@@QUANTUMJOKER I agree as well, but I think a lot of people forget the 3rd one a lot. Most people I know only remember the 1st two films. Also, Omen 2 was such a great Sequel in my opinion. Like the 1st film, you wanted to know what would happen next. Hoping this new one adds something great to the franchise cause it looks beautifully shot with great acting - very reminiscent of how the original which was beautifully shot with great acting.

@@TazSimpson You are right. I'm one of the many who feel the third film ended on such an anti-climatic note to what Omen 1 and Omen 2 had set up. The only redeeming thing of Final Conflict was the epic score which in itself emotes that something grand we were going to watch, but instead the story told did not match the score. What should have been done instead of this prequel, is just reboot the third film and properly finish the trilogy with Damien being US President, and unleash hell on the earth via executions, plagues, and all kinds of horrors...make it a true biblical epic...there is untapped potential here that Fox and now Disney is squandering.

We all know the "secret." What is there to keep us on the edge of our seats. It's completely predictable where this is going, but we are supposed to play along and pretend we are intrigued by some big reveal. yeh nooo. Get more creative and come up with something enticing. Good cinematography, but that is not enough.

This movie really scared me and conveyed some truly dark emotions, which I appreciate. I recommend it.

I was shocked how sophisticated the footage was - it was like art!

Now this is definitely more creepier and intense especially This trailer gives me a lot of optimism that we might be in for a real gem the cast looks really good. It feels that the protagonist of the film nell tiger free may not be at the full front of the movie which I thought she might be instead it’s a little girl but throughout the trailer it’s shows they maybe twists and turns. Overall the trailer looks good and intensely interesting

Cracks me up that every horror franchise eventually goes “hey you know how all that scary stuff happened in the first movie? What if we set the next movie before all the scary stuff happens?? This is a great idea!”

Perhaps they're taking the approach that the young girl, Carlita, was a failed attempt to birth Damien? This would set-up a potential "happy" ending, where Nell Tiger Free's character can save the girl and everything looks to end well. At this point, you can bring in the jackal plot point and not stray too far from canon. Or the "this girl is meant to be a mother" element is a red herring. I mean, I can't imagine they would just drop one of the most important (and disturbing) elements of the previous books/movies.

Yeh Maybe the girl is a decoy (give them something to fear) meaning he is still born of a jackal and they faked it so no one would look that way perhaps? its a prequel so no doubt they will explain it.Its such a important creepy part of the omen that they couldnt possibly get away with leaving it out or changing it!

They already did a version of that in The Omen 4, where the evil little girl wasn't the Anti-Christ themselves, but rather the host for the Anti-Christ. If they are rehashing stuff from a direct to TV sequel then you know they are in a bad way. The same way Exorcist Believer stole names and plot points from The Exorcist TV show, ... and we all know how that turned out!

@@anam3704 Yeah but she herself wasn't the Anti-Christ, she was the Vessel or was born with an Anti-Christ embryo in her that was transplanted into her adopted mother, and then she took on the role of Protector when the Anti-Christ was born. It's been a long time since I watched it, but that's the jist of it.

This looks really wicked. So far visually promising

Amazingly well directed and acted, great story and characters. One of the best prequels to date and a great addition to the franchise. 10/10

I've been a fan of the Omen franchise since I was a teenager and this installment was great. Way up there with the original ones. Good enough to forget that The Omen IV: The Awakening ever existed. I feel like The First Omen didn't get the promotion it deserved though. I found out about it a few short weeks before its release because I saw a (small) poster at my local theater. I didn't see any ads on TV or online. I hope we get more Omen movies of rhis caliber in the near future. 🤞

As a 50 years old horror movies fan , Im rarely scared by the movies recently, but this could be something , and that girl from '' servant '' , may worth to see the movie

I love the original 1976 film with Gregory Peck and Lee Remick. It had the right combination of camp and horror. I'll keep an open mind about this film, and the casting of Ralph Ineson as Father Brennan is an inspired choice.

The original Omen is good, although I prefer the 2006 Omen, with Liev Schreiber

I've loved The Omen franchise since I was a kid, I even have the first novel and I hope this new version will be good!! I liked the choice of the 1.85:1 normal widescreen ratio, as one thing the series has always used a lot are focused close-ups and this format is excellent for that. I hope the soundtrack is engaging too, like the first ones in the series (I think they were Jerry Goldsmith's soundtracks, from what I remember), it helped a lot with the atmosphere (and I missed that in the remake, whose soundtrack didn't impact me). Waiting anxiously!!...

Just watched the movie today in the cinemas and it was probably the best movie I’ve ever seen. Definitely a 10/10

Hopefully they keep his mum being a Jackal, that was a really cool addition to the story that has been consistant

I'm looking forward to see this movie. I am genuinely intrigued to watch after the premiere date.

This movie was absolutely worth the watch, every second of it.. It's very well done, has some unbelievable shocking scenes that will give you the chills and nightmares, and and the acting is just top notch. It has a very disturbing feeling about it, it makes you feel uneasy.. I really highly recommend it!

Finchy’s come a long way since his Wernham Hogg days! 😎

Came back to say that this film exceeded all my expectations, and for purists, it actually DOES stay true to the canon with one exception. Great direction, acting, atmosphere.

Thank U 20th Century Studios, to bring us really a brilliant and a great film. Incredible music and photograhy, excellent directed and with a great supporting roles and main characters (Nell shes incredible and amazing). Proud to have a respectful precuel for The Omen. Thanks!

The OG teaser for this was so much better and really set a super dark and deprived mood. This felt so much more mainstream and safe.

Sy baru saja nonton first omen ini , seru ,bagus , menegangkan .. Konsepnya kyk the orphan first kill ..tapi lbh bagus yg ini Klo orphan terbelenggu pada tokoh utama ,jadi mau di buat sekuel berikutnya tetep tokohnya harus si issabele furhman ..padahal dia trus beranjak dewasa.. Klo film omen ini tdk terikat 1 karakter ,jadi bisa trus berkembang tokoh2 di dalemnya

There's some shots in the trailer alone which I'm SUPER impressed by for a horror film of this scale and you can tell there's proper director vision (just did a deep dive on director and excited what she does next with her photography background), but you'll always have producers meddling to what will make it more marketable.

Just saw Immaculate, and honestly I'm impressed they released the sequel so quickly! /s

Thr real history of the church and the children they kidnapped is more terrifying then a horror movie.

@Kevin-mq4nv So what that got to do with it. Every other film gets musical facts right. If a film is set in the Twenties or Thirties do they have them listening to Elvis or the Beatles. It's a film researcher job to get stuff right. By the way I've just seen an article online about this film and they mentioned the same thing.
