I could not agree with Martin Short more. If you want elegance or even just a bit more quality to your television viewing stop watching the shows that he mentioned and other shows in that genre. I could care less about the real housewives or who knows where and there pretend drama so they can have higher ratings. Similarly I could care less about keeping up with any of the Kardashian family. How about instead of being obsessed with these pretend celebrities you focus on yourself and your family to improve or address issues and concerns that you have. I was pleased that Martin Short also called out Anderson saying why are you watching that show? Anderson said he watched it for research so he could talk about it on this show, but he also agreed with Martin that there is a lack of "elegance" in those shows. well if you agree there is this lack of elegance in the shows, perhaps stop talking about them and maybe they will either improve or go away? If they get free publicity for the crazy stuff they do or say do you think they are going to stop doing it or saying it? No, they are going to ratchet it up to get more people like Anderson Cooper to talk about it and get more free publicity,

Anderson, has no vanity, ego, shame hell dignity. 9:23 perfect example, he just lies down on the floor on national TV like nothing. Now that is a real world person right there.

Bemoaning rude, anti social behavior like cussing out and threatening each other and a lack of manners and elegance seems outdated today. It’s become a way of life on Twitter and every other media outlet.

Anderson is a big fan of all the "Housewives" series, however, they are adults; Honey Boo Boo is a little girl. Would you really want to see him, (or anyone else) "picking" on a child? C'mon! Give your head a shake!
