As a fellow equestrian, no hate when i say this, but you would really benefit riding in a closed arena and going back to basics. (Equitation, Balance, Coordination, etc.) Please for your safety and the horse's consider this.

No hate but put your hands down and use a less strong bit because that one is too strong

Maybe move down a gate and focus on trot, your seat is no where near good enough to canter. You are yanking on the horses face and are not able to hold the reigns right.Push your heels down and lower your hands . Try to keep your body still. And try to find a different trainer. I feel like you are being rushed into canter. you’re a beginner and you are still learning but for your safety and the horse’s safety please listen . I love the color of your shirt and your horse is so pretty. ❤️

That is absolutely NOT the fastest horse. Also, PLEASE PUT YOUR HANDS DOWN! Don't canter if your not ready, and zero hate, as someone who's been riding for 4+ years I will say, I'm not perfect but i didn't canter till I PERFECTED the trot.

Not trying to be rude, but you need to actually learn how to trot before cantering you look like you’re gonna fall off and I don’t want that to happen to you

You need to perfect ur trot before canter. You’re not ready for canter yet

I hate to be that person, but you should absolutely NOT be cantering. Your equitation is... well, bad and you are clearly not ready. You cantering is like an accident waiting to happen. And it WILL happen if you keep this up. Your seat is not good, your heels are up, your arms are flopping around and you are all over the place. Your core isn't strong enough and you seem to have zero control. You're not even holding the reins properly. I'm not trying to be mean but as a riding instructor, it pains me seeing people doing things they are not ready for. Riding is dangerous. I'm a professional, been riding my whole life and I'm currently in bed with a broken rib and a concussion. Riding isn't something you should be messing around with like this. You need to go back to the very basics. Learn about posture, how your body should be positioned in the saddle and stay at the walk and trot for a few months. Practice, practice, practice. And then eventually, you will get to the canter. Attempting to canter now will do you no good. Not only will you develop bad habits and possibly find yourself injured sooner or later, but you are also hurting your horse.

Nobody here is hating. People are just looking out for her because none of us want to see her injure herself badly. We are not haters. We are experienced people who want her to be safe.

You shouldn’t be riding. You have your reins up too high and your hands are going everywhere

You should slow down to a trot because you’re ripping out that horses face use a bitless bridle if you’re trying to canter, and you move your hands that much, also put your hands down, heels down, and don’t sit back as much that’s telling the horse to slow down, get more core strength and balance before cantering again and loosen those reins!
