Survivor 46, Episode 13
This groundbreaking show started a worldwide phenomenon, giving us seasons filled with epic challenges, blindsides, and alliances. Survivor: Borneo, where it all began, carving its place as a true legend in TV history!
Stranded in the beautiful islands of Fiji, the castaways are forced to adapt to their physical and social surroundings. The mental and physical challenges force players to choose between personal risk and reward while navigating the complex social game and attempting to forge alliances to last another day. The individuals competing are from diverse backgrounds with the same ultimate goal: to outwit, outplay, and outlast and ultimately be crowned Sole Survivor. Originating in 2000, the show pioneered a genre that has become a cultural staple as it garnered monumental viewership, starting conventions like confessionals, villains, and manipulated narratives. Emphasizing interpersonal dynamics, paved the way for subsequent reality hits, shaping the genre into a permanent part of American entertainment.

    That one comment from Charlie may have lost him Q and Venus. “Getting to the end” is a lot different than “Winning the game”.

    That jury is just full of petty hurt people. Charlie's social game wasn't as good as kenzies. Even if we, the audience, sees and hears everyone's confessions, they don't. And if they're hurt from a game move because the other person went back ok their word, that's part of the game too. Jury management is part of the game and from the way maria, Charlie's number 1, didn't vote for him, it's obvious his social game wasn't very good.

    Charlie been playing really-really well but got too over shadowed by Q and Maria to feel like it's what really happened His keeping options open paved a way for him to get to the end, but it also puts a persona that his also just an option (not really a clear contender to win - until they saw the edit or further talked about it)

    It did leave a bad taste in people's mouth. Liz should've counted her own plank and then told Kenzie the number. Now people confuse about where we draw the lines of helping other people on individual immunity challenge.

    "Individual immunity" that wasn't won by an individual. Survivor has gotten sooooo lame when you can team up in an INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY. TERRIBLE!

    Hunter is incredibly dumb from what he said to Charlie in the end. 1. Why in the world would someone choose to make fire? You place a risk on yourself and can hurt your odds of advancing yourself. 2. Why is there an associated risk for not making fire and getting to the final 3? 3. "Getting to the end" as Charlie shared, was his strategy and then what is next? To win. How does "making fire" argue as a winning strategy? It does not; all it does is make you do a challenge and grab attention. Two things Hunter enjoys.

    The fire making is only good on the Survivor resume if it's used to take out the person most likely to win the game. Liz was never going to win the game, so it was pointless for Charlie to take on that risk. Charlie made this point, but it got lost in his conversation with Hunter.

    @DSP_2.0 it is still silly, in my opinion, that the final immunity challenge winner gets no credit for placing a "big threat" with another threat in fire and gets shat on.

  • @DSP_2.0

    @DSP_2.0

    @@hannadamarjian I agree, but one of the problems is no one has successfully argued against that. The fire making challenge has been romanticized as a final showdown between the top players of the final four. So, the final immunity challenge isn't an immunity challenge, it's winning the right to call out who you believe is your top competition to a duel of sorts.

  • @hannadamarjian

    @hannadamarjian

    Ай бұрын

    @DSP_2.0 yeah; I agree with your perspective. The other issue is that it is allowed for the final immunity challenge winner to put themselves into fire. That rule is what makes the final immunity challenge not for immunity but for power; in other words, the power to assemble two competitors (including yourself) in fire. Take out the final immunity challenge winner as a possible contender, and now you have a more balanced way of eliminating a contender. By allowing the final 4 immunity challenge winner to put themselves in fire, everyone focuses only on that player and sharing "they made a mistake" if they do not compete. It is absurd. No mistakes were made; you just want to give credit for someone who can beat someone else in fire but not to the immunity challenge holder.

    Kenzie would have put herself against Liz. Come on. I don’t buy it. She would put Charlie verses Liz. Assuming Charlie would win. She would have the best chance then.

    I don’t get why hunter said that Charlie fell off those last 2 tribals. That is truly when Charlie earned his spot in the final. He sent home Marias shield which was Q and then he sent home his number 1 who had previously tried to send him home. Some of this jury is just plain delusional and quite bitter.
