We are children of the djembe, somehow along the way we all found Mamady Keita,who became the the mentor,the teacher,the father,the inspiration of our experience. I am a Chinese live in Canada, had the fortune to meet Mamady in 3 different occasions. The experience of playing djembe has been great, thank you Mamady.

Such beautiful eyes, shining his beautiful, bright soul. So sad when someone like him passes away. We only have condolence knowing that he left an amazing legacy in this world and took roots in the hearts of many. RIP master ❣️🌠💖🙏

Oh I didn't know he died until I came across this video. I had just watchied one of his past performances with a Japanese ( can't remember the name) a few days ago that both performed in Japan. So sad. My condolence to his family.
