Didn’t they also remove all the ponds beneficial bacteria ? Will the pond have to recycle itself? I’ve always been told not to use tap water to clean the filters and skimmer box because you’re actually removing the beneficial bacteria. I love the video, just a couple of questions. You have a very beautiful pond and they did an excellent job cleaning it. My only advice would be to use a sock net for removing the fish. Those regular nets may harm the fish like the little one that was caught in the net. Great video thanks for sharing

Great question! Even if you tried you would not be able to remove all the bacteria from the pond. It is important to use dechlorinator when you refill not just for the fish but also for your beneficial bacteria. A chemical like chlorine that is present in the tap water will harm your ecosystem. Great advice with the sock net. Thanks for watching.

yes the bacteria is now complete gone and if any is left is way to little and weak to actually cycle the tank , this type of work is only tail chasing , you will end up hiring them monthly wich is the end goal. that pond if taken care properly you should never need to power washed ever , and should be crystal clear by the amount of surface area the rocks offer . but if you are constantly doing 100% water change and powerwash everything is guarantee you will be a payrool for them and a headache for you .

Jesus Christ! Are your fish OK? That was terrible handling of your fish. That net is not good for obvious reasons (well perhaps not as obvious since they're using it). Professionals use a sock net. Then to make it worse, he tossed(literally tossed) those poor fish on top of each other in the one net. Those fish are to be supported under their bellys when transferring them which is another reason the sock is required. I've never seen anyone pile koi in a net like that b4...always one at a time. It's a no wonder one got its fins caught in the net...I'm shocked more didn't. Did you thoroughly check that poor guys fins? I'm sure there was some damage. Wow. I'm sorry. I mean no disrespect to you whatsoever. Forgive me if I offended you as it wasn't my intention. I'm a animal lover and it pisses me off when I see one mistreated...especially by "Professionals". Apologies for the rant.
