I've been in therapy for 20 years. Lost my medicaid last year so I can no longer afford to go, plus I'm off my medication. I just pray now & I'm hanging in though I really can't wait for the next reality. I hope this girl freezes her eggs if she is certain she wants children some day. For me motherhood was the most sacred experience in my life.

erikunixarias why do people think adoption has anything to do with having a baby? It’s two totally separate things in my heart & mind.. That comment really is insensitive

Incredible, I was crying almost all the time. There is another option - to choose different country with lower prices for egg freezing, I just don’t get why nobody think about so called medical tourism. While it is much more affordable procedure in my country, I’m still hesitating on what to do, because hormones affect fibroids which I have and I’m 35+ to do this

I'm 39yrs turning 40 in another 7-8 months. I haven't even met the right one & don't know when I will. Not willing to settle for less just for the ticking clock. Really contemplating the risks of getting my eggs frozen now vs going natural. By God's grace, I have healthy menstrual cycle & lifestyle. On one side, I do desperately want to have a legacy for my genes, on the other hand I don't want to risk my health by freezing eggs, which at this age may or may not have success either. Should I just trust in God & be positive if God blesses me with babies naturally? If not, I'll adopt. My PCP will be referring me to the fertility clinic tomorrow. I'm leaning towards not getting my eggs frozen. Any advice?

@@SG-xb7dewell it’s not generally recommended to do egg freezing later than 37, instead you can freeze embryos. But for this you need a donor’s sperm. If you really ready to be single mom by choice than go on, and for this you may use different option of assisted reproductive technologies like insemination, it doesn’t require hormonal stimulation.

This is an absolute Frankenstein nightmare! Life was never meant to arise out of the cyrogenized depths of a sterile laboratory. Instead of undermining the natural order of the universe, perhaps we should encourage the healthy union of adults in their reproductive prime.

keefn8 have you heard of preschool to prison pipeline? You can’t look at one problem with no regard to other problems ... there are communities depleted of (only kids & geriatrics) men, add to that the numerous dating/marrying other than their own community. Etc it’s not her fault! Many Black women are single.

She has wealth? How did you figure that? & you think something is wrong? Newsflash women that are ‘all that’ are usually picky. Why do you think it’s the average/ plain and homely looking women that are usually taken? Or women with no ambition? lol. Women aren’t like men. Even the fattest woman has more options than the average man. So if a woman is single it dosent mean something is wrong with her. It means she’s picky. 😴

Elephant in the room is why doesn't she get a man? Or develop the traits that high quality men look for in women? Kevin Samuels would help her big time. If she put as much effort in her job as she did in finding a man, she'd already have a kid.
