The Fear of Success - How To Overcome the Mental Blocks that hold you back from your Fitness Goals

Losing fat, building muscle, and achieving your health & fitness goals should be a simple and straight forward process. But unfortunately most people end up self sabotaging their own success.
While they may start off with the best of intentions and see some initial progress, it's usually short lived before they fall off the rails and resort back to their old habits.

This was really encouraging guys. I got out of shape in my mid 30s and basically stopped caring. I committed to my health about 5 years ago and now at 46 I am in the best shape of my life. I totally relate to what you guys said about the mindset and habits, that was the game changer. I hired a local trainer this year that really has taken me to another level. I have been following you for years Lee I always appreciated your perspective and approach

Love your content Lee. I've actually been a follower of yours since 2010. Your ideas in training, diet, and exercise as pretty much formed the foundation of how I have trained since then. Sometimes I think I overthink my training. I always feel like I'm doing things wrong or feel I'm missing out. I've watched your latest video and you said something that seemed wise to me. You were talking about how true wisdom is more about taking away information that doesn't seem to serve you. There is so much contradictory information on the internet. Lately, I've been interested in the concept of exercising every day. I came up with this because I always hear about the legendary "farmer's strength". Farmers basically engage in low-level physical activity every day and they don't overthink it. I'm thinking maybe that would be a more natural or holistic form of training. Would you happen to have any insights on this? Always appreciate your sensible approach to training. KZread needs more content provders like you.

Thanks for sharing your comments and feedback, glad you enjoy the content that I've shared over the years. As for daily exercise, that's fine. But you need to work within your body's recovery abilities. I personally do weight training one day and cardio the next. By doing this I get to "exercise" everyday, but not over train and burn myself out in the process.

@@TotalFitnessBodybuilding Thank you Lee for the response. I love that by the way the fact you do weight training one day and cardio the next. I think that is a great dynamic. I also have taken up cycling like you have. I enjoy it more than running for cardio.

It's amazing how social pressure from friends can let things like slide out of control. Congrats on getting control over your drinking 👏
