It is interesting that Niz and Ramana began teaching around the same age, may I guess 36 - 37, but Ramana sat for twenty years before teaching and after having had realization, while no such thing was the case for Niz, who seems to have begun teaching soon thereafter. Yet, I would not conclude that Ramana's realization was deeper, or twenty years worth of deeper. How can that be understood? Didn't Niz feel the need to test his realization over time before commencing teaching? Or, was it obvious to him that he can ask the questions immediately? How can two men have similar realization, yet one feels the need to sit for two decades, while the other sets up shop, so to speak, immediately? I do not recall ever hearing a story about Niz's realization, but the one about Ramana is very well-known; I find that odd as well. Why is there no elaboration whatsoever of Niz's epiphany? His master was dead by that time and could not have authenticated him, of course. He went on selling beedies and did not go to any temple.

Shortly before his physical death, Nisargadatta Maharaj remarked that someday his teachings on the nature of spiritual enlightenment and truth realization would be understood scientifically. Thanks to recent developments in modern physics, that day is now. See the Science and Nonduality website: scienceandnonduality.wordpress.com/2020/05/24/what-is-real/ or read the PDF document: scienceandnonduality.files.wordpress.com/2020/06/what-is-real-2.pdf

It does not require any arrogance--nor is it elitist--to simply know that it is because of scoffing, ridicule, etc., that Wisdom is made evident and prevails in the relationship in a yin-yang sense. That is just a general response to any kind of defamation or vulgar rejections that are often a form of skeptical cynicism without investigation combined with self-protective paranoia, which leads to a circular, (samsara) form of confirmation bias. Healthy and useful skepticism is based on open investigation, the rest is nonsense. A scoffer who has little or no idea what they are rejecting is not a worthy opponent in a discussion on a given topic in my opinion and to entertain that is to no avail, but it can be a very poignant reminder of how we have and can do that ourselves which reveals self-censoring and the "ignoring" aspect of our ignorance.

It’s not nice according to societal standards you mean. It’s not nice for you and me to talk like this. Nissargadatta Maharaj is not here to please us or protect our feelings. He himself is not an individual but the universal consciousness speaking to us and if needed aggressively cutting our ego and ignorance. The effects of even his “rude” intense words is like a lightning bolt removing ignorance!

I appreciate that you're putting this on KZread, and my suggestion is to slow down and create bigger pauses in between the questioner and the answers. It's a little bit too fast for me to track and it's a little hard to tell where the question ends and the answer begins. Otherwise great job and I hope you keep it up!
