Fun fact about tarkus. I once had an invader hit just before i was going to take the boss on. and tarkus ran up and beasted the invader. Like downright curbstomped them before coming back with just minor scratches on him. He is the most powerful summon in the game i swear.

Man I had no idea Tarkus was so loved. I missed him in my first playthrough because I was Hollow so the only encounter I got from him was his armor, of which I used for the rest of the game. I love that armor set and I never even knew who the legend that wore it was. It was also around the time I got his armor that I started to use my one true love, Zweihandler.

the knights have clean parry windows, so it's not that hard. They're just really risky for less experienced players due to high damage before you've got some good levels and armor

@@oddball1999 Isn't the only offensive Miracle Lightning Spear in the first game? Of which you need 50 Faith to get access to? The only other reason I can think of that any poor fool would level faith other than for Heal is for Divine Weapons, of which their only real use is to keep the Skeletons down, but even a greatsword is enough to kill them once you hit your mid-game.

@@leoncoben6983 I think yer thinkin of sunlight spear. Lightning spear you can get early by joining sunbros and its pretty powerful. You can also get sunlight blade in anor londo. It is my least favorite build in ds1 tho because there are so few miracles

I just discovered this channel and "Rough 'em up, we're the knife triplets see?" Had me fucking dying lmao

Shenpai should consider herself lucky she didn't play this when it was first released, since when the game first came out, curses used to stack. So it would keep halving your max HP until you only had 1/8th of your original HP. This was obviously patched out. then there was the fact that Blighttown was so horrendously badly optimized, that it made the game render in single digit frames sometimes.

Higher level, more experience with the game, and basically knowing the fight considering I spent several grueling hours on my first run trying to beat them. Now in ds3 you’ll have to drink about eight estus before poison wears off but even then res is pretty dog poop. Also I’m baffled that you beat o+s so easily, that’s nuts man

My first Dark Souls experience was discovering how unfriendly bridges were in this series. My crowning last words: "Why does this bridge have scorch marks on it?"

The knife triplets already made ma all giggly but it was the "get him Fido" that absolutely destroyed me! What an amazing video! :D

I will point out that Summoning Tarkus for the Iron Golem is the correct way to do the boss fight. It makes you invested in this beast of a man, who crushed the golem in his world and then came to yours to do it again. So they can gut punch you when you find out what ACTUALLY killed him in Anor Londo. Gravity. His only weakness.

I am so happy to watch the streams for this vid. Cause I'm all like, "eeeeyyy I remember that part".

This is the most entertained I've been watching a Dark Souls game in a while (not that I watch a lot) but when I do, it's a great time, and this is one of the greatest yet, Iron Tarkus is a god damn champion.

Found this channel yesterday watching your Elden Ring content and loved it. Watching this now, John Ring makes alot more sense to me.

Watching Shen's gameplay brings back all the traumatic memories i have playing dark souls in college. Was so turned off by the game initially, but after playing for a couple of hours "something" clicked and it made me finish the whole game including the dlc..... with 216 deaths under my belt.

After playing all three DS games this is by far my favorite. Happy to see Shen getting into it!

DS1 remade with the gameplay of DS3 would be a dream come true for me

Got randomly recommended this video on my KZread home page and LOVE it! So fun to see the game through a first time player's eyes - and the commentary and editing is HILARIOUS

I love rewatching these vids now that ive actually played all the souls games. Its twice as funny when you know whats going on, why its going on, and whats about to go wrong in about 4 seconds when she opens that door or walks around that corner lol.

Okay that edit in the sped up Havel fight made me legitimately happy.

Its really entertaining seeing someone suffer through the same levels I’ve seen everyone suffer on. Not the first playthrough I’ve , but really enjoyed seeing your first experience to Dark Souls.

I've watched a lot of "first time playing Dark Souls" videos over the years and this might just be the best one I've seen. The editing was great and your "helpers" were a fu n addition. Looking forward to part two!

to see this, shen struggling, mastering the dark souls, and dropping in on the stream a day or so ago on youtube just out of curiosity and seeing her absolutely massacre the final boss of ds3/the twins (didn't see how many attempts it took her for twins, but final boss was one attempt) was fucking amazing. the absolute journey. all endings on ds3. Absolute legend shen, im so proud of you

Watching shen play this reminds me a lot of my first time playing the game before I became experienced at the dark souls series lol. It's very rough at first but once you get the hang of it everything comes together and the game becomes super fun :).

How is every video you put out an absolute riot?? This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite channels!

Even though i only stumbled across your vids the other day. I think these are the best souls playthroughs ive watched especially to your reactions and milkys commentry. Truly awesome!
