I own one of these Dualtron storms and I haven’t gone over 45mph. That’s pretty crazy! I usually cruise at around 25-30. Love the acceleration though. Gets up all the steepest hills with ease

You need to be a good rider to go this fast. 30 mph is not scary for me at all because I ride in good road conditions. I have been reaching up to 40 mph in good road condition.

Ripping through school zones on a scooter, I love it. I find myself going too fast for conditions son my eagle one, it would be so easy to do on that one. I’d love for nami to send you a scooter for a comparison.

He can go as fast as he want, as long as no cops around. I lived in Australia. I reach up to 46 mph (74 km/h) when no cops 🚓 and no speed cameras around!! I don't get any caught yet!!

The first thing I noticed is that this Storm had a damper, second I noticed that you seemed to enjoy you ride slot. Something tells me that you will be buying this scooter in the near future. If you do a smile will stay on your face for some time.

I got an emove touring, I'd say it's average max speed is around 22mph. I want faster

Ok you know what, I finally took my storm out for a ride in rocky point Tampa Florida, it was amazing and then a few days later in Venice beach Los Angeles and I have to say that we are roughly the same weight yet I could not get my scooter up to the speeds you reached. I also noticed though that my battery does not reach the 84.1 volts that minimotors told me it would reach. It only reaches 83.3. This could be detrimental. That 1 bolt maybe more than you think it’s worth. Yeah I reached no speeds close to this. I’m with all the settings maxed out lucky to hit 50 downhill and a steep downhill.

My question is safety. I've seen videos that basically tell me I'm sooner or later going to crash. I've seen commercials where a dummy placed in a car going only 20 mph hits a wall and inside that car the dummy is thrown for a loop. Looks painful if a human went through that same test. So what happens to the human body going 60 hitting a road in a scooter crash?

I figured as much but the closest thing I got to a motor cycle in my youth was. Honda Trail 90. Loved that little sucker but that's my experience and I doubt it could hit sixty. I'd get a scooter to run errands, grocery shop, go to the coffee shop etc, speed isn't the number one item I think I need. Hill climbing ability, weight to get it up a long flight of stairs, range to get to the next town over, then last on my needs list is speed. As a general rule I'm never n a rush cause that's the way I like it.

@@jimquinn799 ultra-fast stand-up scooters can work as a loophole in countries (states) where there's no law for them (unlike the license and tax requirements for motorbikes), and the cops don't have the laws to seize them either. I would also assume they're more portable, but I doubt it; for that speed, they're just as heavy as electric mopeds (e.g. 65 kg).

I'll never understand why RK9 rides with no gloves ESPECIALLY riding anything from the dualtron brand. One slip and his hands are gonna look like mence meat

Did you have the performance level settings high and was that the fastest it go i belive you could have got 70.on a windy day not a good idea.

Slow down back to 15 mph when you see police officer and police car. If no police officer, no police car and no speed camera around, then you can go much faster!!!

I got a Varla Eagle one, I don’t even go past 25mph let alone the whole 40 it says it can go. I’d love to ride one of these one day but I think what I have is plenty. 😭

Dude!!! going that speed down roads with intersections is a recipe for disaster. People on those roads are expecting drivers to be moving at 35mph. They'll pull out on you thinking you're only going 30-40mph only to find out that they misjudged your speed. On a scooter, that car is gonna win and you're going to be tomato soup on the road. Wear gear and find a safer road for that. Most deadly motorcycle incidents occur in in-town roads with intersections. Honestly, this thing is more motorcycle than scooter.

These people for one can't hear you, cant see you (even during the day) and they damn surr arent anticipating you to be doing 55mph on a scooter so their brain is naturally going to automatically think scooter = 25mph MAX, LOL. The guys I roll with are on all the big dog scooters and we're all FULLY GEARED UP like were on motorcycles. Old man once told me. Don't prepare for the ride, prepare for the slide!

Also, after having one for a month now with speeds capable in excess of this one. It is MOST DEFINITELY more motorcycle than scooter. Hopefully, they dont regulate these things.

I would suggest some protection on the head, knees, elbows and hands... Going 70mph on the highway, having had a few close calls with cars and semi's 🤣 I got this sort of baby, the only thing I need now is a personal jetpack...

If you're going to go at those speeds then you probably should be wearing motorcycle protective gear, including gloves, elbow and knee pads, and a real moto helmet.

I’m eccentric. I argued with dualtron last night saying if it does not perform like a storm it is not a storm anymore. If a car is given the ltd title it’s leather interior or gps hood sound system, its accessory upgrades not functionality. So basically if they do not accept my refund request I’m still going 50mph which is fast enough for me, but I have to know that the ltd is out there and it puts my regular version to shame roughly for the same price.

The scenery is beautiful where is this place.

The main problem with this scooter is the throttle is too dangerous. It kind of locks your trigger finger In place and frequently coupled with the torque forces you to accidentally hit the throttle which leads to imo crashes. I’ve had many close calls. I think scooter manufacturers should rethink the eye throttle. I know rion has a good solution and perhaps if I can I’ll buy their throttle and connect to to my storm. I honestly got to the point tonight where I was too nervous to punch it and set it at “2” happy to cruise around at 24mph. Mind you I do not even get what the manufacturer suggests is a top speed. I’m topping out at 46mph. Thank god though these things are dangerous. Definitely not like an ebike.

If you travel over 40 mph, you need to wear a lot of protection such as a motorcycle helmet. A motorcycle helmet is the most important one to protect your head.

The fastest scooter speed that I have gone is 45 mph. It feels quite scary, but if road conditions are good and also a good rider then here we go!!
