@@LandSquid-ns5ds it's this whole thing to do with links on an objects and how shine chips are counted with each objects inside the links and stuff. I don't want to do all that typing. All you need to know is that they don't show up in the counter at the top but it still counts toward the moon.

That was insane! I was not expecting someone to make something so interesting rather than enemy spam bullcrap. I guess we'll be seeing a lot of New Donk blocks copied and pasted for now but I'm sure good stuff can be made with it.

Thanks a ton Mayro! Unfortunately we will be either seeing a lot of building blocks copy and pasted everywhere, or just only half custom levels until custom objects are figured out. Just give it a week or two before that gets found out then we will get some really cool quality levels! Also yeah I don't DO enemy spam garbage so you can count on me for cool stuff 😎

I love how the goomba tower is so tall that the game has to bring it's camera so far that the player hardly has an idea of where they're going due to the render distance

the draw distance is due to the original stage using large amounts of fog. the goombas have nothing to do with it though.

I personally thought that the level had really poor design until 5:14

Great video. I’m excited to see what comes next! There’s a lot of hope for odyssey mods.

Cheesethegoldensword what do you mean by it would be harder to get assets? We could do it, it wouldn't be very good, but soon once we figure out custom objects then it will be good. This has nothing to do with getting assets lol

Wow... This is amazing. The only things I could find that could potentially be fixed are some graphical glitches caused by overlapping textures, the names of the moons, and the cutscene that shows the moon after you get the shards. But considering that this game came out less than *nine months ago,* this is big.

That was some very precise rolling you did.

the challenges look quite dull -destroy a pile of blocks with bullet bills until you can barely reach a paragoomba -2D section! just jump left and right -jesus... so many goombas spend a few minutes trying to stack them all -it's yoshi! i wonder what we'll do with it's movement opti... nevermind it's just slowly climbing a gap

I'm assuming this level is just a way to showcase just what modding can do. I believe we'll get more fleshed-out level designs in due time. :)

This is really neat! Now we need a Luigi character mod.

Awesome I really hope we will see a lot of nice costum level rom hacks in the future

I wish we had some of kind of level creator in the game without having to hack. That would be really fun.

Just imagine the future of this. One day, we're going to get to Mario 64 levels of custom levels.

I think the coolest thing would be to make a custom stage for the Play-As-Bowser sublevel mod. Something that makes use of his size, high jumps, claw and fireball attacks.

Still waiting on the playable Peach and Tiara mod for this game.

I still find it very hard to believe that mods on the switch have come so far already.

It seems a little rough around the edges, but WOW! A custom level!

Custom level means new skins and new ideas for each level. Odyssey treats each level as a new world. This is just a continuation of another level with things moved around.

Yes you can rename moons but I didn't know how to when I made this, and it doesn't really matter anyways.

Sean Burdick render distance and object stuff. You can see all the way across the sand kingdom because the entire ground is just one object. But this level was made with multiple smaller objects so the ones that were too far away would fade from existence.

Now we wait for a whole new kingdom.
