Yeah. That’s legitimately a different trick. I’d call it a kickflip Late body varial. It’s ok they counted them as equivalent, but they’re two observably different things. For that matter: As body varials are the opposite of shuvs, ...and late shuvs are categorically different from shuvs, ...then Late body varials in general are categorically different from body varials (and a fairly unexplored category of trick I bet we’ll eventually see some deeper exploration of)

@@frozennorth3426 technically alex did a kickflip body varial and jamie did a kicklip sex change..a sex change is when the body rotates opposite of the flick or scoop, body varial is just any body rotation from a board at any position...like you can ollie body varial but it would be a late body varial...that trick is just a body varial...

Was I surprised to see those two in the final? No. Am I still happy to see the Battle? Yes.

In my eyes Alex landing the Double Dolphin Flip on defence really stunned Jamie causing him to lose abit of his flow. Really good performance from both of them, it could of gone either way 👍

I mean Alex finished with a bunch of tricks he knew Jamie couldn’t do, that’s the thing about games with people who have such specialized trick selection. If Jamie would have just done front foot impossible variations or grape flip type tricks, he would have won.

Honestly it blows my mind that dude is pro. The majority of the tricks he’s done have been flipping on the ground. He does flatground tricks like you’d expect from a 12-year-old

The inward heelflip by Decunha at 8:10 looks more like a pressure flip than a heelflip

yeah a lot of people do them that way... hardflips too.. Seems that the popular opinion is that one cares how you made it flip that way as long as it flips correctly. I think this should matter in a game of skate for sure but again, popular opinion wins. Elis Frost does his tres with his back foot only, almost like an underflip.. they are still considered tre flips.

@@noobg6908 i can do both, and this is definitely an inward heel. No one will do a pressure flip with the front foot on "heel flip side". Pressure flip is done using only your back foot so your front foot needs to get out of the way.

@@SanderVandeWiel i know the difference between a inward heel and a pressure flip,but i also know when someone is cheating a inward,in order to do a inward heel your heel needs to flick in the nose,if you are flicking down theres no way you can manipulate your board with your front foot wich means all the rotation is being made by the back foot wich means its a pressure flip,if you see the video in slow motion you will see that his front foot doesnt manipulate the board in any way so thats a pressure,anyway this game is not that competitive so thats fine

Wow!! That was a great game. I honestly thought Jamie, was gonna win but Alex killed it. That Half Cab Cancel flip was insane. I can’t wait for the Jamie and Giger game of Skate, I’m sure he was taken notes.

when I see this, I feel like this guy gonna makes it... it's so worse that berra put these against each other first! Wou.d be way cooler if they both had a chance to go further! Like for real, they should shuffle the starter list randomly, that would be way fairer! I actually always thought they do that, instead they just decide by himself who plays against who. Like this, they easely can influence a whole lotta lot! That's not ok I M O.

Ngl those two playing each other is always so sick because they know they can go ham on each other. I've said Jame could win the Berrics, so could Alex. That was an amazing game!!! It was a true pleasure to see Jamie out there playing someone a game of skate finally! I could watch those 540 big spins all day! Alex killed it too obviously! Not just 1, but 2 dudes landing a double dolphin in a game of skate!!! 🙌 huge fan of both of these guys!

That was some susasf refereeing, one guy called to redo a 90° spin twice on defence, but the other gets away with 540 shuv instead of 540 pop shuv... Other than the refereeing, it was a good game of skate to watch 👍

I think Alex’s trick was technically an anti big inward heel. We know it’s an anti spin because the board does a 180 and the body does a 360 in the same direction. And the heel is technically inward because it flips in the same direction as the spin. Pretty nuts. Especially first try wtf

i am thinking more than the tricks was a lotti spin (as you described) with a heelflip aka Cole Flip because C.Cole did it on the stairs in "Palais de Tokyo" in Paris, maybe in the zero new blood, i am not sure of the video

yeah they absolutely should've counted that. its a ridiculously hard trick and his land was comfortably within the defensive margin of error.
