The First Seven Upgrades to Our Momentum 410THR!
NOTE!!!! I apparently used the wrong glue for the sewer connections which are ABS and not PVC. That said, the primer/solvent didn't seem to hurt anything (not needed on ABS), and the PVC glue worked fine. Obviously not the right glue for the job, but checking the connection a week later, it is still solid. I guess time will tell if it will be a problem. But use ABS glue if you do this project.

Every RV needs a few little add-ons and upgrades to be as functional and comfortable as possible. These are the first seven things we did to help accomplish that.

Keep your eye on that , it may loosen over time. If they come off or loosen, clean with solvent then use the BLACK ABS glue. I was gritting my teeth when I saw your video.

You're the only owner I have seen on these RV channels that really knows how to do some work. Perfectly! The only other guy I have seen does it full time in Arizona

Martin with RV Street is great. I only discovered him in the last six months. Jared from All About RVs is also great and has good production and a sincerity to him. RV with Tito is also a good channel. There are others as well. Every one has their own way of presenting things, and personality, production, and charisma playa huge role in whether that channel works for you or not. Some RV’ers (like Chad) are very self reliant, and others, not so much. The other thing about the different channels is they’re always fixing different things from one another, so between them all, hopefully someone is doing the thing you need to learn about.
I can’t wait for the TPMS and internet videos. Great video as always!!
You guys are couples goals. "I brought you something" "oohh a snack" I love you two.
Love the flight attendant comment. I am a flight attendant, lol. I've been watching your channel for a very long time. I enjoy your content.

Thanks for watching! 😊
As an ex employee of a company that made abs and pcs pipe and fittings abs cement we used was black no primer needed. Also abs pipe will contract and expand with temperature changes.
you guys are great people no dout in my mind thank you for shairing the door shade i like the dirty bomb tubes for the dirt bomb hose lmao ....
For the Valterra slide valve, I used the regular one that rotates on with clips. I then put a 4” radiator clamp around the base. Once tightened, that Valterra is never twisting off. And, you haven’t made any permanent, glued on change.

Thanks I'm going to try that :}
We installed plexiglass on our screen door so we could leave our door open with heat or AC on. Works perfectly and I don’t feel closed in
On y'all's Valtera bayonet gate valve, Camco makes a spanner-type tool designed to make removing the cover much easier. Another option is available at any auto parts store. A pair of 12" adjustable pliers for removing oil filters works well too. Safe travels y'all. Giddy up.
Looks like the crew was able to move your screens inside too! Love seeing these little projects getting done.
Never hurts to have too much Propane. Sometimes you have to call around when the stores run out. Enjoy how you explain everything and are a perfectionist like myself. I am a Scorpio. Safe travels.
Thank you so much, Chad. I've learned so much from you.
Be safe on your travels your friend Rhonda Birch
My 5th wheel is now 2 years old I did all these same upgrades except the propane sensor. Just added that one to my list. Love your channel, your guys are awesome!!
The great videos just keep rolling in!
Love Rochers!
We have 5 ring door bells best thing to put on. 1-front door 2- Driver sides 3- passenger side front and back of Rv and on rooftop to that way when driving you can see all around and top help to make shure you don’t hit something on top and fit under to things to
I love the mopeka sensor. It's a life saver especially at this time with all the cold. Im Just glad my 100lb tanks have a better flat spot for the sensor. I just need to get another one so I don't have to keep switching it to the next tank because I only use propane for my furnace. Thank you for this channel because seeing you guys take care of things yourself and letting us know products you use helps us realize we can do more things ourselves than we thought we could
Roundness of the tank - wait until its empty. Get a block of wood and beat the roundness out…then put your sensor back on with the collar.
I have the Andrson Buckets with magnets and love them
As always enjoy your videos

Cool stuff. Making it your home.
Great mods Chad and you do a great job of really explaining how you do it. Looking forward to your other videos.
No problem, CHAD, I watch all of your videos, in part because of the subject, and part because of the quality that you two produce! High marks on both!
Great video. Congrats on the new rig, exciting times. Safe travels!
Thank you for doing these. It's something I will definitely have to come back to when I finally have my own home on wheels. Just . . . trying to keep believing I can get there.
Love your DIY videos I’m not mechanically inclined so when we hit the road I’ll be watching your videos for help & ideas.
Congratulations on your new rig guys it looks amazing I can't wait to watch your new video's
I don't have an RV but I love your videos, great information on projects and places you travel! Safe travels!
Thanks for sharing these excellent tips! I'm going to do several of these upgrades very soon! ❤
Thank you for this video! Helps other campers know what other products are worth getting to upgrade their RV! Like always great explanation of everything!
Thanks again for your video. Always lots of good information. Hope that 2023 brings a lot of great times and fun places.
Great video sounds great work Happy New year 2023
Cool, I just purchased my new trailer and you're doing the trial work for me,thanks, looking forward to seeing more installation videos!!
Really enjoy learning of Rv products that are not so obvious. Have had the dump slide for a couple of years and highly recommended.
Best RV channel on KZread.
I like that rug option for the steps. Will have to look into those
I love the videos
Thank you! I've learned LOTS from you over the years. Keep up the great content! I'll be purchasing some of your recommendations that I don't already have.
Great stuff Chad. I was waiting for your rigging videos on the new 5th wheel. Can’t wait to see your internet one. Thanks for sharing
Well, it's good to see ya'll making this into your new home. The mods ya'll did on the other rig were all interesting to see. I'm sure this one with mods will be just as good. Hey, at least with having done them before, there shouldn't be any surprises . It will be good to see the three of you on the road again. God bless and ya'll stay safe, keep it running between the lines.
you are one busy beaver. All good information. keep up the good work so we all learn. thanks again
We love our Mopeka tank sensors. So nice to know when you are getting low on propane without having to go outside …especially when it’s cold out.
Another great video Chad, love the do it yourself videos!! We will be installing the sensors on our propane tanks very soon, all other mods already done. Thank you for posting. Brian and Lisa from Canada
Chad I really enjoy your how to videos because you are doi g it step by step in language I can understand. I wondered about the poop hose carrier and just realized I can buy that tube. Thank you
Love when you start customizing the new home ! Don't get me wrong, I Love the travel too 🥰 Safe Travels guy's ❤️
You can just cut the 3" drain. Add a coupler and a 12" piece. If you ever want to switch back just cut and replace with original.
Thanks!

Hey Chad, Well done and great work. You have the right amount of brevity with detail combined with insight to your videos. Cant wait to see your Internet 4.0 episode too. Keep up to the well done videos on interesting topics. See yo down the road!
Great video Chad!! That trailer is going to be sick when you guys are finished with it. 👍🏻
love y'alls videos. Our new 397 will be here in about a week and your videos have been a great help!
Great video, a tip for those that do not want the glue in valve, I installed a small set screw to keep it from backing off like you said it can do sometimes. Keep the videos coming
GD and Volta did a nice job on relocating the control panels.
Good content. This is the kind of product form fit and function I like. I like to know what products you like an why. Take care!!
Saw this at the rv show yesterday. Different paint scheme, but I knew it as soon as I saw it.
Alternative for the step rugs, Prest-o-fit also makes a 4 pack for the MORryde steps. Ours are 2 years old and just as easy to remove and clean when needed. Looking forward to see what products you are trying out or prefer and internet solution 4.0 will be. Your previous videos helped me find a cost effective solution using more affordable hardware for a part-timer.
This spring I’m removing all my underbelly and upgrading the insulation and inspecting the water lines and tank. Going to install 2” pink foam board at the bottom of the frame rails.

Careful dave, wanna get something that doesn't burn because two types of power down there and if you have tank heaters danger level is up even more. Be safe bro. Seen it a few times, they put heat tape for water lines next form and poof nice fire burned the house down.
@davidbottles3035
Жыл бұрын
@@jemarty666 will have fiberglass where the inferior substandard is now then a layer of solar foil like the factory. Outside of that will be the 2” pink board and then the coraplast protection barrier. There will be no foam or poly of any kind up inside the frame rails of the trailer.
Though I hadn't tried it you could just leave the nobs and tangs on and glue on as you did with cutting the nobs off and sanding it down and then gluing it up be sure to leave the rubber gasket on as well.
As usual, very nice presentation. Wham bam thank you maaam, all done, ez pz. Time for a nap, huh. Thanks for the invite, until next time...
Timely video with the tank sensors. We had to get two extra 30lb tanks for the Christmas freeze and I also discovered they are a different roundness and the sensors really do not attach well. Good to know about the adhesive cage. Save travels with the new rig.
We keep our sewer attachments in a five gallon bucket with lid. That bucket is kept inside one of those spare tire "trash bags". It's the perfect size. We keep gloves in one side pocket and wipe with sanitizer in the second side pocket. We keep our bag attached to the ladder. It's been a great way to keep everything poop related out of our little under storage.

Our hoses are kept in a hose keeper under the rig just like yours. We have a grand design 31mb
Nice, awesome mods, I know what you mean on the RV Waste Dump Gate Valve that screw on I had it to screw off on me and all I can say I was not a happy camper, so I got the Permanent Mount and glue in on, those Snap Pad are a much have I put them on all of my rv's, can't wait to see the other mods.
You have a very patriotic rig now.
The MacGyver show!
Have done the same upgrades on our Solitude
For the sewer connector: I used 4-inch hose clamp, slight tighten it, this that kept it from ever coming off
Really enjoy your channel and watch your videos all the time. With me being from Canada I was really surprised to see you measuring in metric and not imperial when you installed the sensors on your LP tanks.
SnapPads - Be sure to double check the size you need for your specific rig. I have a Class A DP, and I actually have different size landing pads in the front versus the back; I needed to purchase two different diameter SnapPads. They were worth the $, by the way.
