It’s just a bunch of old heads who can’t see that Joker and Murray literally put up almost identical numbers as the greats, and use a straw man argument of “well basketball was harder back then.” It doesnt matter what they think. They will never know because we can’t time travel and put 2023 teams against MJ and them. All that matters is that they literally did what the greats did.

i watched this live but i didn’t even pay attention to Jokic. I’m a kentucky fan so i was mostly watching Karl Towns. I don’t think Jamal Murray was even on our radar yet either. He really blew up the next spring.

@@magic3383 I think this is the 2014 game. Murray was still between his sophomore and junior years. He wasn’t really on anyone’s radar. His recruitment was weird because he didn’t get noticed till the hoop summit the NEXT season. And then he committed to UK and reclassed like a month later. I think his best offer before the 2015 hoop summit was Oregon. Where he was a heavy lean and then UK and Duke offered him. But i thigh UK only recruited him for like a month or two.

@@magic3383 He played in the pan am games or some kid of internerional or FIBA competition after he committed to Kentucky as well and he killed it there too. I think in ether the finals or semifinals he scored like 20 straight points for Canada in a come from behind win. Might have been against Team USA. But he was brilliant in that. I think that’s when a lot of people got a look at his full potential. Because he was doing that against older players as well.
