The few articles I've seen about it have specified concurrent player count. It's kind of Steam's fault for still calling their free games "Top Sellers" instead of most downloaded, but I get that it rolls off the tongue more. But also, there are so many games now that many of them flop on launch. Like, this game looks fine to me while at the exact same time looking like 100 other game loops that already exist.

The top selling game on Steam is a $0 game full of micropayments that is rated 50%. The absolute state of gaming, folks.

Thats how card collector or mini collector games work. You buy a set to get something you like. Have extras. Have to use the extras + more investment to get something else you like. Trade extras to people who want them. its a community building kind of thing. No one with a brain is tricked or fooled by this stuff. The reason a lot of unreal games look the same is because they're all using the same lighting, shadows, ambient occlusion, reflections etc. solutions. You can change how a lot of the assets look and have totally original art, but when all of these effects are being done in the exact same way over and over, people start to notice.

As depending on what definition of the word i am definantly right and you are wrong, under certain definitions and laws (changes depending on where you live) a sale is only legally classified as a sale if a transaction from both parties has taken place. For example: 20USD for a meal. Under other definitions the requirements are that the seller has set their products price to be above 0 (free), this would allow products given away for free to be classed as sales regardless of the price being 0 (at the time) as the value was previously established by the seller. Additionally here is a non legal arguement that would lean in my favour not yours, Ark survival evolved was free last year for about a week, do those people who obtained the game count as sales? Most people would argue based on logic that giving away something for free is not a sale. The only price the player pays for playing a free game is 1 boosting numbers 2 download space 3 playtime, those are the only "prices" paid by the player of a free game.

To be honest, I don´t understand the transaction point. I've played the game for 40.9 hours now, levelled my character to level 40 and maxed my gear to 100 and still don't know what you can buy in the shop besides skins. Personally, I've never had the feeling of being forced to pay in order to progress in any way. EDIT: I reached a point where you have to grind like a mental to achieve a single weapon part and it´s ridiculous. I changed my mind.

@@nw6358 Yes, I'm still playing it and have 82 hours on the game right now. I think the game itself is actually really good. There's nothing wrong with the gameplay itself (maybe a little bit more fps would be good, it´s a bit hard to run for ppl with weak pc´s). It's fun and it feels really good to kill and farm enemies. The only thing that bothers me a little are the repetitive boss mechanics, the drop hazards of some weapon parts and the lack of opportunity to farm some of them. (There is a 5 minute cooldown on farming spots for a few weapon parts, which is just a waste of time with a 0.3% drop chance, in my opinion) Would I recommend the game? To be honest, yes IF you're willing to make a few compromises, such as putting up with having to have every ultimate weapon. (Unless you pay purely of course, lol) You realise that the developers will entice you to pay something, especially if you get a bit further and get stuck. But if you look, you'll find a workaround and have a really good time again.

Just want to say, old games used to cater to specific audiences. I'll give very broad examples. If Rockstar catered to open world games with crime elements they would cater to that market and that market only. If Ubisoft catered to History buffs with a bit of fantasy intertwined, they would only cater to those specific type of people. Nowadays games try to cater to everyone instead of focusing on their fan base, which creates games who are Jack's of all trades but masters of none. I don't even know if this has anything to do with the video, I'm kind of drunk but hey that's what I'm talking about I guess

I'll say this, as someone with 2100 hours in Warframe all the systems in this game made perfect sense. Almost every system is such a slight difference from the way Warframe does it that the learning curve was basically zero. That being said, Warframe is really bad for new players and without that experience this one will be too. Anyone not familiar will need to take a bit of time to really look at how everything works because there isn't much in-game training that gives you enough information. Regarding build times: TFD is like a dream compared to Warframe where weapons take 12 hrs to craft and new Warframes take a total of 4 days because it's 12 hours to craft the pieces then 3.5 days to assemble the pieces into the frame.

I think the build times is a problem that only exists if you don't realize that you can farm prime parts and easily trade them for platinum (even the trash stuff). Which allows you to get skip those build times (And but new slots). That said that fact isn't clear for new players which I can understand from a financial standpoint. a F2P game needs to make money somehow but its a bit of a double edged sword. You could argue they can just remove the build times but it serves more purpose then just making you wait. If forces you to actually use the stuff you unlock and not just rush to the next thing. To actually LEARN the Warframes and Weapons. Also it keeps you coming back which is ALSO a very important factor to keeping a game alive. So while the build times are annoying when you start playing Warframe I think most long time players (even those that don't spend real money on the game) will agree with me that it actually becomes LESS of an issue as you get deeper into the game.

Also there are certain grinds that no matter how you do them just fills me with dread cause of how boring and tedious they can be. One of them is the stalker weapons I’ve been grinding for hate for months it also doesn’t help the stalker himself rarely spawns unless you do the group grind. Then there’s void traces but I’ll take that over the old systems. But let’s not forget this is just day 1 no game is gonna be perfect on day 1 warframe was pretty boring and bare bones on release and it took years of trial and error to get it to were it is today.

And that's great. But eventually, new content will drop. Advancements. You'll be fine grinding for a bit, but competition is alluring. Keeping up is important. You'll buy a mystery box a few times for deals or events, then you'll buy them every pay period.....

Warframe used crafting times quite well. Starting the weapon or frame craft was nice point where you can end your session and it builds up anticipation for the next session because you know you will be able to play with new toys.

Same tho the crafting for First Decendent in sense very early game is cut and dry but as you progress you unlock missions to farm for weapon parts to craft new weapons

You know something is wrong when the reactor which is use to double the mod capacity of descendants is 20$, on warframe you get 4 free per season pass (also free) and some every weekend. Also pretty much if bought with platinum which can be farm with trading.

Can we just start calling it "Bethesdaing" or "Gearboxing" enemies when all the difficulty changes is their HP or armor?

The Division, especially early on before build exploits, was one of the worst cases of bullet sponge mobs. I remember cracking up while dumping mag after mag into an enemy.

People are not getting the fact that Warframe premium currency can be acquired by playing, getting things and selling them, while in TFD don't have such option, either you farm it or buy it to skip the grind, while in Warframe, while you play and learn about the game, you can literally get things you don't need at the start, sell those, and get the premium currency to buy things you need currently.

To be entirely fair to steam the review system they have is more meant to be a "do I think you should get this?" than a "is this good?" The problem is most people are used to other sites that use a simpler star rating system and so they don't really get that part. It also doesn't help steam has zero moderation for reviews outside some sort of automod banning curse words and such and when review bombing happens, though even then they seem to just ignore that. The number of copy pastas I've seen in game reviews...

That would make steam reviews pointless. The usefulness of steam reviews comes from the fact that people have to pick yes or no. Do or do not recommend. No one gives a rats ass about how thousands of individual people would rate a game on a scale because that would be overwhelming to read through. The main use comes from the culmination of reviews that add up to a typically fair overall score.

There is a variety of enemies compared to some games you have the void battles with the huge enemy and each map seems to have different enemies/status effects. I have had alot of fun with bunny but would like decent priced skins to buy

Warframe had the perfect system down to the the T. You can get a shotgun build and be fine in a mission because the weapon is viable and you can compensate with abilities, but in TFD your shotguns are only heavy type architypes with low ammo reserves and abysmal range.

5:30 thats where individual approaches spice up the game! I've been using the freeze character right so if I pop my ice floor ability as the shield mobs walk towards me they become frozen, dip behind and BOOM take them out! My problem with the game is that I find the UI and displays quite messy and too much on the screen at once given time, it feels like there is too much going on for my smooth brain.

FYI, you can grapple TO the shield and melee it mid reel-in. Knocks the shield guy down. I never even tried to shoot the shield. I found this by accident but I was already grapple/meleeing enemies before the first shield guy showed. It's the most satisfying part of the game IMO.

Not me genuinely enjoying the game 10 hours in. The only real complaints being the servers otherwise the game is wide open for FTP enjoyers. It also tells you exactly where specific materials can be found for crafting which helps focus the grind. Story isn’t Balders gate 3 but standard like 6/10.

I felt the way you did about melee and snipers at first But I've got a sword now and a fun sniper build with plans to take it to the ammo resupply guy so I'm loving it

I've got an 8 year old setup with a GTX 960 and a 6th gen I5 in, the only perfomance issues I've experienced where while the game was still loading the shaders for the first time. The games performance is incredible given how good the grafics are!

The point is by that time you'll have like 30 frames to choose from so if you feel like having a more engaging combat you can just make another build that provides more of a challenge. @@stalliontv8788 You could adapt your frame/build to your preferred playstyle. Personally the most fun I've had in WF was creating my 'feel good builds' and exploring possibilities. But yeah I am just adapting to the model that WF has, kinda cope, just saying that it is still very enjoyable even if you don't follow the speed or any other meta.

Every time a streamer or any news outlets says Elden Ring is bad or getting beaten by another game in it's numbers always ends up back firing them badly soo don't say anything negative about it

This might sound crazy but you can also grind all characters like ultimate bunny. The thing that I hate the most right now is that when ever I do a 3rd boss fight I get nothing making grinding for ultimate bunny or any parts at that almost impossible and it’s not even like a 35% chance you will get it it’s about 2 to 1 percent chance and if you don’t get it you will have to wait smh

I wish free to play games would have the ability to fully earn in-game stuff that would enable them to get additional items(which I think this has) but then also have a $50 or $60 option that will unlock all the descendants now and moving forward. Skins would still be paid, but I think a lot of people would do that and then be less upset about having to buy everything.

I love how I got an Ad for The First Descendents in the middle of this video, right when he made the face about the game having "more purchaseable microtransactions than actual gameplay mechanics included in the game itself." Gotta love KZread

What I thought when i heard Nexon was the creator. years ago in college i tried "combat arms" where you paid real money for limited times with weapons. Not to mention they never were able to remotely stop the cheaters. Their fix was a vote system and if enough people voted you were cheating you were banned for cheating. which led to actual good players catching a ban based off the votes alone. but it ran on my POS laptop so I played. Never again will i play a Nexon game.

As a guy who got to max level in Combat Arms back in the day and spent many, many hours getting quickscoped/quickscoping on Oil Rig... Whew. I'm not surprised one bit. Nexon is the same company that, back in the late 2000s, was renting you guns and special characters (mercenaries and specialists who could use special, busted items) as well as lootcrates... releasing new p2w guns like dual skorps, straight upgrades to popular weapons (l96a1 ghillie to arctic wolf variant, etc.). I remember whenever the m416 CQB got released, 💀 Point being, 20 years later almost, they're still on their bullshit. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I keep getting a "out of video memory error" issue with the game. I have a 3080ti with a i9 13900k so thats def not it. I have tried a lot of steps to fix the issue and cant get anywhere...

@asmond i have been playing and you can actually switch to a sword from the fist as a module ability however melee in general kinda meh no matter how high the lvl but the best you can get for melee is to play sharen who has a energy sword as her ability

TFD reminds me a bit of Defiance, pretty fun with some frustrating issues, running out of ammo in the wave based modes is a massive pain in the arse, some of the areas are confusing and so forth.

Warframe was developed by basically a rag-tag studio and not a giant like Nexon. It's understandable for new releases to not have the same amount of content as games that have been out and running for a decade. However, the issue is real when the content provided by the game runs out in a matter of days

Warframe was developped in less than a year, by an almost bankrupt AA studio, without a very powerful engine like UE5. It launched with 3 different factions, all very distinct, and seven mission types. Nice dynamic gameplay for the time (although a bit rigid at times) and varied weapons/powers. 1 year after release, it already had more content than Destiny 1 and its 5 year development period by an AAA studio.

Go in, play have some fun, fight an challenging boss with your friends etc and it is all free. Meanwhile you unlock many things. I have unlocked viessa, bunny, freyna and the invisible girl, forgot her name.. it wasnt event hard. Just play mainstory basically. I did watch asmongolds stream where he plays and buy the ultimate decendant and it didnt seem to do shit besides a skin so I am not worried. Just enjoy, it is pve still so no need to compete

"you shoot the shield and then you shoot them" being boring design is true, especially after you've experienced a better similar design. The Jackals in Halo are not "shoot the shield and then shoot them." They are "shoot the gap in their shield and then shoot them." This seems like a bullshit argument up front, I know, but I assure you it's not. The phycological effect of finding the gap in a target's defense to create a momentary stumbling weakness is very satisfying and very different from the meat, especially afainst an enemy that's otherwise faster and more accurate than most other enemies and only hunkers down to use the shield part of the time. Most of the time other designers fall into worse versions of that riot shield enemy design by making them bigger, slowler, stronger, and quadruple health to turn them into meat punching bags with a spring loaded cabinet door that stops you from punching it (the shield). It's boring as hell and anoying. It feels like trying to put away dishes and every time you bend down to grab another one from the dishwasher the cabinet closes on you so you need to open it up again. And there are SO MANY DISHES. It's boring. It's dumb. It's a chore, and they always walk so slowly toward you with the shield out. Why is the Jackal so much better? You may ask. They come in fast so you don't have time to dread the interaction, and instead they appear almost startling you. You don't shoot the impervious shield, but rather catch the skill shot and feel like a badass. Even if some games have the stagger point on the shield be just as skill heavy of a shot, the psychology of hitting the womprat difficult shot is so much better than the shield itself. And once they're staggered they go down easily. One shot to the gap and one shot to the head and its over. No sense of it being a chore because it's too quick. So then they throw like 3 or 4 of them at you, which on paper is just 4x th health, right? But phycology isn't on paper. The sense of "FUCK YEAH!" with every pop-pop-down on the Jackals compounds with each one rather than the meat versions just soaking damage like a punching bag. Anyway, this is another reason why Halo is one of the greates series ever made. Im sure Asmongold would agree of he read this comment.

Shot guns and snipers need more ammo. Movement I agree is very fun. The ability's I actually like a lot it feels more like a heldivers with special abilitie.

When he was talking about the enemies i agreed till I did the wave missions then it becomes crazy how hard the enemies get

Fr. P2W is bs. Bunny is a strong early game character and she is very easy to get. She is free and her forging time is like 15 secs. There are ways to get Descendents for free. Just involves time and grinding. That's it. If you can't wait and grind it for free then don't play and that behavior says more about your ability to be patient than the games P2W idea. The pay things are 100% cosmetics and convenience for now. I hope they keep it like this going forward and they add more to it to keep things spicy.

I feel like they could’ve done so much more for the intercept boss fights. Make it more of a raid. Spawn in a map, fight through mini bosses/minions leading to the giant boss. That would make endgame so much more fun.

People say this game is pay-to-win, but can't you buy weapons with cash? If you can't buy it, it's not pay-to-win. Even if I give you $10,000, I want a powerful weapon.

The ingame purchases for money does go through it takes a minute or so, but it goes to the players inbox and they gotta claim it, not just expect it to be added right away

Why anyone trusts something from Nexon is beyond me. Not touching this game because i know were its going to lead.

You can use a full sniper or heavy ammo build in general, there is a character called gley and one of her abillities is that for a certain period of time u dont consume ammo and theres a mod (which got nerfed but still good) named super senses which upgrade the duration time of skills and lowers cd if i remember currect? So u combine it which mods u can achive a full heavy ammo build. Altho it got nerfed and gley got nerfed she was the highest dps in the beta and if u make this build i believe she still is for hard mod

Granblue has 2 new bosses, one is Lucilius Zero where he decided to be blue at start

As a looter shooter main i would hold off on doing anything with any new game of this type cause a large majority fall under 2ish categories MMO style like Destiny/2 and Soulite like Remnants/2 (Borderlands stands alone as a massive scale singleplayer) If its an MMO style its probably gonna drip feed content slowly while selling everything in the currency shop like Wayfinder did If its a Soulite like Remnants then you got a "how much content does this have" problem , looter shooters are the most replayable types of games excluding pure PVP games but in a Soulite system like Remnants its difficult to do something diffrent inside the game , Remnants 1 and 2 did it correctly but still have points in the game were it feels same-y If Elden Ring had guns it would be sort of like Remntants 2 but the point is that you need Elden Rings scale to make it work

Its more like Destiny and Warframe. You have Sectors with interior Districts the Districts are not Connected to eachother and are separated by loading screens. Each District is open world but there really Isnt anything todo in them aside from the Missions. Closer to destiny but not, very different from even MMO's infact its more like Warframe If you want a more accurate Comparison. Mission based structure inside semi open boxed arenas. The Arenas are Large but its still an enclosed arena. After playing through the main story you primarily will never touch the arenas again instead hopping between Boss Grinding and doing "Special Missions" to earn lootboxes. You Open the lootboxes In the Boss Grinding Arenas. And repeat ad infinitum until you complete whatever goal you want. which is usually either Unlocking More characters Or Unlocking the special weapons to use in more grinding.

It's just boring and bad design. We've already achieved the gameplay apex of what TFD has to offer (and then some) 15 years ago with Lost Planet 2. Only, that game had a lot more to offer gameplay wise than TFD. We've found ourselves regressing when it comes to what gameplay has to offer, despite the engine library sets offering way more content and tools to create more interesting gameplay these days than ever before. Warframe also does the looter-shooter loops right by having a diverse set of gameplay that scales as you level up throughout the game. If TFD really wanted longevity they needed a better melee system for when the TPS gets boring (and after you unlock the right set of weapons and then have to start farming missions repeatedly to unlock mats, the combat gets extremely boring, as opposed to games like Warframe where the procedural level design and mix of melee + TPS kept things feeling fresh even when farming). Right now, once you hit the plateau in mid-game, you're just recyling a rather limited style of play over and over until you get to the next segment.

Fun fact-; The term Mobs has been around since the 80s and referred to a wave of enemies (a mob) attacking a player in a text based game. ^^; Sorry if this is weird to share, I just find things like this really interesting.

As anyone who has played can contest: *_Fuck that one shield boss that you have to shoot the small bots rotating in his shield._*

The lack of visual progression in a self proclaimed looter shooter really bothers me. One of the key factors of loot games is making your character look cooler over time with badass gear to show off to other players. That is the whole reason for town hubs. When you make the cosmetics mtx only it removes that aspect of the game. Not to mention they are not armor sets that you can transmog. They are just skins. So everybody is gonna either look default or have the same exact premium skins on. We already see this in game with the bunny skin. Destiny allows mixing and matching of armor sets which allows you to express yourself. This game just relies on cleavage to sell some bs skin. Soulless.

There are tons of games that do not have that. What you describe is wanting veterancy skins initially then just cosmetics based on equipped gear which is completely different. D4 has gear skins but it means literally nothing.

As someone who’s played Nexon games as a kid, it being a cash grab was the only way this game could’ve gone lmfao

For Melee, they characterized Sharen as a Melee Assassin (Well Close Range I guess), there is no melee in this game. I was so freaking disappointed. I wanted to use main melee damage but you can't. there are no melee weapons and everyone has the same 5 second melee CD.

You can get around the shield guys, you just need to use a skill and it will sort of stagger them. You can also shoot their feet in a lot of cases, and you can get up close and double jump over them and shoot down at their heads. It's a lot more ammo efficient to do any of these than to shoot their shields

@@samael8106 Yeah -- to TFD's credit, you can at least knock down bosses with it, too, and it's a good way to deal damage even if they have up certain shields. TFD has a lot of gameplay mechanics issues, but getting around the shielded dudes isn't the problem -- even though they are annoying and tedious to fight. There are a ton of other issues related to the unreliable grapple hook, the lack of proper melee combos/weapon usage, and the limited mobility.

everything you complain about are the very mechanics in both warframe and Destiny... so they are using proven track record mechanics. What will make or break the game is the progression, if it's a super grind then its over, as people have already invested in super grinds in the afore mentioned games. I personally after 4500 hrs in Destiny and 800 in warframe find this to be refreshing in that there is no DEI/woke content and that it's got a pleasing art direction, in HDR with ray tracing. it's eye candy every step of the way

I personally am worried cause its nexon who are known as the lowest of low charging lots of money for things that ain't even permanent and tend to love adding stats to cosmetics. However the game aesthetically looks amazing, so I can't wait to try it but rn I'm in Africa for another week

It's alredy a super grind. I'm working on the third descendant now, and only have one of three parts because while the drop rate for one part is 20%, I ended up running the mission a lot and never got that part, so I will have to keep grinding away until I do, and then I have to grind for the next part, and a few more after that. Basically the way it works is that Descendants are kind of level-locked, and at the Dead Bride you have to stop and go back and grind out sub-quests because if you play through normally you will have neither the weapons nor stats to beat that boss within the allocated time. So there are artificial stop-gaps to enforce grinding at certain points, whether it's for story/quest progression, or item/Descendant progression. Now, to their credit, they basically hand-hold you through unlocking Bunny, and once you do that they then expect you to start her individual quest line, which is made easier if you already have a level 20+ character with level 40+ weapons. I do like that the wepaons and gear are not level-locked, so it does make things a bit more bearable.

I agree that Choice Is King; more gameplay options and permutations are important for replayability and for avoiding making the main loop boring. Restricting build paths is good for the devs because it's easier to balance, but it also limits player choice which in turn hurts replayability and stifles player creativity. Loosening restrictions here would definitely allow more emergent gameplay to evolve, which is good but also requires devs to pay watch carefully for "that one balance-breaking build" so they can adjust balance appropriately. It's NOT an "Unreal problem", it's the art direction. Devs are just not actually moving away from the default lighting and post-processing settings. They're also not including enough variety in assets - the same four trees rotated and scaled are still the same four trees and you can't fool the players' subconscious into thinking otherwise.

I'm ngl so far I am enjoying it, there are few things that could be done better. But imma wait till I get past the "honey moon phase." To see if I really like it, I've unlocked 9 characters so far and most of them are pretty fun to play.

All the games, and all the MTX.

Servers have been rough. The few hours I have played was great. Curvy gals, kick-ass dudes, free to play, and fun. What more do you want?

Better gameplay mechanics? But you're right. The character designs are S+ tier. The guys actually look like they kick butt (well most of them), no DEI ridiculousness, and the women are extremely attractive and feminine. My biggest complaint is simply that it lacks the gameplay mechanics and technical depth of Warframe, so if someone is getting into both, Warframe definitely scales better the further you get into the game.

​@@Billy-bc8pkthe issue with warframe is it's even more boring than this. I'm MR 20+, haven't played in a while, but the game is too easy even in higher tier content. The module system is so broken and this is known, you just delete everything in warframe. The end game of warframe is just collecting cosmetic bullshit for your ship or your frames, it's not an engaging experience at all past a certain level. At first it's pretty fun, but it all comes to a head pretty quickly. Idk how you don't get burned out on Warframe.

@@305backup I stopped playing Warframe a decade ago. But even back then it had way more content than TFD. You could pull off some crazy cool moves similar to Gunz: The Duel, so I spent a lot of time learning how to wall-run plus dash-slash, or stuff like drop-down AOE stuns, and with elemental attacks and learning how to utilise the different combos with different weapons, I had a lot of fun learning the intricacies of Warframe thanks to its diverse melee and TPS mechanics, along with the elemental and status effect traits. Sadly, TFD has none of the scalability of Warframe since the grappling is kind of limited and not terribly intuitive during combat (it will oftentimes become more of a hindrance than a helper as mobs magically teleport around you), and the melee in TFD has practically no scalability whatsoever, so there's not much to do other than just stat-stack the highest DPS weapon and stick with that, which really takes away from the gameplay diversity.

I really had fun in the beta where they gave you things to try out and free currency , but looking at all the microtransactions in this, DAMN

People hate any game that has a store. Doesn’t matter if it’s $2 or $100. Try the game out and if you like it then it’s for you. Doesn’t matter if others hate it for the same stupid reasons they hate other games with skins. You’ll find a community in it, and enjoy with them. That’s all that matters.

My rule is - If you invest the full price of a normal game in a Free 2 Play game and don't get the same experience (so no more "debuffs" you can buy away) then it's ok. If you need more, it's a rip off and they try to scam you.

But other than the shop im having a lot of fun trying to make big brain builds and grinding to make it work. Currently trying to get Blair to level 40 to help with this OP boss. There def is a lot they can do to make the game better though

If movement and gameplay are a 9 on TFD then warframe is a 20, I don't know how they create a game 10 years after warframe came out and can't even come close to it in terms of mobility and gameplay. The melee needs a total rework, and the guns are unimaginative. Don't get me wrong, warframe when it came out was pure trash. And they added the parkour and melee combat later in a more fleshed out manner. But warframe didn't really have a competitor when it came out so it had time to build up. TFD has competitors and it should be able to rival them the moment it stepped out. I'm afraid by the time they might even come close to fleshing it out people will have dropped it. Most people that play it are people that have done everything in warframe and Destiny and are just waiting for new content to come out. I believe TFD will just be a secondary game people play while warframe and Destiny will be the main games.

depends really, as a new game in the genre with more simplified systems then warframe and destiny, I would recommend this game over destiny and warframe. its a good base for people trying the live service looter shooter. Warframe and destiny is not friendly to new comers and really hard to get into without a guide. I gave up on warframe personally myself. some people also like a simpler game too. on the plus side no one has to spend hundreds on destiny dlc either ( I'm one of the hardcore, spending thousands into destiny dlc and eververse over 10 years)

@@themobilegamer9897 I agree, I was lucky I got into a clan else I would have dropped wf too and a lot of people probably don't realize that they need to do that to actually learn from vets what they are supposed to do and just quit. It took me 3 years playing on and off to reach rank 30, took my 2 friends that finally gave it a shot 3 months to reach my rank as I was blasting them through the game. It makes a world of difference having someone explain the game to you and people probably prefer something simpler. But if you have a friend that plays warframe, I would definitely recommend warframe and keep TFD as a side game.

@@themobilegamer9897 Nah, Warframe is a game you can play for 100+ hours and still have things to unlock and do and discover; is the learning curve a bit steep? Yes. But there is a lot to do and learn and so it gives you a reason to play over a length of time. This game peaks at 20 hours and then it's just a repetitive grind-fest. Natsukashii hits the nail on the head with every bit of the critique.

100% agree with everything you just said. I was thinking the exact same thing as I was learning more as I was playing TFD. Once I figured out the loop for rapidly scaling power and dealing maximum DPS to cakewalk through the levels (up until the Dead Bride), I realised how shallow TFD is when it comes to its mechanics. The platforming is absolutely horrendous, and needs huge refinements to feel weighty and appropriate -- it's still using some weird, floaty Unreal physics. And you're right that the melee needs a total rework, as it's just not fun at all to use. Other than the graphics and beautiful character designs (especially the ladies), I have no real reason to recommend TFD over Warframe, as the latter just does everything from traversal and TPS engagement, to level design and combat diversity 100 times better. Plus, TFD copying Destiny with the infinitely respawning teleporting enemies is a massive step back from AI spawn closets.

Warframe's movement system is incredible, but it isn't for everyone. EIther you can take it, and it becomes the definitive selling point of the game, or you can't, and the motion sickness is enough to make you drop the game altogether.

Yeah I played the beta 1 and 2 one has to start back over everything's locked in I can only play on the weekends cuz I work during the week play coming up this weekend I'm going to be hitting that game hard as f*** It's been through two bettas and they're still having issues what did they do for the whole entire year after the second beta

Its WalMart Mass Effect. Its free, so they have to monetize somehow to keep the servers running, and the fact you can get items through gameplay instead of paying out is better than most other games.

They are frames you can trade not currency, but you can trade currency for items like if I have a warfare you want I can sell it to you for platinum in the first descendants. There is no trading not yet anyway I have a feeling until I find out whether or not they’re making enough money off of things selling in the cash app, they won’t introduce trading because trading might put a player to player trades might put it in, the cash app

"If the devs fix the issues" If one of the main complaints is that there are 9000 MTXs, the devs won't be addressing the issue they put there on purpose.

That's the thing. It is F2P. THey have to make money somehow and you can blame CoD for the prices. Operator packs are like $20 for just a skin. Same issue here. It is the same in everygame including Warframe. I played that for a while at launch and it was grindy AF. I spent hundreds on that game.

Unreal just easily lends to a certain type of art. To make it look more unique requires doing a lot more with shaders/vfx/lighting, and that costs time/money so they dont. Same reason why so many Unity projects have that super cell look to them.

The one thing I don’t think everyone understands about this game is it’s not pay to win all of the characters are unlockable even the ultimates it’s just a grind the microtransactions only consist of skins and weapon skins if you don’t buy it your not at a disadvantage

He wont like warframe. You require at least 2-3 years of blood sweat and tears to qualify for endgame. You are a god in endgame though.

I actually convinced my coworker and his friends who are die hard destiny players to try it and they are all at the endgame. It took them about 2 months of real time (A little over 100 hours in game). None of them are higher than MR16 but they do all the end game stuff on their own without me now (MR28)

Eh, maybe if you're determined to do it all solo with no guides and refuse to spend any money, or grind out some plat from other players. With a decent clan, or even just one or two helpful players you can fly through the early stages of the game.

@@midnightseraph2526 Let's see here: Find people to constantly play with you Watch guides Spend Money Learn the market so you trade with other players (in a game that limits how many trades you do per day based on Mastery mind you) Join a clan, but not just any clan a "decent" one (whatever that means for a new player) and THEN you can do the EARLY levels? So if a new player refuses to play the game like a new player then they won't struggle. I play warframe and my guy you didn't do it any justice with that whatsoever. It's a slog of a game that only gets better after 100+ hours and even then it doesn't reach its zenith until multiple hundreds.
