low I keep my expectations. But I'd rather go down a dumbass with unrealistic expectations than a SMT V 2022 supporter. So give me DDS HD duology, SMT V "Apocalypse", IV remaster, and of course, Catherine VR. And SMT V on other platforms, but that actually seems feasible enough.

I think all older SMT games deserve to be on modern systems, I would get SMT5 on PS4, I really want DDS HD remaster duology on PS4(PS5, Switch, etc.)

3DS games have been ported to consoles before and they looked great, i'd imagine if they were to port SMT IV to modern platforms they would upscale the graphics and find a way to fit everything on 1 screen.

I agree with you David, got 4 ports out of the Persona 25th so I definitely think they’ll do something for this SMT 30th. Keeping my hopes up

I really want DDS 1 & 2 on modern platforms. And maybe both Raidou games as well, after he was in the Nocturne Remaster? Please :D

I've said it before but I'll say it again. If all they gave us were translated ports of SMT I and II, or even an SMT I remake, I would be happy. They may have some outdated features, but they really are addictive and fun games.

My hopes: SMT I, II and If remake; SMT NINE Remake, SMT IV and IVA ports to switch (and other platforms, why not?), SMT V ports to other platforms (not only PS, bruh), Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 HD Remaster, Raidou 1+2 HD Remaster and SMT IMAGINE 2.0. Atlus being Atlus: TGC and maybe Pascal socks.

I'd like to see the two Devil Summoner Raidou games remade in HD for modern platforms. DDS would be nice too, since I've gone through that on PS2 and PCSX2 numerous times.

other than a port of SMT 5 and MAYBE Digital Devil Sage remaster but other than that I'm not expecting much

As someone who has been wanting to play the smt games for awhile I would love for them to port them all on PC. As that is my only means of playing games. I've heard the soundtrack for almost all the games but I haven't played any of them. Sad face.

I pre-ordered the trading cards. Yeah it's a bit expensive but if anything I'm a little surprised it was not more expensive than it is.

While I love games like DDS, DeSu, and the other mainlines…. I would rather them prioritize official English releases of SMT I, II, and If I know those games won’t really be in high demand in comparison to something like SMT IV, but i would love the opportunity to own these games, even if they aren’t peak quality. In all honesty tho, the thing I want most from the anniversary are vinyl soundtrack collections, similar to the Persona 25th anniversary collection set FanGamer recently released a Nocturne collection with some sexy ass artwork…. I’d love to see the other mainline games get that same treatment

Maybe this was delusional of me, but I was honestly expecting Atlus to do a SMT V port announcement at The Game Awards earlier this month in honor of the 30th anniversary.

I was hyped for the anniversary, but literally nothing happened💀 I thought they could at the very least make new art of all the mainline protagonists like they did with personas

$150 for a TCG? Is this the whole set?! What other cards would we be trading with anyone else? What happen to starter decks for only $19.99?!

I just hope Atlus learned from Persona 25th times and don't over promise and offer nothing. I also hope that SMT 5 will release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. I would honestly be more surprised if SMT 5 won't comes to PC at the very least, at least eventually.

At this point, any content that I can't play on the consoles I have are an instant buy.

one game is all i expect

For me who just got into SMT4 n apocalypse in 2021 I feel the dual screen is part of the appeal in SMT4 because that game has better stragety and team switching that SMT Nocturne. SMT5 is even better at stragety than Nocturne personally. I felt like a genius overcoming challenges of looking up n down screens, managing my entire team set up more actively than the other SMT games. I do feel the remake should make some of the requirements to get neutral to be lil more forgiving in the score stat. I grew up playing SMT Nocturne, bit of persona, bit of raidou, digital devil saga then around 2010 I stopped playing the series till 2020 and it felt great going back to this series. But personally I think SMT4 is one of the best JRPGs i've played in a very long fucking time, it really stands out with it's own unique story, characters and visual/musical presentation. I love mature af stories and I feel SMT4 not only tackled alot of these subjects n ideals very well, who ever did the writing/english translation did a fantastic job and it helps that the voice acting is a 10/10 even tho the voice actors are anime voice actors, they didn't feel like generic ANIME VOICES.... And that's a great thing, it kept me more invested in the story which is something I can't say for alot of games that have the simple visual novel style of just 2D character art just standing there with dialogue, But what works in SMT4 is because of little bits of good art directing keeps me focused like with image turning, the shock effect which is ment to give impact and sort of twist the story into something you're not expecting in some way. Sorry im getting bit out of hand here but.. I wouldn't mind a remake of SMT4, more people should play this hidden god tier of a gem, this is coming from me a JRPG fan who is very fussy on what he plays if a game doesn't stand out well. But the whole dual screen features made menu, inventory n stragety set ups so much faster and makes me feel like a genius when I look down at the bottom screen and I use the right skills to strike weaknesses or buff up the team etc. Having it all on one screen would kinda ruin the uniqueness of playing SMT4 for me personally but I want more people to play this in some way or another.

The only thing they'll have to redo is battles in smt IV since for battles it requires both screens

All I want is all of the mainline numbered games to be accessible on modern hardware (along with the PS2 spin offs) and we are kinda half way there, Id like to see... Shin Megami Tensei IV/Apocalypse Shin Megami Tensei I, II, and If... translated for NSO in the west at the bare minimum Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2 Remastered Shin Megami Tensei Raidou 1 & 2 Remastered (I know this one is less likely) Might be alot to ask for but I think its about time this series is more accessible with how SEGA and even ATLUS have been treating their other franchises like Yakuza and Persona.

i want the PS1 SMT1/2/IF games to be translated and ported so bad

I just want a definitive port for 1 and 2 I know it won't happen so i'll settle for a SMT V PC port

The TCG set looks interesting but at the end of the day its a collectors item and its a shame to get it if i have no one to play it with. As for the rest of the anniversery, just like with the Persona one i keep my expectations low, i expect some ports but thats really it.

I would like it but none of my friends are into TCGs anymore so there wouldn't be much point. Why get a game you won't be able to play? I hope they remaster the first two games, and maybe if we're really lucky the Megami Tensei trilogy as well. Remasters of 8-bit and 16-bit games seem to be doing well lately so maybe Altus will try it.

I’m ready for remake tbh. I don’t want to get my hopes up but ultimately games is what care about. P25th in my eyes was not good even those 4 ports. P4AU just doesn’t interest me, I don’t really see the appeal. I already had P5R and P4G, sure it’s cool other get to play it but isn’t anything new. P3P I mean is ok because I haven’t finished P3F yet but a remake would’ve been better, not to sound spoiled or anything but it’s true. I really hope that Atlus is leaning towards remakes because I think a lot games could benefit from like SMT 1,2 and IF…, DDS duology, and all of the Devil Summoner games. If anything remasters for the PS2 games. I don’t want straight ports however of games like for example SMT IV or Devil Survivor if that’s going to get in the way of remasters and remakes. Again don’t want get my hopes but it’d cool if this didn’t play out like P25th. As for the cards I wouldn’t mind buying it if was like $30 but $150 is insane, I buy games with that money.

Personally I wanna see an SMT ONE remaster. It's one of the few Japan only Xbox exclusive RPGs and it's never been translated.

3 weeks ago, I finally beated SMT Nocturne for the first time, making it the last SMT game to be beated except 5 (yes, I've beaten 1 and 2 before 3, don't ask why lmfao), and the ONLY thing that restrains me from beating ALL the mainline entries now, is that damned Switch exclusiveness, for two reasons: a switch is really fucking expansive where I live (brazil btw), and I refuse to give N*ntend* any penny of mine. So, if what you've said about SMT V's PC port end up being true, I will scream in a way that will put my football-fanatic uncles to shame.

I personally want Strange Journey on PlayStation.

There's a rumour that SMT 3 4 and 5 could be getting the same persona treatment and be ported to modern systems. Reliable leaker Nick from Xbox era was one of the first people to suggest MS were looking to do deal for persona games for Gamepass about 2 years ago and that came to Fruition. He said MS are looking to do similar Gamepass deal for the SMT games. Of course it might be another year or two before we get them but I'm confident they'll be ported. 3 already has ports on modern systems but 4 and 5 don't and 5 is switch only

Devil Survivor is a quality SRPG that could do well with a Switch Port. Would love to see a new one in the future.

Keeping my fingers crossed that SMT I and II get remade with 3D graphics and a more modern combat system. SMT just isn't the same without press turns....
