I wish that they can do like this again in Winter.

An impressive video. I hadn't realised that they'd resorted to putting a class 57 on the back. Redundant weight for the Black 5 to have haul up Beasdale bank along with the 7 mk1 coaches. I was a volunteer in the 80's on this line with another black 5 along side the K1 2005. Great days - miss it very much.

ambell I presume that was for carriage heating as there was no steam leaks.

Fair point considering the time of year. Traditionally this service ran April to October (in my day). It's good to see the service after all these years is going very strong. What was a tentative start in 1984 has become very popular over recent times (Harry Potter effect obviously). The Lochaber area is a very beautiful region indeed. May the steam service never cease.
