I think everyone forgets about Paimon tho- She was there since beginning and never asked for anything in return. She is even helping traveler to go through the whole Teyvat even tho she gains nothing from it. Paimon is the best!

@@andrepanyanwen yes but the whole Teyvat never helped the traveler. The abyss twin said that when the traveler reaches the end of the journey he will see the true nature of this world. I’m sure that lumine means that Teyvat is cruel since the archons were summoned by Celestia to destroy khaenriah. Plus Teyvat’s gods has the names of demons. The unknown God’s name is asmoday which represents the demon asmodeus, Andrius is named after andras. Guoba is the demon marchosias. Makoto’s title is also the name of a demon. Paimon too.

Then in the end they'll team up and take down Celestia and paimon is actually a servant of the unknown god to make aether travel even tho she know where lumine is. Personally, the archons dont deserve the title of anything. sure they want to move on, at least the current two but with celestia it seems more dangerous than the game may let on. The archons also give away their gnosis' so easily to the fatui. Celestia seems to be evil in a sense anymore and that is a possible reason why we're even in this world anyway. Erosion has been coming for the older archons but maybe thats what celestia wants by replacing the older archons with newer ones. (Just an opinon not a theroy.)

There's def more going on though. I've heard from others that Venti was defending Mondstadt from Durin when Khaenri'ah was attacked and that Ei was also defending Inazuma from the surge of monsters, while Makoto went and died. I don't know about Zhongli, but we know from the recent Chasm quest that there was also a surge of monsters, coming from the Chasm.
