In 1992, the olympic committee board was looking for a host city for the 2000 Olympic Games. To promote their bid, Berlin sponsored the Mercedes AMG DTM Team for the 1992 season. In addition to the "BERLIN 2000" logos, the car was also adorned with the signatures of German sports stars including Michael Schumacher and Franz Beckenbauer. And by the way, the driver “Lohr” was Ellen Lohr - one of the very few ladies to compete in the DTM

Nice models with good details like the star and laurel hood ornaments. German racing Silver is perfect for these Mercedes. BTW I cut some of the notch off on those notched boxes to make them easier to open and they do still stay shut if you don't take too much of the notch away. I've accidentally ripped a couple of boxes before too.

I hate those boxes too. They piss me off! But nice set though. The old Mercedes cars are timeless, especially in silver.
