The Fender American Ultra Series • Wildwood Guitars

Музыка

To say that Fender guitars are iconic mainstays of American popular music would be the understatement of the century. Try to imagine blues music without the quack of the Stratocaster, or country without the twang of the Tele, or indie music without the bite and chime of a Jazzmaster. It’s hard to do, isn’t it? Fender guitars are so closely interwoven with the DNA of American music that it seems like they have always existed. On stages and studios across American, they have remained a steadfast constant, but the Fender story is also one of change. Leo Fender wasn’t a musician, so he constantly asked his guitar-pickin’ friends how he could improve his guitars to make them play and sound better. Heck, he even pushed back the launch of the Stratocaster for a year because his play-testers didn’t like his original vibrato unit!
Though the shapes and pickup configurations have stayed mostly the same, each modern Fender is the product of almost seven decades’ worth of refinement. We’re proud to present the latest evolution of Leo’s classic designs: the Fender American Ultra series. These guitars have been hot-rodded to provide discerning modern players with an unparalleled playing experience. With their insanely fast necks, brand-new Ultra Noiseless pickups, and sleek contoured bodies, the American Ultra guitars below provide incredible playability, comfort, versatility, and tone. We are proud to present the latest evolution of the American Fender, and we know they will inspire you to reach new heights on your musical journey.

Hi, I'm looking at the HSS ultra. Goal is to get sounds like alchemy Sultans of Swing, Pink Floyd pulse, Eric Johnson cleans and solos from the FM9 MK II turbo You get the trend. All while having the option of a nice humbucker. I am confused with all the reviews saying that hot pickup and the split don't deliver that classic strat sound that well and I should get a non-hot pickup SSS. Please suggest guys

Are the necks too thin though??? I've got a American pro Strat and wouldn't really want to go thinner with the neck but sometimes think the access to higher frets on the ultra would be a bonus in the modern world

Have to play one of these. In all the videos I've watched, the new pickup seem to have an artificial [almost digital] brightness to them. There's more top end than the Noiseless 4 series but it sounds artificial. But, love the Ultra/Elite series.

@@lueysixty-six7300 Fender declined when Greg told them he wanted the Fishman Fluence pickups on his signature guitar. Reverend makes it in Korea. I don't mind that its made in Korea, but I think $ 1,500 price tag is a bit high. I've been watching them on Reverb.com. Some places are reducing the pricing a bit. You can get the Fishman Fluence Greg Koch "Gristle-Tone" Signature Tele set which includes the pickups and the control assembly for $350. They're active pickups with rechargeable battery.

Its about time Fender catches up with the rest of the planet and gives us a contoured heel joint! But it's still behind the pack. And that you reserve it for only your $3000+ AUD "Ultra's" ...is just such a cheap shot! It's blatantly f**king with us to justify charging us even more! It's really rude. We're not F#*#wits - I wish they wouldn't treat us that way. They get that much money from us each, they should at least treat us straight, and with some respect. Y'know???! Peeps! What do y'all reckon? P.S. Just so you know, I'm a buy-a guitar/ year (at about MIM price and standard) kind of customer; maybe something like an American Professional (just the starting MIUSA one, not the Ultra or anything) maybe once a decade or two. And..I have been seriously thinking about abandoning Fender for good. Sorry, this is just the truth - I hope someone from Fender reads this and takes the sentiment seriously...I have a good 3 Fender models I'd quite like to get in future aquisition days (Jaguar, Tele deluxe and Meteora )... But looking at literally any and every other brand...they all pack sooo much more value into their gear. And the heel joint has become a real sticking point for me. It would cost you pennies to change it - and it would improve all of your lines out of sight! We understand that you are holding that feature back so you can justify selling the same guitar to us for twice the price (Ultra). Well, all that is achieving in my demographic is a) resentment b)We aren't looking to upsell to the Ultra so we can get the improved heel...we are looking to alternative brands who offer all their great tech at from their entry level guitars! I'm thinking Ibanez from the top of my head here. Those who would pay top dollar for top shelf still will. We'll just all feel a little bit less insulted, and walk away from the deal not feeling quite as dirty...)
