Just to clear up confusion, a lot of the 3-5 hour World Record launch times were using bugged mob hyperspawns. This happens every expac launch, and then it gets nuked by Blizzard. It's not worth discussing and you shouldn't try to replicate it yourself. That being said, even with launch day delays I still managed to get to 85 in 10 hours and 44 minutes, so I'm happy with the consistency of this route.

Cata is when leveling generally became a lot more straight forward, no weird tricks or shenanigans just quest in appropriate zones with maybe some specific points of efficiency. But knowing where those points are is pretty handy.

I went to the water zone and my buddy went Hyjal.. he was 81 when I was 35% in and I was moving decently quick. I'm def doing this guide next time.

Reached 85 with my Protpally. I had a good dungeon group with my guild. Sometimes we went leveling for reputation tabards. We were a bit slow cause the mates had something to do in RL 😂 After 15 hrs we were done. Wotlk was a bit harder imo from 70-80 at release.

Great video! My only issue with the CoC in the highlands is that every time I join a group we just sit around waiting for another group to start their quests. I still haven't been able to do it and I feel as though it wasted a lot of my time just waiting for nothing.

Yea, it's a bit of an annoying quest chain to complete right now when it's overcrowded. It's certainly efficient XP though, so if you're not in a rush and are willing to wait it's still worth doing.

it would hav been nice to know what do you think about vashjir as a druid. considering the swimming form seems to be as fast as the mount and saves you a lot of casting time. at least in the first zone. i still don't like vashir even in my druid but i can easily say t hat i finished kelp thar forest with my druid WAAAAY faster my friend "playing next to me" finished it in his rogue. i assume it's not too worth it as an argument though because it only applies to druids. oh yea and while we are on it what about the flighting mount argument, is hyjal for new players better even if they have cheap flying mount ?

Hyjal would likely be a bit slower in general with a worse mount, but I still think it would outpace Vashj'ir. As for the druid question, yes, that's the best class for leveling in Vashj'ir. No, it's still not a faster zone for druids. Most of the time loss comes from RP which is the same for everyone. Also druids are just the fastest leveling class in general, there are multiple spots within Mount Hyjal where they can save a lot of time with flight form.

@@Harldan1 i see, the speed of leveling in vashjir , as a druid. compared to my warrior who leveled in hyjal. it is probably because quests took forever whie li wait spawns and shit.

7 hours on atiesh. All the realm firsts to 85 were done.

Week one has been a blast! Got 85 the morning of day 2 and started heroics! Questing out the zones and maxing all of the reputations minus Tol Barad within a few days.

How long it takes to reach level 1-85?

Yup, that's one of the main things I'll be focusing on after Cata Launch stuff is finished. It will require a ton of additional testing, and I won't be posting my guide until I'm 100% sure I've found the fastest route.

@@Harldan1 Was just curious. I don't focus on leveling as absolutely quick as possible but having a loose idea of what's best mixed in with whatever I feel like doing is preferable. One of my buddies just swears by dungeon queues lol.

@@lens_hunter dungeon queues are a good way of levelling in cata tbf but if the queues are taking a few min it’s even better to quest inbetween

I loved to be in sethekkhalls from 70-75+ anyone tested how fast halls of stone leveling is? (as tank)

I think the underwater zones are easier now then when cataclysm was released because we have had ALOT of experience with flying mounts and vertical environments but unless your a skinnier i agree mount hylja would be best.

Oh they're easier for sure, and I don't actually mind Vashj'ir as a zone. Personally I love the underwater vibe and I enjoy the quests there (outside of Abyssal Depths which is pain). It's just a matter of quest efficiency and time loss due to long RP segments.

Exploits. Hyperspawn quest mobs that gave xp. It’s been fixed.

With a solid group, dungeon leveling is more than viable 80-85. We did BRC until 82, Stonecore until 84, and all 85 dungeons once for quests + finished with Tolvir spam minus the 2 last bosses. Roughly 10h30m played total.

To be fair, I did mention this in the video. I did a test run with a premade group that had optimized gear and communication, and as I said, it matched my Hyjal leveling times. That being said, the time drops drastically if you're pugging, especially with a pug tank. For the average player dungeon leveling will be "viable", but it will still be notably slower than questing.

Can confirm this, now that you can just spend 2-3k gold on AH to equip your lvl 80 with 285-290ilvl in all slots, dungeons spamming in premade group was super fast. We had a group with BDK, warrior, mage, sham healer + 1 random, we could pull everything in vicinity and AoE it in seconds, even adding extra packs to the pull that were skippable since xp per mob is actually decent in dungeons...Didn't track time but we did it in 1 long session during saturday so probably 9-10 hours (with breaks).

i did 80-85 as rogue solo lvling and i havent done this quests since OG cataclysm did mount hyjal deepholm and twilligt and did all quest in whole zones never touched any thing else and did x2 runs in blackrock and 1 run in stonecore took me 7.5 hours

@@Rudbeckbitten you can...however if it's your 85, you should at least get friendly rep with all the factions and almost complete deepholm questline anyway for the therazane friendly rep so you can get shoulder enchants at 85...even if you don't plan to buy any 346/359 items from reputations, at bare minimum you want one reputation to friendly (the one which has your head enchant) so you can equip tabard and spam heroics at 85 to cap valor and get shoulder/head enchants => you will use those the whole exp on my alts (meaning I already had 85 with all the reputations I need to buy head/shoulder enchants) I just spammed dungeons and watched tv series between the queue times, it wasn't the fastest but I hate questing so it was easier to do for me

Not everyone needs Vashj'ir Reputation, though everyone will need Therazane rep. Also, it's much easier to go back at 85 and blast through the quests than try to complete it while you're leveling up.

Finish Deepholm, the quests there are still good and you'll want to stay in Uldum past level 84 anyways.

The water zone is way more fun

Refer to the pinned comment. Also, to be clear, I'm not claiming that I have the world record. This is the fastest leveling route for normal players, aka 99.9% of players in this case.

Brother, you got REALLY confused. The white camel hint was in regards to the Feralas skinning spot, which I covered in a video weeks ago. I also specifically said on that stream that it had NOTHING to do with leveling at all since multiple people asked. I genuinely have no clue how you took my generic White Camel hint and got "you're able to level up to 85 in a few minutes" out of it. I never implied anything remotely close to that.
